The earplug comprises an earcap and a filtering core mounted in the earcap, the earcap has a shell made of a flexible material, two ends of the shell are open, the two ends of the shell are respectively provided with a sound inlet and a sound outlet, the interior of the shell is disposed in a through manner, the filtering core is mounted between the sound inlet and the sound outlet, a filter net is disposed at a position close to the sound outlet, in the shell.
HEARING PROTECTION DEVICE
A device (1) for insertion into an ear canal of a mammalian subject. The device includes a body (2) having a sound path extending therethough and a tensioned membrane (10) in the sound path. The tensioned membrane has at least one corrugation (12). The device further includes an adjustable member (6) arranged to bear against the membrane to adjust the tension of the membrane and thereby to alter an acoustic response of the sound path. The adjustable member may include a compressible portion (8).
Custom electronic switchable hearing protection system
An electronic hearing protection system includes an electronic hearing device having a housing that is disposed in a recessed cavity in an earplug. The housing of the electronic hearing device is configured to be rotatable between multiple positions, including a first position in which a speaker of the electronic hearing device aligns with a sound tube in the earplug to permit sound generated by the speaker to travel through the sound tube to the user's ear canal, and a second position in which the housing blocks the sound tube to at least partially prevent sound from reaching the user's ear canal.
NEGATIVE POISSON`S RATIO MATERIALS FOR EAR PLUGS AND MOUTH GUARDS
An ear plug includes an elongated body sized and shaped to be partially inserted into an ear canal of a wearer, in which the body includes a negative Poisson's ratio (NPR) polymer foam material having a Poisson's ratio of between 0 and −1. A mouth guard includes an arc-shaped element sized to be received into a mouth of a wearer. The arc-shaped element has an outer wall, an inner wall, and a biting wall connecting the outer wall and the inner wall. The outer wall, the inner wall, and the biting wall define a channel that is sized to receive upper teeth of the wearer or lower teeth of the wearer. The outer wall, the biting wall, or both includes a negative Poisson's ratio (NPR) material having a Poisson's ratio between 0 and −1.
EARPIECE-FOAM SIZING APPARATUS AND METHOD
The present invention provides system for shaping at least a foam portion of an earpiece, the system including a sizer configured to receive at least the foam portion of the earpiece such that at least the foam portion of the earpiece is reduced in size before being placed into an ear of a user, wherein the sizer includes a hollow structure having an open first end and a second end, wherein the first end has a first cross-sectional area, wherein the second end has a second cross-sectional area, and wherein the first cross-sectional area is larger than the second cross-sectional area.
AN EARPLUG FOR ADMINISTERING A FLUID AGENT INTO AN EAR CANAL
An earplug (1) for administering a fluid agent into an ear canal is provided. The earplug (1) comprises a first part (10) adapted for insertion in the ear canal. The first part comprises an elongated member (11) having a chamber (12) for containing the fluid agent, the chamber (12) having at least one outlet (13) at a proximal end (14) of the elongated member (11); and a malleable member (17) disposed laterally of the elongated member (11). The earplug (1) further comprises a second part (20) comprising a piston (21). The piston (21) has a first end (22) which is insertable in the elongated member (11), and a second end (23) which has a push member (24). The piston (21) is displaceable from a first position (A) distally of the chamber (12) to a second position (B) within the chamber (12), such that the fluid agent is injected from the chamber (12) through the outlet (13) into the ear canal.
PLASTIC ALLOY EARPLUG CORE
A push-in earplug is provided. The push-in earplug comprises an elongate core comprising a first material and a second material. The push-in earplug also comprises an outer layer comprising a foamable material, the outer layer covering at least a portion of an outer surface of the elongate core. The second material is configured to thermally bond to the outer layer during activation of the foamable material.
Earpiece
An earpiece is provided. The earpiece can deform flexibly so as to follow the earhole when in use, and the earpiece can be manufactured easily. An earpiece includes an earpiece body and a filler filled in the earpiece body. The earpiece body has a container-like base member formed of a rubber-like elastic diaphragm that is shaped like a container and has an opening portion.
