HATCHLING SUPPORTS, HATCHLING SUPPORT SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
Hatchling supports, hatchling support systems, and methods of using the same. The hatchling supports and methods of using the same may employ a cradle in combination with a calming band, with the cradle and calming band providing gentle support of a hatchling supported in the hatchling supports. The hatchling support systems and methods of using the same may include a cam with cam sections having different cam radii may provide the ability to gently transition the support and restraint provided to hatchlings during the loading and unloading of hatchlings from hatchling supports. In some cases, compression delivered to hatchlings in hatchling supports having both a cradle and calming band may be adjusted.
Livestock treatment method and apparatus
Provided is a method for treating animals, such as livestock, by exposing the animals to an airborne suspension of finely divided mineral salts. Treatment is effected upon inspiration of the mineral salts or skin contact with the mineral salts. The animals are accommodated in a treatment chamber with a substantially sealed limited confined volume and has a pressure difference airflow means, a dispensing means for the mineral salts and desiccant(s) in the walls and on the floor of the treatment chamber. The treatment chamber is a stationary installation or adapted as a trailer to treat animals during a journey or to transport the treatment chamber to the animals location, for example, a zoo or to apiaries.
Swine vaccination system
A system for vaccinating swine according to one embodiment includes a housing having an open first end and an open opposite second end. The housing has a pair of side walls that are angled and non-parallel to one another such that at the second end only a single piglet can exit at one time. The system also includes a vaccination station for individually vaccinating piglets. The vaccination station is located between the pair of side walls in a region thereof that is sized to only permit one piglet to stand between the side walls. The vaccination station includes at least one sensor that detects the presence of the one piglet within the vaccination station and at least one spray nozzle positioned within the vaccination station such that a vaccine dose discharged therefrom is directed upwardly into facial areas of the piglet effectively.
HORSE CARE APPARATUS
A hoof care apparatus is comprised of a generally cup-shaped body comprising a cylindrical side wall having an outer surface and an inner surface, the inner surface being sized and shaped for the receipt of and mating engagement with the bottom rim of a cylindrical dispenser containing a liquid hoof care product; and a tongue projecting radially from the outer surface of the side wall of the cylindrical body which serves as a hoof pick. The dispenser can be supported by the apparatus on a surface in an upright position when not in use.
VERSATILE INHALATION ANESTHESIA PLATFORM FOR SMALL ANIMAL SURGERY
A small animal bed for use with small animal subjects for sedatation during experimental procedures. In some embodiments, the bed uses flow of heated air through the bed to keep the small animal warm during the imaging process. The imaging bed can also incorporate an integrated anesthesia delivery system and exhaust to remove the unused anesthesia from the small animal bed. Various embodiments include a table platform, as well as a nose cone adapter for fitting multiple subjects simultaneously.
Sheep and Goat Containment Cage (Sheep Cage)
A rectangular shaped animal trapping cage with one side of the cage configured in two segments that can be swung toward the inside of the cage and locked to facilitate the immobilization of sheep and goat sized animals.
HEAD GATE FOR A CATTLE CONTAINMENT CHUTE
An animal head gate includes head gate doors each having a squeeze bar to trap the neck mounted between upper and lower rails. Adjustment of the spacing between the bars uses an eccentric crank operated by lever which cooperates with two manual latches on a rail at maximum and minimum spacing. A neck sweep bar is mounted on one gate and movable from a retracted position to a position forward of the squeeze bar across the head gate so as to engage the neck of the animal in front of the squeeze bar and to turn the neck and head. The head gate is held closed by front and rear abutment members each of which is formed as a roller which rotates to reduce friction under load. Each gate includes an upstanding torsion bar which twists when forces are applied to the squeeze bars from impact with the animal.

Animal restraint device and method
An animal restraining device and method provide dual capability for restraining an animal and administering medications. A first embodiment provides an administration tube connected to a body with handles which can be grasped by user to position the device either for restraining or administering medications. A second embodiment is a continuous hook-shaped member having a hollow passageway in order to introduce medications. The second embodiment is reversible to place either end of the device in the animal's mouth for restraining or administering medications, depending upon the size of the particular animal. The method of restraint includes positioning the device in the animal's mouth and applying a force to elicit a natural response by the animal which causes the animal to pause or remain motionless for a period of time while a caregiver may treat or examine the animal. Third and fourth embodiments of the device include opposing hook portions that can be used to hook or secure the leg of an animal prior to administering medications. The opposing hook portion has an end opposite curvature as opposed to the hook or curved form between the administration tube and body of the first embodiment, and an opposite curvature as compared to the hook shaped second embodiment.
THERAPEUTIC PET PILLOW AND HARNESS
A therapeutic pet pillow and harness is disclosed that assists in maintaining a desired head elevation for a pet to assist pets with a decreased esophageal muscle motility. The therapeutic pet pillow and harness aids in upper digestive system functions my imparting the elevated head positioning during resting periods for the pet. The elevated head positioning helps to decrease the possibility of fluid collection in the esophagus resulting in regurgitation, aspiration and/or failure to thrive. The therapeutic pet pillow and harness includes a cushion having an opening dimensioned to encircle a neck of the pet with an easement between an inner circumferential aspect of the opening. The harness assembly retains the cushion to the pet. A parting line allows the cushion to be opened to facilitate placement of the therapeutic pet pillow and harness about the neck of the pet.
