The base plate includes a bone facing side, an implant side opposite the bone facing side, a curvate perimeter, at least one fin protruding from the bone facing side a first distance and extending linearly a length along the bone facing side, and an implant engagement structure on the implant side. The humeral head implant includes a curvate implant surface and a base plate engagement structure opposite the curvate implant surface, the base plate engagement structure configured to couple to the implant engagement structure of the base plate.

Intervertebral implant with keel

An intervertebral implant component of an intervertebral implant includes an outer surface for engaging an adjacent vertebra and an inner surface. A keel extends from the outer surface and is designed to be disposed in a slot provided in the adjacent vertebra. This keel extends in a plane which is non-perpendicular to the outer surface; and preferably there are two of the keels extending from the outer surface which are preferably offset laterally from one another. In another embodiment, an anterior shelf is provided at an anterior end of the outer surface, and this anterior shelf extends vertically away from the inner surface in order to help prevent bone growth from the adjacent vertebra towards the inner surface. Further in accordance with disclosed embodiments, various materials, shapes and forms of construction of the component and/or keel provide various benefits.

JOINT REPLACEMENT PROSTHESIS WITH TRANS-CORTICAL STEMS

Provided is a novel joint replacement prosthesis that includes a base component, and one or more modular stems. The base component includes a bone-facing surface including one or more stem connectors configured for receiving and forming connections with the one or more modular stems inserted from the bone-facing surface side.

Osseointegrated implant assembly having transverse through-openings, and systems and methods of using same

An implant assembly for a long bone having a longitudinal axis. The implant assembly has a stem that is received in a surgically prepared medullary canal of the long bone. The stem defines at least one transverse through-opening that extends through the stem from a first portion of the outer surface of the stem to an opposed second portion of the outer surface of the stem. Each transverse through-opening has a central axis that is substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the stem. Each transverse through-opening receives a fastener and has a longitudinal dimension, measured relative to the longitudinal axis of the stem, that is sufficient to permit axial movement, relative to the longitudinal axis of the stem, of the stem relative to each fastener.

Perfected total shoulder prosthesis

A shoulder prosthesis includes a humeral portion and a scapular portion, each having an osseointegrable component and an articular component. The osseointegrable component in the humeral portion includes a humeral body produced as a semicircular asymmetrical cage having a proximal circular ring base facing the scapular portion and an eccentric distal cylindrical base in opposite position, which are connected by arms having one or more holes for favoring the growth of bone tissue and facilitating anchorage to the bone, the proximal circular ring base being configured to be interchangeably coupled with the articular component for an anatomical prosthesis or a concave insert for a reverse prosthesis. The osseointegrable component in the scapular portion includes a glenoid base-plate of asymmetric form for coupling to an articular component, such as a concave glenoid insert, for an anatomical prosthesis or a glenosphere for a reverse prosthesis.

DEVICES AND METHODS FOR METATARSOPHALANGEAL ARTHROPLASTY PROCEDURES

The present technology relates generally to devices and methods for arthroplasty procedures. In some embodiments, for example, a device is disclosed for use during an arthroplasty procedure of a joint of a patient, the joint extending between a first joint end of a first bone and an abutting second joint end of a second bone of the patient. The device includes an end plate configured and arranged for disposing over the first joint end of the first bone, a longitudinal plate extending from the end plate and configured and arranged for disposing along a medial, longitudinal surface of the first bone, and a stem extending from the end plate and suitable for extending along an intra-medullary canal of the first bone. When installed, at least one fastener extends at least partially through the first bone and couples the longitudinal plate to the first bone.

STABILIZED DRILL GUIDE
20170348112 · 2017-12-07 ·

A drill guide includes a working portion and a shaft, with a joint formed between the working portion and the shaft so that the shaft is movable relative to the working portion about the joint. The working portion includes at least one drill guide hole which receives a drill for making a hole in a bone. The joint isolates the working portion from unintentional movements of the shaft so that the working portion remains stable against a bone surface. The joint also enables the shaft to be used as a retractor or pry bar against surrounding anatomical structures if desired. The drill guide may be included in a system with an implant component and/or other surgical instruments.

KNEE JOINT PROSTHESIS AND TIBIAL COMPONENT THEREOF
20220346963 · 2022-11-03 ·

The knee joint prosthesis includes a tibial component and a femoral component. The tibial component has a top surface, a bottom surface opposite to the top surface and a first slot passing through the top surface and the bottom surface for accommodating a cruciate ligament. The tibial component has at least one first protrusion disposed on the bottom surface. The femoral component is carried by the tibial component and has a second slot for accommodating the cruciate ligament. The femoral component has at least one second protrusion disposed on a surface thereof opposite to the tibial component. The at least one first protrusion includes a receded incision positioned on a rear edge of the at least one first protrusion and the receded incision is receded in a direction from posterior to anterior.

GLENOID ARTHROPLASTY
20170239058 · 2017-08-24 ·

Arthroplasty components include an articular surface and a bone-facing surface. The bone-facing surface bears at least one anchoring element adapted for an oblique implantation trajectory. The articular surface may include a larger radius of curvature in the superior-inferior direction than in the anterior-posterior direction. An inferior chamfer may be present on the articular surface. Instruments and implantation methods are also disclosed.

20170319348 · 2017-11-09 ·

Arthroplasty components include an articular surface and a bone-facing surface. In some examples, the bone-facing surface bears at least one anchoring element adapted for an oblique implantation trajectory. The anchoring element includes a reinforcement plate, a dowel, and surface features. Each surface feature resists forces acting along a different direction. In other examples, the bone-facing surface bears anchoring elements that deform along the primary or longest axis of the anchoring element during insertion. In yet other examples, the bone-facing surface is enlarged relative to the articular surface so that at least a portion of the perimeter of the articular surface is circumscribed by the perimeter of the bone-facing surface.
