DENTAL INSTRUMENT
A dental instrument comprising a shaft and a working part adjoined thereto, with the working part having a coating in which abrasive bodies are embedded, is proposed. Firstly, the average proportion of the surface of the abrasive bodies which is covered by the coating can be at least 60%, preferably at least 65%, most preferably at least 70%. Secondly, the coating can, moreover, also consist of a nickel alloy which additionally contains at least one element selected from the group consisting of titanium, vanadium, niobium, chromium, molybdenum, tungsten, manganese, iron and cobalt. In addition, a process for coating a working part, in particular for producing a dental instrument of this type, and also the use of such a dental instrument for cutting machining of solid bodies are proposed.
Dental Wedges and Matrix Bands for Use in Direct Composite Restoration Techniques
A wedge for use in a dental restoration procedure for a tooth. The wedge includes a handle portion, a body portion coupled to and extending outward from the handle portion, the body portion adapted to be at least partially disposed in an approximal space between the tooth and a second tooth adjacent the tooth, a first arm extending from the body, away from the handle portion, a second arm extending from the body portion, away from the handle portion, a gap formed between the first arm and the second arm, and a third arm coupled to the first arm and extending toward the handle portion.
Denture deburr tool
A deburr tool and processes to smooth spires on dentures after an adjustment by the dentist for a proper fit are presented. The deburr tool may have a deburr element comprised of soapstone or chalk, and the deburr element may have a variety of geometric shapes. For example, it may be spherically shaped, parabolic shaped, triangular shaped, cylindrical shaped with and an outer face between a one side and an other side, or rectangular shaped. Appling the one or more outer faces, surfaces, or edges of soapstone to the spires and using a rotary or reciprocating motion, the spires may be smoothed to provide a comfortable fit. The deburr element may have a holding element with a distal end and an other end connected to the deburr element and configured to use in an individuals hand or may be configured to insert in a rotary or reciprocating machine.

MESO-ABRASIVE DENTIFRICE AND SYSTEM FOR USING SAME
A meso-abrasive dentifrice formulation of from 15 wt % to 30 wt % a first abrasive, from 10 wt % to 15 wt % a second abrasive, and excipients. The second abrasive is silica and is different from the first abrasive. A system is also disclosed for cleaning a human oral cavity having the disclosed meso-abrasive dentifrice formulation and an oscillating cup for delivery of the dentifrice formulation. The system demonstrates a Cleaning Efficiency Index (CEI) of from 2.34 to 2.45. The system demonstrates an Increase in Gloss Score of greater than 28 and a system Relative Dentin Abrasiveness (RDA) value less than 100.
Methods of making metal bond abrasive articles and metal bond abrasive articles
Methods of making metal bond abrasive articles via powder bed jetting are disclosed. Metal bond abrasive articles prepared by the method include abrasive articles having arcuate or tortuous cooling channels, abrasive segments, abrasive wheels, and rotary dental tools.

Interproximal polishing bur
A slender polishing tip is disclosed. In one example, it is an interproximal polishing bur, which is a dental instrument that is a small bit used in a high-speed handpiece by a dentist to perform dental work on the teeth of a patient. It smooths the adjacent tooth or restoration. An adjacent tooth may inadvertently become nicked by the high-speed handpiece while working on a tooth, leaving the adjacent surface roughened. This roughened surface will attract more bacteria and can be harmful to the health of the dentition. Presently, there are no such burs slender enough to fit into the small space available between the prepared tooth and the adjacent tooth to allow appropriate smoothing. The interproximal polishing bur described is small and slender with a particular shape designed to re-finish and re-polish the surfaces of an adjacent gold crown, porcelain crown, and natural dentition.

DENTAL TOOL AND DENTAL SYSTEM
The invention relates to a dental tool having a shank region, which is formed for coupling to a dental handpiece, and also having a work region, which is connected to the shank region. In this case, the shank region of the dental tool is formed so that there is the possibility of latchable insertion and removal without actuation. In particular, at least the shank region can consist of plastics material. As a result, inter alia facilitated handling of the tool and inexpensive production of the tool are rendered possible.
