Weighted, Cooling Sleep Mask
New forms of weighted and cooling sleep masks, and methods for their manufacturing and use, are provided. In some embodiments, a weighted sleep mask includes a plurality of interior chambers, loaded with cooling pieces, in unique arrangements. Such cooling pieces include material(s) with a relatively high density and cooling capacity, including materials with relatively high specific heat, such as stone or recycled glass. The cooling pieces may be at least partially enveloped with an insulating material. The plurality of interior chambers may be positioned in an array to cover, cool and press against and cool particular regions of the face, such as pressure points, and the eyes. A plurality of channels may run between the plurality of chambers, permitting the mask to conform with and exhaust heat and vapor at or about other areas of the face.
FOOT WARMING ASSEMBLY
A foot warming assembly to receive and heat a person's feet has a housing that consists of a bottom wall and a perimeter wall. The perimeter wall is attached to the bottom wall and extends upwards to define an upper edge. A dividing wall is attached to the perimeter wall between the bottom wall and the upper edge and divides the area inside the housing into a compartment below and an upper portion above the dividing wall. A heating element is positioned within the compartment. A controller is electrically coupled to the heating element to turn the heating element on or off. A power supply is in electrical communication with the controller and the heating element to supply electrical power to the heating element. When the controller is turned on, the heating element warms the sand in the upper portion and the sand warms a person's feet.
Flexible Microwavable Heat Pack
The utility model relates to a flexible microwavable heat pack. At present, most physiotherapy products for treating cervical diseases are electronic physiotherapy products, all of which have the defects of poor curative effects and being easily influenced by such condition factors as time, site, or the like. The utility model consists of a rectangle pack and a plastic spine. The two ends of the rectangle pack are provided with pull-tabs, the interior of the rectangle pack is filled with composite materials, the plastic spine is arranged at a horizontal middle neutral axis part inside the rectangle pack, the two ends of the surface of the rectangle pack are provided with flanges, and the interior of the flange is filled with composite clay; the two sides of the surface of the rectangle pack are provided with a plurality of convex blocks, and the interior of the convex block is filled with composite clay; and the plastic spine is composed by the connection of a plurality of spine joints imitating the shape of a human spine. When in use, the rectangle pack is folded up and down, and placed in a cervical vertebra part of a human body for heat pack (or cold pack); moreover, the pull-tabs may also be pulled for massage. The flexible microwavable heat pack integrates the functions of health care, heat pack or cold pack and massage, s simple to operate, is convenient to use, has wide application scope, and is beneficial for generalizing.
Composition of microwavable phase change material
The present invention provides a microwavable Phase Change Material and product thereof, particularly, the present invention relates to the field of microwave heating and use of microwave susceptor for providing heat to Phase Change Material. The invention provides a new process for preparing improved Phase Change Material which can be heated in a domestic microwave oven. The inventive composition comprises of a microwave susceptor which helps the Phase Change Material to melt within a few minutes depending upon the quantity of Phase Change Material taken. Microwave susceptor is at first uniformly mixed with some other material. The other material may be a highly conductive material, or a slow susceptor. Then this composite is incorporated in a Phase Change Material. This susceptor composite initiates uniform melting of Phase Change Material when exposed to microwave irradiation. This microwavable Phase Change Material is free of sparking, arcing and local overheating.
Multi-layer heating mat for providing therapeutic heat to an area of the body
A heating mat that, by making use of a multilayered structure, is able to provide therapeutic benefits to a user. The heating mat has a heating layer, PEMF emitters, and a primary therapeutic layer. The primary therapeutic layer uses therapeutic materials that facilitate treatment. The heating layer functions as a flexible heating element for the heating mat. The PEMF emitters are devices which generate pulses of EM energy that are known to have therapeutic properties. The PEMF emitters is mounted adjacent to a first face of the heating layer. The primary therapeutic layer is mounted adjacent to a second face of the heating layer, opposite to the PEMF emitter.
Thermal treatment devices
A temperature management device for warming or cooling a person's body includes a device body, which has a fluid conduit for flowing fluid through the device body. The device body includes a contact surface to face and contact the person's body on which the device body is applied and is configured to conform to the person's body wherein the contact surface contacts the person's body and follows a surface topography of the person's body, and further provides a thermally conductive surface for transmitting thermal energy from the fluid flowing through the fluid conduit to the person's body.
Inflatable Therapy Band with Pockets
An inflatable therapy band with pocket comprises a circular band configured to removably be secured about a head. The band comprises four pockets for an ice pack and four inflatable air bladders. The pocket for the ice packets and air bladders alternate about the length of the band. An air pump is provided on the band which is in pneumatic communication with the air bladders.
Fingertip warming device for increasing circulation
A fingertip warming device that can be used on either hand, will aid in warming of fingertips to help increase blood flow to the fingertips of the user for the purpose of easing the process of drawing blood, which will be used to check the user's glucose levels. The device will have warming elements either embedded in the distal end of fingertip slots/compartments or allow for the use of a heatable insert that will also reside in the distal end of the device for the purpose of warming the user's fingertips. The device will provide either flaps or a hole through which the user's fingertips can be exposed to allow for collection of a blood sample for testing glucose levels.
