ADHESIVE SHEET
An adhesive sheet that is resistant to peeling when adhered to a movable part of a human is provided. The adhesive sheet is an adhesive sheet configured to be adhered to a movable part of a human, the adhesive sheet including: a sheet body having a first region, the first region having a surface on which a gel is laid out; and at least one slit formed from a peripheral part of the sheet body toward the inside of the sheet body.
COOLING GARMENT
A cooling garment including an article of clothing; and a cooling system associated with the article of clothing, which includes (a) a fabric portion incorporated into or integrated within the article of clothing; and (b) a fluid supply and dispensing apparatus for supplying and dispensing fluid to the fabric portion. The apparatus includes (i) at least one fluid bladder for holding fluid; (ii) a fluid pumping mechanism; and (iii) tubing having a tubing outlet for conveying fluid from the bladder and dispensing the fluid from the tubing outlet to the fabric portion. The clothing is configured to hold the fabric portion snugly to the body of the wearer and the fabric portion is disposed adjacent at least one superficial blood vessel so as to dispense the fluid specifically to the fabric portion adjacent the at least one superficial blood vessel and not to other areas of the clothing.
PROVIDING THERAPEUTIC RECOVERY USING HEAT DISSIPATION FOR WEARABLE APPLICATIONS
A wearable device includes a housing to encompass a portion of a body part, biometric sensors coupled to the housing, a controller coupled to the housing and biometric sensors, a communication channel for communicating with external devices and a temperature regulator to controllably adjust a temperature of the housing. The wearable device is configured to provide remote controlled heating and cooling of the body part. The wearable device may include an evaporative heat exchanger and a thermoelectric heat pump. The wearable device may provide means for dissipating heat through vaporization of a substance or using an advective flux and phase transition.
Vapocoolant device
The present disclosure discloses and describes a vapocoolant dispenser. Specifically, the dispenser comprises a housing and container of vapocoolant, the dispenser configured to receive a sterilizable dose of high energy radiation and to provide a sterile, hermetically sealed vapocoolant dispenser.
BRASSIERE INCORPORATING A HOT FLASH MITIGATION SYSTEM
A brassiere incorporating a hot flash mitigation system for cooling the upper torso, chest and neck area of a wearer is disclosed. The brassiere comprises two front panel sections connectively engaged to each other, at least one rear panel section connectively engaged to each of the two front panel sections. The hot flash mitigation system provides a deformable reservoir for containing and dispensing a fluid therefrom. The deformable reservoir is disposed in mating and contacting engagement with the brassiere and has an outlet in cooperative fluid engagement thereto. At least one duct disposed proximate to one of the at least two front panel sections is in fluid engagement with the outlet of the deformable reservoir. At least one nozzle disposed upon an end of the duct distal from the deformable reservoir operatively conveys the fluid from the duct to the upper torso, chest and neck area of the wearer.
DEVICE FOR REMOVING HEAT, ENERGY, AND/OR FLUID FROM A LIVING MAMMAL
The present invention provides improved devices for removing energy and fluid from body fluid containing spaces and surfaces of a mammal, the devices including isolated air and water delivery systems configured to simultaneously deliver streams of dry air and liquid water to the nostrils of a patient, without allowing the streams to come into contact with one-another until it enters the patient's nostrils.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SPINAL COOLING
A spine cooling device is configured to hold the evaporative cooling textile in contact with a wearer's skin, particularly in a location between the wearer's hips and extending toward the wearer's tailbone. The spine cooling device has a pocket to hold the evaporative cooling textile, which textile can be periodically re-wetted while the spine cooling device remains in place on the wearer. The spine cooling device facilitates direct contact between the evaporative cooling textile and the wearer's skin, and is worn beneath the wearer's clothes. However, the device includes a water resistant layer placed to prevent the evaporative cooling textile from wetting the wearer's clothes.
Applicator for cold treatment
Applicator (3) for cold treatment, comprising an applicator housing (5) with an inlet opening (18) and a leak tight tip (23). The applicator housing (5) encloses a channel body (20) extending between the inlet opening (18) and the leak tight tip (23). The applicator (3) is mounted or mountable in a releasable manner onto a pressurized dispenser (2) comprising a nozzle (7), such that the inlet opening (18) is in fluid communication with the nozzle (7). The applicator housing (5) is moveable between a rest position and a pressed position to activate the nozzle (7). The applicator housing (5) has release openings (26) which are closed in the pressed position.
