Embodiments include devices and methods configured to fractionally resect skin and/or fat. Fractional resection is applied as a stand-alone procedure in anatomical areas that are off-limits to conventional plastic surgery due to the poor tradeoff between the visibility of the incisional scar and amount of enhancement obtained. Fractional resection is also applied as an adjunct to established plastic surgery procedures such as liposuction, and is employed to significantly reduce the length of incisions required for a particular application. The shortening of incisions has application in both the aesthetic and reconstructive realms of plastic surgery.

COMPRESSION DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ADHERING COMPRESSION DEVICE

A compression device includes: an adhesive sheet having an adhesion surface; and a compression member configured to compress a biological surface. The compression member includes: a pressing body configured to press the biological surface by extending in a thickness direction of the adhesive sheet; and a holding body fixed to the adhesive sheet and configured to hold the pressing body. In a plan view seen in the thickness direction, a receiving portion, which is a region in which the adhesive sheet is not disposed or a region defined by a concave portion in an outer edge of the adhesive sheet and which is configured to receive a medical insertion member, is provided outside an outer edge of the holding body. The holding body includes, at a position adjacent the receiving portion, an identification portion configured to be visually identified in the plan view seen in the thickness direction.

COMPRESSION DEVICE SET AND METHOD FOR ATTACHING DEVICE

A compression device set includes: a compression device to be adhered to a biological surface; and a cover member attachable to and detachable from the compression device. The compression device includes: an adhesive sheet having an adhesion lower surface to be adhered to the biological surface; and a compression member fixed to an upper surface side of the adhesive sheet and configured to compress the biological surface when the adhesion surface is adhered to the biological surface. The adhesive sheet includes a first portion that is in contact with the compression member and a second portion that is not in contact with the compression member. The cover member is configured to be attached to the compression member in a state in which the cover member is configured to come into contact with an upper surface of at least a part of the second portion of the adhesive sheet.

DRESSING BAND

A wound closure device and a method of its use are disclosed. The wound closure device includes a wound closure strip, the wound closure strip including a wound-facing side and a top side, the wound-facing side comprises an adhesive applied over at least a portion of the wound facing side of the wound closure strip and a non-symmetric, two-part release liner assembly detachably adhered to the adhesive, the release liner assembly including a first section and a second section with the second section including a wound closure strip-free portion forming a tab. In an alternate embodiment, the device is multi-segmented and the wound closure strip may be coextensive with the release liner assembly.

SILICONE WOUND CONTACT LAYER WITH SILVER
20170231821 · 2017-08-17 ·

A silver-containing tissue dressing for providing antimicrobial properties to a wound site is disclosed. In some embodiments, the tissue dressing may include a wound contact layer having a substrate material coated with a tacky hydrophobic silicone material, and silver-containing particles dispersed in the silicone material. The different surfaces of the substrate material may be coated with the silicone material having various amounts of tackiness. The silver material may provide antimicrobial properties when the tissue dressing is placed in contact with the wound site.

Conformable drape cover dressing

A conformable wound dressing system that includes a backing and a dressing support layer. The backing has a first major surface, a second major surface opposite the first major surface, a perimeter that includes first and second lateral edges extending from a first end to a second end, and a longitudinal axis extending form the first end to the second end. An adhesive is on the first major surface and a dressing support layer is on the second major surface. The dressing support layer has a first section and second section where the first section is disconnected and spaced apart from the second section to define a gap extending from the first end of the backing to the second end of the backing.

Conformable wound dressing and delivery system

Medical articles comprising a conformable wound dressing and delivery system. The wound dressing generally comprises a backing having a first major surface and a second major surface, an adhesive on the second major surface of the backing, and an absorbent pad proximate the second major surface of the backing. The backing extends beyond the perimeter of the absorbent pad, typically beyond the entire perimeter of the pad. The perimeter of the wound dressing has a concave feature that exhibits a local minimum. An axis extends from the local minimum to the perimeter of the wound dressing opposite the local minimum. The carrier overlies at least a portion of the backing on each side of the axis but does not overlie the backing along the axis. The wound dressing is especially designed for use on round or irregular shaped body parts, such as an elbow or heel.

PRESSURE APPLYING DRESSING
20220175584 · 2022-06-09 ·

A dressing for applying pressure to a patient target site is provided. The dressing includes an elastic spacer longitudinally extending between first and second substrates. The elastic spacer is configured to be selectively moved between the first length and a second length. The second length is longer than the first length. A triggering element, when present, selectively maintains the elastic spacer at the second length and selectively prevents the elastic spacer from moving toward the first length. Portions of the triggering element are sequentially removable such that as each portion of the triggering element is removed, the elastic spacer sequentially moves from the second length toward the first length. The sequential movement of the elastic spacer from the second length toward the first length responsively urges the first and second substrates longitudinally toward one another to apply a predetermined amount of longitudinal force to the patient target site.
