TABBED AND SPLIT DUAL LINER
20230248363 · 2023-08-10 · ·

Disclosed is a two-component medical device useful for closing a wound or incision. The two-component medical device includes first and second adhesive-backed anchoring members having wound edges. A first and a second release liner protect the first adhesive-backed surface of the first adhesive-backed anchoring member. A first and a second release liner also protects the second adhesive-backed anchoring member. Each of the first and second release liners include a tab portion for removal of the associated first or second release liner.

Adhesive film bandage for medical compression

The present invention relates to a transparent elastic compression bandage film composite for the treatment of venous diseases and tissue lesions, comprising a transparent film layer of 5-50 microns thickness, a medical adhesive coated on at least a portion of one surface of the film layer, which is preferably hypoallergenic, a first release liner for longitudinal detachment covering the adhesive film surface and, optionally, a second release liner for longitudinal detachment to serve as a carrier, wherein the effects of elasticity and of strong adhesion add to a compression quality superior to textile European standard compression media, in the main affecting superficial varicosities and long-term wearing.

METHODS and DEVICES for SKIN CLOSURE

A wound closure device and a method of its use are disclosed. The wound closure device comprises a wound closure strip, the wound closure strip comprising a wound-facing side and a top side, the wound-facing side comprises an adhesive applied over at least a portion of the wound facing side of the wound closure strip and a non-symmetric, two-part release liner assembly detachably adhered to the adhesive, the release liner assembly comprising a first section and a second section with the second section comprising a wound closure strip-free portion forming a tab. In an alternate embodiment, the device is multi-segmented and the wound closure strip may be coextensive with the release liner assembly.

Pressure applying dressing

A dressing for applying pressure to a patient target site is provided. The dressing includes an elastic spacer longitudinally extending between first and second substrates. The elastic spacer is configured to be selectively moved between the first length and a second length. The second length is longer than the first length. A triggering element, when present, selectively maintains the elastic spacer at the second length and selectively prevents the elastic spacer from moving toward the first length. Portions of the triggering element are sequentially removable such that as each portion of the triggering element is removed, the elastic spacer sequentially moves from the second length toward the first length. The sequential movement of the elastic spacer from the second length toward the first length responsively urges the first and second substrates longitudinally toward one another to apply a predetermined amount of longitudinal force to the patient target site.

TRANSFER METHOD FOR TREATING ABRASION WOUNDS WITH CYANOACRYLATE GLUE
20220273497 · 2022-09-01 ·

A method for treating burns and abrasion wounds by applying a cyanoacrylate glue, using a method whereby a quantity of glue is initially applied to a flexible film of releasable material that does not adhere to the glue after it has set, and then transferring said glue to a wound site with light pressure applied through said film sufficient to control bleeding. Said application of glue under pressure will result in a thin layer of glue over the wound site that will react with the moisture present on the wound surface, thus polymerizing quickly and forming a protective coating on the wound that is flexible and sufficient to resist pathogenic penetration while simultaneously allowing the slow passage of moisture at a rate that will maintain an ideal relatively dry condition for the wound, to prevent infections that tend to develop with excessive moisture.

ADHESIVE EXAMINATION MARKER

An adhesive examination marker includes a base film having a front surface and a rear surface facing away from the front surface, a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer disposed on the rear surface of the base film, and a support attached to the front surface of the base film and having a shape along at least a part of a periphery of the base film as viewed perpendicular to the front surface of the base film, the support including a band-like portion that connects two points on the periphery of the base film which face each other across a central portion of the base film.

Medical tape

Medical tape suitable to be adhered onto a skin wound for healing of the skin wound or onto a scar for suppressing a thickening, an expansion and an extension of the scar after healing of the wound. The medical tape includes a flexible and stretchable substrate consisting of a plastic film or foil; a release paper which is adhered to one side of the substrate via a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer; and a peelable support consisting of two sheets of plastic films which are adhered to another side of the substrate via a silicone-coating layer and a slightly adhesive layer, in that order. The two sheets of plastic films are butted with each other at the midpoint of a longitudinal direction of the substrate, and over a widthwise direction of the substrate. The medical tape advantageously applies a shrinking force only to a wound surface or a scar surface.

TRIMMABLE CONFORMABLE WOUND DRESSING

Trimmable conformable wound dressings, kits containing the same and methods of using the same. The wound dressings may protect a treatment site from microbial contamination or other disturbances while a wound heals or to enable the application and maintenance of vacuum over the treatment site. The wound dressings may include first and second sections of support layer material on opposite sides of one or more intermediate sections of support layer material. The first and second sections of support layer material meet the intermediate sections of support layer material along peel tab junctions that provide peel tabs.

Embodiments include devices and methods configured to fractionally resect skin and/or fat. Fractional resection is applied as a stand-alone procedure in anatomical areas that are off-limits to conventional plastic surgery due to the poor tradeoff between the visibility of the incisional scar and amount of enhancement obtained. Fractional resection is also applied as an adjunct to established plastic surgery procedures such as liposuction, and is employed to significantly reduce the length of incisions required for a particular application. The shortening of incisions has application in both the aesthetic and reconstructive realms of plastic surgery.
