Adjustable finger splint
An adjustable finger splint having a main body and slide. The slide configured to move relative to the main body and including a wedge to apply variable pressure to an injured finger to cause the injured finger to extend or straighten. The main body having a proximal interphalangeal platform to support the proximal interphalangeal joint, a metacarpophalangeal platform to support the palm and metacarpophalangeal joint, and a slide platform to support the slide.
ORTHOPEDIC DEVICE FOR DYNAMICALLY TREATING THE KNEE
An orthopedic device includes a hinge assembly, a frame having first and second frame components spaced apart from and connected to one another by the hinge assembly, a strap system extending between medial and lateral sides of the first frame component, and at least one tensioning element. The at least one tensioning element has a first end secured to the strap system and a second end coupled to the hinge assembly. Articulation of the hinge assembly pulls the strap system toward the frontal plane by the at least one tensioning element.
SUPPORTS INCLUDING DUAL PIVOT AXES FOR HINGE JOINT
A support for an area of a body having a hinge joint includes: a flexible, elastically stretchable framework configured to extend across the hinge joint of the area of the body; and a hinge mechanism affixed to the framework. The hinge mechanism includes a strut component and a first arm component connected to the strut component such that the first arm component is rotatable relative to the strut component only about a first pivot axis. A second arm component is connected to the strut component such that the second arm component is rotatable relative to the strut component only about a second pivot axis. The strut component is configured to extend with the framework across the hinge joint such that the first pivot axis is located on a first side of the hinge joint and the second pivot axis is located on a second, opposite side of the hinge joint.
Orthopedic device for unloading a knee
An orthopedic device comprising a first shell, a second shell, and a hinge connecting to the first and second shells. A first strap having a first end slidably connects to the first shell and a second end removably anchors to the second shell. An overlay extends over a portion of the first shell and forms a clearance with the first shell into which the first end of the first strap extends. Portions of the overlay secure to the first shell outside of the clearance.
Orthopedic device having a suspension element
An orthopedic device includes a frame, a brace component, and a suspension element supporting the brace component and connecting the brace component to the frame. The suspension element is suspended relative to the frame and capable of independent movement relative thereto in a controlled manner.
Multi-component frame for use in an orthopedic device
A multi-component frame includes a first component made from a rigid structural material and a second component connected to at least an end portion the first component. The first component is constructed from a metal or metal alloy, and the second component is constructed from a material different from the first component. The first and second components form at least part of a length of the multi-component frame.
NON-FIXED SHOULDER BRACE
A non-fixed shoulder brace is provided comprising: an affected shoulder support which is supported on an affected shoulder of a wearer; a waist support coupled to the wearer's waist; an affected arm mounting part in which the wearer's affected arm is inserted and which is supported by means of an affected shoulder strap member from the affected shoulder support; and an affected upper limb exercise assistance apparatus coupled to both ends of the waist support and disposed between the wearer's waist and the affected arm mounting part.
Ankle brace
An ankle brace for treating or preventing a high ankle sprain is disclosed. The ankle brace includes a body configured to be worn over an ankle. A tightening mechanism is attached to the body and configured to tighten the body around a wearer's lower leg to prevent distal ends of the tibia and fibula from separating. A torsion strap is attached to the body and configured to wrap from a fifth metatarsal to a medial malleolus to limit external rotation of the foot. The ankle brace can include lateral and medial straps for limiting eversion and inversion of the foot. The ankle brace can include heat moldable lateral and medial support plates.
FOOT BRACE
A foot brace to manage foot supination includes a planar member, the planar member has a proximal end and a distal end, an upper portion, a middle portion, and a lower portion. The middle portion can include an opening for the heel to protrude. A leg fastener at the proximal end of the planar member allows securing the foot brace to the leg. A foot strap at the distal end allows securing the foot brace to the midfoot or the forefoot. On an inner surface of the planar member adjacent to the distal end can be provided multi-tier cushions pads, wherein the multi-tier cushion pads can put an upward force on the arch of the foot when the foot with the foot brace is placed on the floor. The number of cushion pads can be changed for optimum stabilization effect in foot supination.
System for supporting a liner on a frame element
A system for supporting a liner on a frame element includes a liner and a frame element. A fastener connects the liner to the frame element, such that the fastener corresponds to an aperture defined by the frame element. The fastener is configured and dimensioned to removably secure to the frame element at the at least one aperture. The frame element comprises a semi-rigid or rigid base frame element, and an interface layer secured about the base frame element. The interface layer is formed from a resilient material more compressible than the base frame element, and the liner is more flexible than the interface layer.
