DYNAMIC SEAL FOR USE IN A DENTAL HANDPIECE
A dynamic seal for use in a dental handpiece is disclosed. The dynamic seal includes a seal carrier including a first portion having a first feature for receiving a first compliant member and a second portion having a second feature for receiving a second compliant member, and a flange disposed between the first feature and the second feature.
Battery Powered Circuit For Ignition And Operation Of A UV Lamp
Typical prior art circuits for ignition and operation of UV lamps do not optimize power usage through the whole cycle of ignition and ongoing operation. Typically, the higher power required to initially ignite the UV lamp is not diminished once the UV lamp is burning brightly and at a desired temperature. The circuit of the present invention utilizes a sensor to monitor the light emitted from the UV lamp and a sensor to measure the temperature of the device containing the UV lamp as voltage is applied to it. Once the constant light and desired temperature are achieved, the voltage boost converter is latched away and constant lower voltage is provided to the UV lamp from that point forward, thus optimizing the energy consumption or the energy used for a battery powered device incorporating a UV lamp.
DENTAL MATERIAL COMPOSITIONS FOR CLEANSING AND REMOVAL OF ANIONIC CONTAMINANTS FROM SUBSTRATES & THEIR METHODS OF USE
Compositions and methods useful for removing anionic contaminates and debris including phosphates from dental restorative substrates are disclosed.
Cassette for Sterilizing Curing Light Devices within an Autoclave
An article of manufacture for providing a cassette to sterilize curing light devices within an autoclave is disclosed. The cassette includes an enclosing cassette base having a base surface, sidewalls, and an open top, a saddle for restraining a curing light device, and a plurality of venting openings in the base surface. The cassette is made of a cassette material permitting use in the autoclave having steam when in operation and is capable of holding up to 3 saddles for different curing light devices.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL AIR POLLUTION REDUCTION DEVICE
A multifunctional air pollution reduction device includes a tool and a multifunctional pollutant remover. The multifunctional pollutant remover is adjacent to or integrated with the tool. The multifunctional pollutant remover can not only reduce air pollution, but also help reduce one or more of the following problems when using the tools: noise, vibration and/or slip.
Utility Rings For Dental Hygiene
The invention is an assortment of apparatuses to magnetically tether a dental hygienist's hand to the utility tubes and hoses commonly found in a dental office. In a preferred embodiment, this is a ring containing a magnet which is worn by the hygienist. This tethers him or her finger to a utility hose or tube, which has a clasp that contains a reciprocal magnet. In another embodiment, the invention is a finger hold which contains a magnet that tether to the utility hose or tube via the magnetized clasp.
DENTAL POD
A dental pod that includes a receiver in a form of a cavity for receiving a distal end of a dental handheld device and one or more nozzles on a side of the receiver for cleaning and disinfecting the distal end of the dental handheld device. It also includes a cartridge compartment for receiving one or more cartridges support cleaning, setup, maintenance and other operations of and on the dental handheld device.
Dental appliance cleaner
The present invention discloses a system and method related to the field of dentistry, specifically dental appliances such as retainers, dentures, grills and athletic mouth-wear and is proposed to provide advanced assembly in providing assistance in cleaning the appliances through improved measures. Currently, there are cleaning methods for retainers and dentures, however they only include liquid solution methods without automatic moving bristles. As per the present art, users soak their retainers or dentures in the solution and then are required to use a toothbrush to scrub off excess liquid solution or built-up plaque that was not dissolved by the solution, making the process too repetitive and time consuming. Additionally, the toothbrush does not provide automatic circular motion, which is preferred in order to produce retainers or dentures that are plaque-free and completely transparent. Finally, appliances can be damaged and break when using a handheld technique with a toothbrush due to lack of support and stability for the appliance. This cleaning device takes into consideration these deficiencies and corrects them to make the process more effective and convenient for all users in any environment.
Mobile orthodontic treatment system and method
A mobile orthodontic treatment system includes comprising a mobile trailer and a panoramic machine provided within the trailer. The panoramic machine is configured to obtain a 2-D image of a patient's mouth and includes a base secured to the floor of the housing and a stanchion secured to the trailer by a bracket. The mobile orthodontic treatment system further includes a digital scanner and a monitor provided within the housing. The digital scanner is configured to obtain a 3-D image of the patient's mouth and display the image on the monitor. The digital scanner and the monitor are mounted on a wall of the housing by a wall mount articulating bracket. The mobile orthodontic treatment system further includes a lift assembly provided on one of a side and an end of the housing to enable disabled people to enter and exit the housing.
Improved Dental Mirror Cleaner
A dental mirror cleaner that utilizes a spray of high pressure water and air at an angle across the reflective face of a dental mirror while in a patient’s mouth to clean debris, blood and condensation from the mirror. It redirects the flow of the water and or air away from the centerline or linear axis of the mirror handle and sprays it offset from this centerline in a hemispherical pattern at an approximate 35 to 45 degree angle across the mirrored face.
