A male incontinence disposable absorbent article comprising: a waistband assembly configured to be worn about a waist of a subject; and an absorbent panel assembly having first and second ends that are coupled to the waistband assembly, the absorbent panel assembly comprising a liquid-impervious topsheet, a liquid impervious backsheet, and an absorbent core positioned between the topsheet and backsheet, and further comprising lateral cuffs extending along a length of said core and joined to at least a portion of said topsheet on a skin-facing surface thereof; wherein the absorbent panel assembly is arranged such that it overlaps at least a portion of the waistband assembly in at least a front and/or back portion thereof, and wherein the waistband assembly comprises a first waist region, a second waist region, and a third waist region, each said waist regions comprising a plurality of elastic strands, wherein said elastic strands of said first waist region have a first spacing, said elastic strands of said second waist region have a second spacing, and said elastic strands of said third waist region have a third spacing, wherein said absorbent panel assembly comprises a frontal barrier comprising a nonwoven substrate that is joined to at least portions of each said lateral cuffs at distinct joining zones and wherein said joining zones do not substantially overlap with the topsheet in areas thereof that are free from said lateral cuffs such that a pocket is formed, and wherein said nonwoven substrate is joined to said topsheet along a further joining zone that is positioned between said distinct joining zones and along an extremity of the pocket along a transverse direction crossing the distinct joining zones, and in that said pocket is arranged to provide for containment of the male genitalia when the article is worn by a subject and/or provide a barrier to leakage on the front of said article towards the waistband assembly.

A disposable diaper having a first sheet of viscose fiber material disposed against a child's skin, an acquisition and diffusion layer (ADL) interposed over top of the first sheet of viscose fiber, a coating layer of tissue fiber interposed over top of the ADL layer, an absorbency core layer interposed over top of the coating layer, a permeable layer of polymer film interposed over top of the absorbency core layer, and a second sheet of viscose fiber material overlaid over top of the permeable polymer film layer, the second sheet functioning as the exterior sheet of the disposable diaper.

The leg gasketing system may include an inner cuff and an outer cuff. A connecting-type disposable wearing article including a three-dimensional waist gather rising from a front surface and being provided along a second blocking position disposed between first back fallen portions of a three-dimensional side gather. The three-dimensional waist gather has: a waist root portion attached along the second blocking position; a second portion extending from the waist root portion toward a waist edge side; second fallen portions formed by fixing both end portions in a width direction of the second portion in a fallen state, respectively; a second rising portion formed to be non-fixed between the second fallen portions in the second portion; and a second three-dimensional elastic member attached at least to a tip portion of the second rising portion, and at least the tip portion of the second rising portion is contracted in the width direction together with the second three-dimensional elastic member and extensible in the width direction.

This problems is solved by an attachable-type disposable wearing article including waist elastic members fixed to an end flap, and standup gather parts located on opposed sides in the width direction WD. The rising gather of a disposable diaper includes: a main unit portion having a first portion extending from both sides of an inner member toward the center in the width direction and a second portion extending outward in the width direction. Front and back fallen portions are formed by fixing front and back end portions in the main unit portion to the inner member. The front and back fallen portions have a protruding portion in which the second portion protrudes 5 to 40 mm outward in the width direction than a side edge of the first portion. A welded region having a predetermined length in the lateral direction is in a portion where each of the extension sections forms a leg opening.

A disposable absorbent article may include a topsheet, a backsheet, an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet, and a leg gasketing system. The leg gasketing system may include an inner cuff and an outer cuff. The inner cuff may include an inner cuff folded edge and an inner cuff material edge and the outer cuff may include an outer cuff folded edge and an outer cuff material edge such that the web of material is folded laterally inward to form the outer cuff folded edge and folded laterally outward to form the inner cuff folded edge.
