MOUTHPIECE FOR A DENTAL CLEANING SYSTEM AND THE DENTAL CLEANING SYSTEM
The invention provides a mouthpiece for dental cleaning system and the dental cleaning system itself. The mouthpiece has a base and inner and outer arches. An actuator is for applying motion to the inner arch and/or the outer arch, relative to the base. A coupling arrangement converts motion of one of the inner and outer arches in one direction relative to the base to motion in an opposite direction relative to the base of the other of the inner and outer arches. By forming the mouthpiece as a central stationary base enveloped by two contour-following and moving arches, an anti-phase brushing motion at opposite tooth sites along the tooth arch is enabled, giving increased reach toward the molars as well as a reduction in device vibration in the mouth.
Personal care device actuator with rattle mitigation
An actuator (12) for a personal care appliance (10) having an eccentric core (21) to preload the actuator (12) to prevent rattling caused by detrimental reactionary forces. The eccentric core (21) includes a pole assembly (24) radially extending from a spindle 22 having at least a first set (25-1) and a second set (25-2) of pole members. The first set (25-1) has a greater length as measured from the center of the spindle 22 than the second set (24-2), reducing the magnet gap on one side of the spindle (22) to create an eccentric core and preload the actuator (12). Alternatively, the preload can be mechanically created by a set of bearings (28) disposed within housing (18) of the actuator 12, where the bearings (28) have a centerline (A3) offset from the principal axis (A1) of the housing (18).
PERSONAL CARE DEVICE ACTUATOR WITH RATTLE MITIGATION

The eccentric core (21) includes a pole assembly (24) radially extending from a spindle (22) having at least a first set (25-1) and a second set (25-2) of pole members. The first set (25-1) has a greater length as measured from the center of the spindle (22) than the second set (24-2), reducing the magnet gap on one side of the spindle (22) to create an eccentric core and preload the actuator (12). Alternatively, the preload can be mechanically created by a set of bearings (28) disposed within housing (18) of the actuator (12), where the bearings (28) have a centerline (A3) offset from the principal axis (A1) of the housing (18).
DRIVE UNIT AND PERSONAL-CARE DEVICE WITH A DRIVE UNIT
A drive unit for converting a rotational motion into a linear reciprocating motion includes a motor shaft extension having at least a first eccentric shaft element moving in a circle around the motor shaft's longitudinal axis and in a plane perpendicular thereto and at least one elastically deformable unit having a coupling element for coupling with a driven element. The first eccentric shaft element is coupled with the deformable unit to periodically deform the deformable unit so that a longitudinal position of the motor shaft of the coupling element of the deformable unit periodically changes. The deformable unit has a first arm section and a second arm section, each having a first end and a second end. The second end of the first arm section is connected to the first end of the second arm section, wherein the first end of the first arm section is connected to a mounting structure fixed relative to the motor. The second end of the second arm section is arranged with a distance to the first end of the first arm section in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the motor shaft.
Toothbrush system
A toothbrush apparatus and system and associated method. The apparatus includes a sensing module that performs at least one of the following: detect at least one time period associated with use of the toothbrush apparatus, detect one or more movements of the toothbrush apparatus, and any combination thereof. The apparatus's one or more processors communicatively coupled to the sensing module determine one or more measurements based on at least one of: the detected time periods, the detected movements, and any combination thereof, and store the determined measurements in one or more memory locations communicatively coupled to the processors. The apparatus also includes one or more feedback modules that receive the stored measurements and encode the measurements into corresponding feedback signals. One or more data transfer modules transmit the feedback signals.
TOOTH BRUSH APPARATUS AND METHODS OF USE
A tooth brush apparatus is disclosed including a plurality of brush heads disposed on the top surface, the first side surface, and the second side surface of the top portion to clean every tooth in the human mouth.
TOOTHBRUSHES AND AUDIBLE SIGNAL GENERATING COMPONENTS THEREOF
A toothbrush comprising a drive mechanism and electronic circuitry configured to drive the drive mechanism to execute toothbrushing motions is disclosed. The electronic circuitry comprises a drive circuitry and a controller which is configured to form a drive signal to operate the drive circuitry to generate drive current. The drive signal comprises a plurality of signal packets, wherein a signal packet has a signal packet duration and comprises a train of switching signals. The switching signals are configured to repeatedly switch on and switch off drive current supply to the drive mechanism at a switching frequency f.sub.s. The signal packet duration is configured to define a rhythm of toothbrushing motions.
IONIC TOOTHBRUSH
The disclosure provides an ionic toothbrush having an elongated body that may be configured to have a one-piece design, or alternatively one or more components of the ionic toothbrush may be removable and/or replaceable. In some embodiments, the present disclosure provides an ionic toothbrush which includes a handle portion, a brush head portion including a plurality of bristle tufts; and an electrical circuit configured to transmit a negative electrical charge through at least a portion of the brush head, wherein the electrical circuit includes one or more sections of conductive resin present on an outer surface of one or both of the handle portion and the brush head portion.
POWERED TOOTHBRUSH WITH COMPLEX MOVEMENT
Embodiments of the present invention comprise a powered toothbrush comprising a bristle head, an outer gear, and a plurality of bristles. Both the bristle head and the outer gear may comprise a distal end, a proximal end, and a center. The distal end of the bristle head may mate with the proximal end of the outer gear. The outer gear may rotate about a first axis of rotation. The mating between the bristle head and the outer gear may cause the bristle head to orbit the first axis of rotation via one or more bristle paths while simultaneously completing one or more rotary movements about a second axis of rotation, which may move along the bristle paths with the bristle head.
