Composition for bone regeneration
The composition for bone regeneration, comprises a) a first phase (3) comprising a plurality of cross-linked hydrogel chunks (1) having a mean diameter of less than 1000 μm and incorporating an amount of mineral particles (2); and b) a second phase (4) comprising a physiologically-compatible aqueous liquid acting as a carrier for the chunks; the chunks being embedded in the second phase (4). The mineral particles (2) have a mean diameter of less than 10 μm and the amount of the mineral particles (2) is less than 20 weight-% of the first phase.
ANCHORAGE DEVICE FOR DENTAL PROSTHESES
A device for anchoring to the upper jaw bone dental prostheses of the upper dental arch using a plurality of intraosseous screws each provided with a thread and a bottom shank. A crosspiece with a plurality of nuts corresponding to the number of intraosseous screws are connected together by means of spacers, each nut having a female thread corresponding to the thread of a respective intraosseous screw. A lock nuts corresponding to the number of intraosseous screws are each provided with a female thread in turn corresponding to the thread of the respective screw. The crosspiece is designed to be inserted and housed, during use, in the maxillary sinus and the each screw is inserted inside a respective hole through the bone underneath the maxillary sinus so that it projects beyond the inner cortex of the bone and is inserted inside the respective nut of the crosspiece.
Bone foundation guide system and method
A bone foundation guide system having a bone foundation guide with a foundation guide body forming an open surgical space connecting a top of the bone foundation guide body with a bottom of the bone foundation guide body, the bottom contoured to removably affix the bone foundation guide body to the bone of a dental implant surgical site, the body further contoured to guide the cutting of bone from a dental implant surgical site and supporting a dental implant surgical guide; the dental implant surgical guide contoured to removably mate to the bone foundation guide body; wherein a combination of the bone foundation guide and the dental implant surgical guide forms a double open-ended placement channel that passes through a plurality of guiding cylinders held in tandem alignment to aid in the placement of a dental implant that is anchored in a site remote from the mouth.
Implant for covering bone defects in the jaw region and method for producing the same
The invention relates to an implant for covering bone defects in the jaw region, which comprises a magnesium film.
MAXILLARY SINUS LIFTING SIMULATION METHOD AND APPARATUS THEREFOR
A maxillary sinus lifting simulation method and an apparatus therefor are disclosed. According to the maxillary sinus lifting simulation method and apparatus therefor according to one embodiment, in a case in which an implant placed while performing implant placement simulation in a dental image involves the maxillary sinus, a maxillary sinus lifting simulation is automatically performed to display maxillary sinus lifting simulation information in the dental image. In this way, convenience of use can be improved, and errors can be reduced.
Drill for implant surgery
A drill for an implant surgery is provided which allows a mucous membrane in the maxillary sinus to be quickly and safely lifted without being damaged during a surgery for the maxillary sinus. The drill for use in an implant surgery includes a connection portion formed at an upper end of a body of the drill to be connected with a driving device; and a cutting portion formed at a lower end of the body and having a cutting blade for drilling, wherein an outer circumferential edge of a distal end of the cutting portion protrudes rather than a center of the distal end of the cutting portion.
Reamer for implant surgery
Disclosed is a reamer for implant surgery including: cutting front end portions each of which has a sharp front end; cut edges of a horizontal line form, the cutting front end portions and the cut edges being arranged radially and alternately, wherein one side of the cutting front end portion having the sharp front end has a triangular depressed face inclined downwardly toward a rotation central axis of the cutting part, and one side of the cut edge having the horizontal line form has a triangular inclined face inclined downwardly toward the outer circumferential surface of the cutting part, wherein an inclination angle of a side inclined edge inclined downwardly at the sides of the outer circumferences of the cutting front end portion and the cut edge becomes gradually smaller in the rotation direction of the cutting part.
COMPRESSION TOOL FOR DENTAL IMPLANTATION SITES, AND A METHOD OF USING THE SAME
A compression tool for performing a finishing procedure, within a bore hole formed within a human jawbone so as to serve as an implantation site for a dental implant, by compression and densification processes, comprises a tapered body portion, and a plurality of flute sections disposed the body portion, wherein, when the compression tool is rotated in a clockwise direction and simultaneously axially inserted into the bore hole, the plurality of flute sections, which comprise structure for continuously cutting bone material from bone mass surrounding and defining the bore hole formed within the human jawbone, for accumulating the bone material so as to prevent the bone material from being evacuated from the implantation site, and for immediately compressing the bone material, cut from the bone mass surrounding and defining the bore hole formed within the human jawbone, back into the bone mass surrounding and defining the bore hole formed within the human jawbone will compress, compact, and enhance the density of the bone mass surrounding and defining the bore hole formed within the human jawbone.
Apparatus and method for sinus lift procedure
An osteotome for sinus lift procedures includes a body interchangeable with various handles. The body includes a shaft that is releasably received into the handle, and a tip portion. The tip portion may be directly utilized for ridge expansion/bone compression, or a succession of tip members may instead be received thereon to provide suitable diameter escalation to create the socket. A conduit in the tip portion interconnects with a conduit in a hydration port and a conduit in a tip member. A hose couples the hydration port to a syringe, to deliver fluid out the tip member to lift the membrane. Graduated syringe markings permit delivery of measured fluid quantities to control the amount of lift. A second hydration port is coupled to a graduated cylinder through a valve, which is opened after lifting is complete, to measure the fluid released. A loss of fluid measured indicates a sinus tear.
IMPLANT FOR BONE-GRAFT AND A METHOD FOR BONE-GRAFTING USING THE SAME
An implant for bone-graft insertedly placed in a procedure pore, the implant includes a bone organism having a lump shape, and a protective film coated to cover an overall outer surface of the bone organism as to form an absorbent membrane. After the implant is insertedly placed in the procedure pore, the absorbent member is absorbed into a body and dissolved as time passes. The implant for the bone-graft may be applied to diverse procedures performed for hone-graft not only in a dental surgery but also in orthopedics or a plastic surgery.
