Atraumatic stent and method and apparatus for making the same

A method of braiding a stent includes braiding a number of elongate filaments around a mandrel using tensioned braiding carriers without spooling the filaments to the tensioned braiding carriers to form a braided stent having atraumatic ends.

Stent graft

A stent graft, including multiple wavy rings. The stent graft includes, in a circumferential direction, a region A and a region B connected to the region A. Each wavy ring includes a first wavy section located in the region A, and a second wavy section located in the region B. The wave included angle of the first wavy section is about 70°-120°; the ratio of the wave height of the first wavy section to the spacing between adjacent first wavy sections is 1/4-3; the wave included angle of the second wavy section is 30°-60°, the ratio of the wave height of the second wavy section to the spacing between adjacent second wavy sections is 1/4-3/2, and the ratio of the wave height of the first wavy section to the wave height of the second wavy section is greater than or equal to 1/3 and less than 1.

INTRAVASCULAR STENT

A stent design reduces the likelihood of contact among structural members when the stent diameter is reduced before insertion into the body. In one approach, an undulating link has a J-shaped profile or has an angled portion on one side at the peak of the link, in order to reduce contact during crimping. The stent may also include structural features that improve such aspects as flexibility, the coatibility of a drug coating onto the stent, flare reduction, stent retention within the body and/or reduction of the minimum diameter of the stent during crimping.

A medical device may include an implantable device for treating a body tissue structure. The implantable device may include a wire structure which may include a wave pattern. The wire structure may be elastic so as to provide a pressure around the body tissue structure such that the pressure may change with movement of the body tissue structure.

Low profile non-symmetrical stent

A stent for use in a medical procedure having opposing sets of curved apices, where the curved section of one set of apices has a radius of curvature that is greater than the curved section of the other set of apices. One or more such stents may be attached to a graft material for use in endovascular treatment of, for example, aneurysm, thoracic dissection, or other body vessel condition.

Covered stent

A stent graft comprises a plurality of wavy rings sequentially arranged in a spaced manner, and membranes fixed to the plurality of wavy rings, wherein the stent graft comprises, in a circumferential direction, at least one keel region and a non-keel region connected to the keel region, the keel region having an axial shortening rate that is less than that of the non-keel region, and the axial shortening rate of the keel region is 10-40%. The stent graft can be bent in all directions, and the keel region on the stent graft can provide a sufficient amount of an axial support force for the stent.

Stent Graft

A stent graft includes a tubular member, a plurality of stent rings, and an uncovered section. The tubular member extends between a proximal end and a distal end. The plurality of stent rings extend in a ring shape while alternatingly bending toward the proximal end side and toward the distal end side. The plurality of stent rings include a plurality of fluctuating rings and a small fixed ring. The plurality of fluctuating rings have a first region in which the amplitude is a first value and a second region in which the amplitude is a second value smaller than the first value. The small fixed ring exhibits a maximum amplitude which is a third value which is smaller than the first value. The uncovered section extends while alternatingly bending toward a base end side and toward a tip end side.

Stent Graft

A stent graft includes a tubular member and a plurality of stent rings. The plurality of stent rings are alternately bent toward a central end side and toward a peripheral end side. The plurality of stent rings include a plurality of fluctuating rings and a small fixed ring. The plurality of fluctuating rings are arranged in order of a first fluctuating ring, a second fluctuating ring . . . , from the proximal end side toward the distal end side. A first distance that is a maximum value of a distance between a center position of the first fluctuating ring and a center position of the second fluctuating ring is greater than any nth distance that is a maximum value of a distance between a center position of an nth fluctuating ring and a center position of an n+1th fluctuating ring.
