DENTAL DEVICE
Device including implant type support defining constraint axis, connector operatively interconnecting the support and dental prosthesis along the constraint axis, defining a constraint configuration having firmly constrained support and prosthesis, and a graft including first portion extending mainly parallel to constraint axis, a body including guide extending along transverse or slanted direction relative to constraint axis and cavity extending parallel to constraint axis for housing the first portion when connector is in the constraint configuration, obstructer including slider compliantly housed within the guide. First portion including a hole substantially aligned with the guide, when the connector is in constraint configuration, to allow insertion of slider into hole, and the obstructer for achieving a force magnetic on the slider for moving the slider along the guide so at least part of the slider enters hole, when the connector realizes the constraint configuration, to obstruct reciprocal movement between graft and body.
FIXED HYBRID DENTAL ATTACHMENT ASSEMBLY AND METHODS OF USE
A dental attachment assembly is provided, including an abutment member and a male member. The abutment member may include an outer locating surface portion having at least two axially spaced retention portions having two generally rounded, annular projections. The male member for engagement over the outer locating surface of the abutment member may include an upper end and a continuous, unbroken skirt having a rounded, convex outer surface. The male member may be constructed from a rigid material and have at least two axially spaced, snap engaging formations on the inner surface of the skirt for snap engagement with the respective retention portions of the abutment member.
Dental attachment assembly cap and method of use
A dental attachment assembly and method anchors a dental appliance with an implant and has an abutment member attached to the implant, a retention member in releasable snap engagement with the abutment member, and a cap secured in a recess of the dental appliance and in releasable swivel engagement with the retention member to position and secure the dental appliance onto the implant. The cap includes a cavity with a rounded, concave inner surface which engages with the retention member, an interior top surface of the cavity with a concave recess extending radially along an outer periphery of the interior top surface of the cavity to allow for rotation of the retention member within the cap. A central portion of the interior top surface of the cavity surrounded by the concave recess therefore protrudes vertically into the cavity to minimize vertical displacement of the retention member as it rotates.
Shell for adapting a retention element and method for the same
In a shell for adapting a retention element to an anchoring element, and a method of forming a further retention element on an anchoring element including a shell, the shell has an internal cavity, the dimensions of which are matched to the external dimensions of the retention element and which is connectable to the retention element in an integral or form-fitting manner, and has an outer surface which is formed as a further retention element.
BAR, ASSEMBLY OF AN OVERDENTURE AND A BAR, OVERDENTURE
A bar for connecting dental implants, the bar provided to be received in a cavity of a component of a dental prosthesis, a base made of a biocompatible material including a high-performance polymer, and the base including recesses and the bar including click elements that are received in the respective recesses, the click elements provided for making click connections for connecting the bar to the dental implants, assembly of an overdenture and the bar, and an overdenture.
HYBRID CERAMIC PROSTHESIS
Proposed is a hybrid ceramic prosthesis. Since the prosthesis is made of a novel hybrid ceramic material, the prothesis has a similar color and transmittance to natural teeth, minimizes tooth removal during preparation for placement of the prothesis, is securely attached to the target tooth by snap-fit fastening to prevent detachment of the prothesis and re-treatment caused by the prothesis detachment, and can be more conveniently applied to the patient than conventional prostheses, enabling an one-day-one-stop dental procedure, thereby reducing burden to patients. The prothesis is useful as a primary crown.
DENTAL ATTACHMENT ASSEMBLIES, ANGLED IMPLANT ASSEMBLIES, AND METHODS OF USE
Dental attachment assemblies for a mouth of a patient are provided. Contemplated dental attachment assemblies may include an abutment member, and a retention member for attachment to the abutment member. The retention member may comprise an upper end and a continuous, unbroken skirt projecting from the upper end for fixed, non-patient removable, fixed engagement over an outer locating surface of the abutment member. The retention member can be constructed from a rigid material, such as PEEK, such that it provides a retentive force of about 10 to 75 pounds. The abutment member may be configured for attachment to an implant having an upper portion including a threaded portion configured to screw into a threaded recess of an abutment, and a lower portion including an angled platform and a threaded post extending from the platform.
Dental connection assembly and method for producing a dental prosthesis
The present invention relates to a connection assembly for attaching a dental component to a dental implant, a dental component for the connection assembly and a method to use the connection assembly. The connection assembly (100; 1100; 2100; 3100) is removably attachable to the dental implant (10; 1010; 2010; 3010), preferably with the dental component (20; 1020; 2020; 3020) attached to the connection assembly, and a dental component is attachable to the connection assembly in a pre-fastened state or a fastened state. The pre-fastened state, when the connection assembly is attached to the dental implant, the connection assembly allows for adjustment of a relative position and/or orientation between the dental component and the dental implant. In the fastened state, the relative position and/or orientation between the dental component and the connection assembly is fixed, while the connection assembly is in particular detachable from the dental implant with the dental component attached to the connection assembly in the fastened state.
Secure Friction Retained Denture
A feature for retaining a denture on dental implants is shown and described. An anchor for receiving prongs is threaded to each of one or more implants in the mouth. A denture having prong passages is placed onto jaw bone or overlying tissue, above the implant. The anchor occupies an opening in the denture. With the denture in place and with the prong passages aligned with prong reception sites of the anchor, a pronged denture connector is installed such that the prongs pass through the prong passages of the denture and penetrate the prong reception sites of the anchor. The prongs are frictionally secured in place by an elastic member lining the prong passages of the denture and constricting over inserted prongs. Optionally, the elastic members include a bridge securing one elastic member parallel to the other. The denture may comprise synthetic resin reinforced by a metallic reinforcing bar.
