Dental component and a dental implant
A dental component comprising a fixture engagement portion for engaging the dental component with a dental fixture adapted to be inserted into a jawbone or for engaging the dental component with a fixture replica.
Two-part modelling aid
A two part modelling aid for connection to a dental implant component including a hollow base part and a hollow angled part, each including a tubular side wall extending between apical and coronal ends. The base part side wall includes an anti-rotation section including a non-circular symmetric cross-section in a plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the base part. The angled part side wall forms an apical portion that extends along a first axis and is sized and shaped to form a friction fit with the base part, and a coronal portion extending along a second axis non-coaxial to the first axis. When connected, a closed channel is formed extending from the base part to the angled part, and the first axis of the apical portion is coaxial to the longitudinal axis of the base part and the anti-rotation section is exposed on a base part surface.
Adjustable Locking Device and Methods of Using Same
One or more specific embodiments disclosed herein includes a dental apparatus comprising a prosthesis, an implant fixture, a multi-unit abutment comprising a clocked projection and a conic section, and an adjustable locking device. The adjustable locking device may comprise a washer, a first pyramidal element, plurality of expansion segments each comprising a plurality of bottom planar surfaces and a plurality of top planar surfaces, a second pyramidal element comprising a second plurality of angled planar surfaces and a convex upper surface, a central retaining screw that threadingly engages the multi-unit abutment, and an O-ring, wherein the O-ring engages each of the plurality of expansion segments.
DENTAL TOOLS AND METHODS OF USE
Dental tools and methods for at least one of seating, insertion and removal of one or more components of dental attachment assemblies are described herein. The dental tools comprise an elongate member, an expandable grabber positioned around at least a portion of the elongate member, and an adjustment mechanism. The elongate member comprises an expander, which can have different widths or diameters along its length such that an adjustment of a position of the expandable grabber relative to the elongate member via the adjustment mechanism adjusts a width or diameter of at least a portion, preferably an end portion, of the expandable grabber.
Apparatuses and methods for making a final hybrid prosthesis to be attached to dental implants
The present invention includes apparatuses and methods for making a final hybrid prosthesis to be attached to one or more dental implants. One preferred method includes the step of making a temporary hybrid prosthesis and at about the same time also making a duplicate temporary hybrid prosthesis. The duplicate temporary hybrid prosthesis permits the final hybrid prosthesis to be made with fewer visits to a restorative dentist and with less dental laboratory time than is currently needed when making a final hybrid prosthesis.
Anchoring system for attaching a prosthesis to a human body
The present invention relates to an anchoring system for attaching a prosthesis to a human body, comprising: an anchoring element, an abutment, an abutment screw for attaching the abutment to the anchoring element, the anchoring element comprises a connection area for the abutment, the connection area comprising a press-fit portion such that the abutment is attached to the anchoring element in the connection area by a press-fit connection, wherein the connection area comprises an anti-rotation geometry and the abutment comprising a corresponding mating anti-rotation geometry proximal to the press-fit portion, and where in the connection area comprises a conical portion proximal to the anti-rotational geometry forming a mating geometry for a corresponding conical portion in the through-hole of the abutment.
Cap part for dental scanning
A cap part (1) placed on an interface (100) or on an attachment to act jointly as a scanning post. The cap part has a cavity (2) for housing at least one cylindrical portion (101) with a circular base of the interface or of the attachment. The cap part is configured by a single body having an upper portion (11) formed by a solid head (3) without holes or notches, and a lower portion (12) provided with a longitudinal blind hole forming the cavity (2). The blind hole has a retaining segment (4), the inner wall of which is partially or entirely formed by a concave, cylindrical retaining surface (40) with an elliptical or oval-shaped base for retaining by embedding an essentially cylindrical portion (101) of the interface (100) or of the attachment.
Double-cushioned dental implant
An dental implant has a substantially cylindrical solid base member; an abutment; an implant-abutment junction (IAJ) portion at one end of the base member to retain the abutment to the base member, so that the abutment is able to move within a predetermined distance alone an axial direction of the base member, a first cushion adapted to be mounted between the abutment and the base member, and a second cushion, preferably an elastomer, which is sandwiched between the IAJ portion and the abutment, wherein the first and second cushion are able to provide a resistance force when the abutment is pressed to move relatively toward the base member and providing a bouncing back force when the abutment is released from the pressing.
TOOTH REPLACEMENT FORMING DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR FORMING A TOOTH REPLACEMENT
Disclosed is a tooth replacement forming device (10) comprising an abutment on or to which a dental structure made of dental material, especially ceramics, can be fastened. The abutment is mounted on the implant using a detachable connection, in particular a screw connection, the abutment being provided with an implant connection, a collar, and a tubular portion to be connected to the dental structure. The disclosed device (10) is characterized in that a surrounding auxiliary element made of a residue-free material is arranged in such a way as to rest against the tubular portion.
DENTAL IMPLANT WITH INDEXING SURFACES HAVING A FRICTION-REDUCING COATING
The present invention relates to a connection between a post part provided for being screwed into the jawbone and an associated superstructure part to which a dental prosthesis can be fastened. The connection between the post part and the superstructure part has a rotational self-centering action, wherein at least one of the surfaces provided for this purpose has a friction-minimizing modification and/or coating.
