New forms of weighted and cooling sleep masks, and methods for their manufacturing and use, are provided. In some embodiments, a weighted sleep mask includes a plurality of interior chambers, loaded with cooling pieces, in unique arrangements. Such cooling pieces include material(s) with a relatively high density and cooling capacity, including materials with relatively high specific heat, such as stone or recycled glass. The cooling pieces may be at least partially enveloped with an insulating material. The plurality of interior chambers may be positioned in an array to cover, cool and press against and cool particular regions of the face, such as pressure points, and the eyes. A plurality of channels may run between the plurality of chambers, permitting the mask to conform with and exhaust heat and vapor at or about other areas of the face.

A reusable cooling pack for a cast that includes a body with a sidewall of a substantially rigid material, of a slender configuration, with an upper end, with a lower end having a cap selectively removably coupled to the lower end, a body length separating the upper and lower ends, defining an internal channel enclosed by the sidewall and spanning longitudinally from the lower end of the body and along the body length, and with a handle member coupled to the body and extending outwardly from the upper end, wherein the internal channel encapsulated the body and the cap and configured to receive a temperature-modulating solution therein for cooling the user when inserted inside a user's cast.

A compression garment for providing supplementary kinesiology therapy through fastened one or more kinesiological support members having properties for providing heat and pressure in addition to the compression pressure provided by one or more elastic layers of the compression garment. The compression garment may be a compression sleeve or wrap having various strategic patterns with respect to the one or more kinesiological support members for targeting particular muscles.

A thermotherapeutic pad includes a sealed envelope having a top layer of plastic and a bottom layer of textured plastic. The top layer of plastic and the bottom layer of textured plastic can be heat-sealed together. The bottom layer of textured plastic has an outer textured surface and is more thermally insulative than the top layer of plastic. A plurality of gel beads and liquid are contained inside the sealed envelope. The bottom layer of the pad can be placed against the skin or clothing to provide thermal therapy. Baffles can be provided inside the sealed envelope to promote even distribution of gel beads.

A temperature controlled therapeutic plush toy assembly is disclosed. The plush toy has a body, a thermal block contained within the body, and temperature retaining materials contained within the body. The thermal block can hold either hot or cold temperatures. The temperature of the thermal block can be modified by either placing the plush toy in the microwave or placing the plush toy in the freezer. The temperature retaining materials provide insulation to the thermal block and disperse the modified temperature of the thermal block throughout the body of the plush toy. The plush toy also has interchangeable temperature controlling garments. A heating garment is capable to heating the temperature of the body of the plush toy and a cooling garment is capable of cooling the temperature of the body of the plush toy.

A long-acting ice pack includes a mixture of a cold preservation substance and a gel therein. The gel is mixed with a plurality of heat-insulating particles. For a portion of the ice pack, the heat-insulating particles can be used to block the transmission of the interior temperature of the ice pack and the outside temperature so as to decrease the area and efficiency of temperature transmission. The ice pack not only effectively extends the time of cold preservation, meeting the demand of ice compress or cold preservation for a long time, but also provides the most comfortable temperature for ice compress, without using a towel to cover the ice pack.

Anatomically contoured assistive devices, particularly for extremities such as the hand, are form fitting to the tissue to ensure targeted delivery of therapeutic treatment to specific tissue, remain stably affixed without pinching or binding, and allow for motion and use of the tissue while delivering targeted therapeutic treatment.
