The upper segment includes a supporting plate with a first locking mechanism segment. The engagement surface includes a second locking mechanism segment. The first locking mechanism segment with at least two channels is structured to couple to the second locking mechanism segment with at least two protrusions. The at least one bone interfacing segment structured for insertion into the articular cartilage defect site. An implant including an implant fixation portion, a top articulating portion, and a locking mechanism with a first locking segment coupled to the upper segment and a second locking segment coupled to the at least one engagement surface and structured to couple to the first locking segment.
KNEE JOINT DEVICE AND METHOD
A medical device for implantation in a knee joint of a human patient is provided. The medical device comprises: an inner surface and an outer surface. The inner surface comprises: a first point, a second point, a third point, a fourth point, a fifth point, and a sixth point, all points located on different places along a length axis of said inner surface. A first straight line, reaching from the first point to the second point is parallel to a second straight line reaching from the third point to the fourth point, which in turn is parallel to a third straight line reaching from the fifth point to the sixth point. The first and third straight lines are of equal length and the second straight line is longer than the first, furthermore the third straight line is positioned between the first and third straight lines. Wherein the medical device comprises a first articulating surface adapted replaced the surface of the contacting surface of the medial condyle, a second articulating surface adapted to replace the contacting surface of the lateral condyle and a third articulating surface adapted to replace the contacting surface of the patella.
Helicoil interference fixation system for attaching a graft ligament to a bone
A helicoil interference fixation system comprising: a helicoil comprising a helical body comprising a plurality of turns separated by spaces therebetween, the helical body terminating in a proximal end and a distal end, and at least one internal strut extending between at least two turns of the helical body; and an inserter for turning the helicoil, the inserter comprising at least one groove for receiving the at least one strut; the helicoil being mounted on the inserter such that the at least one strut of the helicoil is mounted in the at least one groove of the inserter, such that rotation of the inserter causes rotation of the helicoil.
Punch, implant and associated method
A kit for use in performing joint arthroplasty on a head of a long bone is disclosed. The kit includes: a first implant including a first implant articulating surface and an opposed first implant mounting surface having a first implant location feature; and an instrument for preparing a cavity in the head of the long bone. The instrument includes a body and a punch extending from the body. The punch includes a portion thereof having a shape similar to the first implant location surface of the implant. A method for providing joint arthroplasty is also disclosed.
IMPLANT AND COVERING METHODS AND APPARATUS
In some aspects, a device comprising an implant configured for insertion into a portion of human anatomy, and at least one covering coupled to the implant is provided. According to some aspects, the implant comprises one or more protrusions configured to prevent leakage of material and/or to resist displacement of the implant. According to some aspects, the covering is configured to facilitate improved leakage and/or implant displacement prevention.
AUGMENTATION DEVICE, COMPOSITE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A COMPOSITE
Augmentation material having a wire and, in axial alignment along the wire, a plurality of groups of axially adjacent connecting elements that extend radially from the wire, wherein the connecting elements are designed such that, when a first group from the plurality of groups is pressed together with a further group from the plurality of groups, the connecting element of the two groups can be connected to one another in a positive-locking and/or friction-locking manner.
METATARSAL ARTHROPLASTY DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
Implants, systems, instruments, methods, and kits for metatarsophalangeal joint arthroplasty may include metatarsal arthroplasty implants, repositioning guides, broach tools, inserter tools, and sterilizable packaging configured to facilitate metatarsal arthroplasty surgical procedures. The metatarsal arthroplasty implants may generally include an articular member having a convex articular surface, a concave bone-facing surface opposite the convex articular surface, and at least one side surface intermediate the convex articular surface and the concave bone-facing surface, as well as a central shaft sized for insertion into a metatarsal bone having a central shaft longitudinal axis, a central shaft proximal end coupled to the concave bone-facing surface of the articular member, and a central shaft distal end extending away from the concave bone-facing surface of the articular member along the central shaft longitudinal axis.
SACROILIAC JOINT STABILIZATION SYSTEM
A sacroiliac joint implant system includes a primary implant configured to be received in a sacroiliac joint of a patient and a secondary implant configured to couple with the primary implant. The primary implant includes a body extending from a proximal end to a distal end and a plurality of threads extending from the body. The secondary implant includes a first anchor configured to anchor within a sacrum of the patient and a second anchor configured to anchor within an ilium of the patient.
SURGICAL KIT FOR REPAIR OF ARTICULAR SURFACES IN THE TALOCRURAL JOINT INCLUDING SURGICAL SAW GUIDE
A surgical kit suitable for repair of articular surfaces in the talocrural joint, includes: a surgical implant having a cap with an outer surface conforming to a talus dome surface and an inner surface having a central implant anchoring peg extending perpendicularly from said inner surface, a hollow tubular shell suitable for correct pre-drilling for implantation of the surgical joint implant in the dome of the talus, and a saw guide conforming and fixable to the lower portion of the tibia and providing saw guide surfaces in at least one plane, suitable for osteotomy of a lower portion of a tibia to expose the dome of the talus.
Bone implant augment and offset device
A bone insert includes a cap having a convex top surface made from a plurality of cap micro struts, an elongated stem made from a plurality of stem micro struts, and a barrier between the cap and the stem. The stem of the bone insert is inserted into a hole formed in a host bone until the barrier is pressed against the exposed bone. The bone implant can be placed against a small focus contact point on the cap. Liquid cement can be injected into a large center hole in the cap and the cement can flow through the fenestrations between all of the cap micro struts as well as the space between the bone implant and the bone. The cement can cure to create a high strength structure that provides a strong bond between the bone implant and the host bone.
