11576686 · 2023-02-14 · ·

The present disclosure includes apparatuses for a bone graft harvesting device. An example apparatus includes a blade tip including a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the distal end of the blade tip includes a number of blades configured to morcellate bone in response to being rotated and a lead tip located within the blade tip and configured to maintain the bone graft harvesting apparatus centered on a bone graft punch hole.

Bone Fragment Collector And Processor

A device for collecting bone fragments includes a housing (512) and a filter element (522) disposed in the housing. The filter element has a first end (524), a second end (526), and a sidewall (528) that defines an inner peripheral (530) and outer peripheral (532) surface and includes a plurality of filter apertures (534). The inner peripheral surface at least partially defines a collection chamber (536) for collection of a composition comprising bone fragments. The outer peripheral surface of the sidewall and the housing are spaced apart from one another to define an exterior radial volume (540). The filter element also has a proximal portion (535) adjacent the second end (526) which defines at least one drain aperture (555). The composition is acquired and collected in the collection chamber with the exterior radial volume providing a primary fluid communication path with a vacuum source and the at least one drain aperture providing a supplementary fluid communication path with the vacuum source.

Bone fusion system
11696771 · 2023-07-11 · ·

A method of fusing a first bone and a second bone. An abrading and harvesting device is provided that includes a needle portion having a sharpened tip. The needle portion has a central bore extending therethrough. The needle portion has a proximal end and a distal end. The sharpened tip is attached to the distal end of the needle portion. A probe is provided having an unsharpened tip portion. The probe is extended between the first bone and the second bone. The needle portion is extended over the probe by passing the proximal end of the probe through the central bore. The first bone and the second bone are abraded with the sharpened tip to cause bleeding bone to be exposed on the first bone and the second bone. A device is placed along a path formed by the needle portion between the first bone and the second bone.

Method of preparing a bone site for restoration procedure
11529221 · 2022-12-20 ·

A predetermined bone site in a patient selected for restoration is exposed, contacted with an aqueous, methylene blue containing phosphoric acid solution for a time period of at least 3 minutes but no more than about 15 minutes, and thereafter cleansed ultrasonically to remove any bacteria that may be present. Preferred phosphoric acid concentration in the aqueous solution is about 37 percent by weight.

COMPOSITE DEMINERALIZED BONE MATRIX COMPOSITION CONTAINING BONE MINERAL COMPONENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
20220378980 · 2022-12-01 ·

A method for producing a composite demineralized bone matrix composition using a one-step process is described. The composite demineralized bone matrix composition is produced from the biologically-derived bone. In addition, the composite demineralized bone matrix composition contains bone minerals according to the original composition proportion in the bone and may provide a bone mineral content condition that is closest to that in an environment in which in vivo bone formation occurs. In addition, the composition contains a bone morphogenetic protein (BMP-2), and thus enables a stable and excellent bone formation effect to be derived.

Method for treating joint pain

A method for treating joint pain in a subject is disclosed. The method can include inserting a bone dowel and a first portion of a bone marrow aspirate into a subchondral region of a bone that is part of a joint being treated and introducing a second portion of the bone marrow aspirate into the intraarticular space of the joint being treated.

ORTHOPAEDIC PLANNING SYSTEMS, INSTRUMENTATION AND METHODS OF REPAIR

This disclosure relates to planning systems, methods and instrumentation. The planning systems, methods and instrumentation disclosed herein may be utilized for planning orthopaedic procedures to restore functionality to a joint, may include determining an amount of bone loss along or otherwise adjacent to an articular surface of a bone. Instrumentation may be formed based on one or more dimensions associated with the bone loss. The articular surface may be repaired, which may include utilizing the instrumentation and planning systems to position and secure a bone graft along a position of the bone associated with the bone loss.

BONE IMPACTOR SYSTEMS AND PROCESSES FOR USING SAME

A bone graft generation and delivery process can include inserting bone material into an impactor system. The process can include processing, via the impactor system, the bone material into bone graft material. Processing the bone material can include milling the bone material via a first rotational element of the impactor system. Processing the bone material can include cutting the bone material via a second rotational element of the impactor system. Processing the material can include filtering the cut and milled bone material to isolate bone graft material. The process can include delivering, via the impactor system, the bone graft material to a target site.

SURGERY DEVICE WITH PATIENT-SPECIFIC FIBULA MALLEOLUS CAP
20220339007 · 2022-10-27 ·

Described are fibula malleolus caps and surgery devices with fibula malleolus caps. The fibula malleolus caps may be patient-specific fibula malleolus caps. The devices with patient-specific fibula malleolus caps overcome the sliding and rotational errors during fibula flap harvesting. A comparative clinical study demonstrates that the fibula malleolus cap enhances the accuracy of fibula flap harvesting, leading to accurate location and angulation of simultaneous dental implants.

BONE PLUG COMPRESSION INSTRUMENT
20220331127 · 2022-10-20 ·

A bone plug compression instrument that can be used to reshape includes a first compression element having a first cavity, a second compression element having a second cavity, and a base portion for supporting the first and second compression elements. The second compression element moves between first and second positions. In the first position, the bone plug compression instrument forms an open configuration, in which the first and second cavities are spaced apart from each other allowing the bone plug in a substantially non-compressed state to be inserted in a space between the first and second cavities In the second position, the bone plug compression instrument forms a closed configuration, in which the first and second cavities press against each other to form a combined cavity for compressing the bone plug received in the combined cavity. The combined cavity has at least a partially converging shape.
