The invention relates to electrically-heatable plasters which comprise a self-adhesive skin contact layer, an electrically-conductive textile fabric in which electrically-conductive fibres are in contact with one another, as a heating element, and optionally at least one active substance, as well as to a method for production and the use of same for local heat therapy and/or transdermal application of active substances.
Multifunctional formulation comprised of natural ingredients and method of preparation/manufacturing thereof
This invention relates to a pharmaceutical preparation for the treatment of compromised tissue such as skin wounds and ulcers in humans and animals and a method of preparation. This is a multifunctional natural matrix meant for the treatment of compromised tissues which also relates to the anti-cancer transdermal patch for melanoma therapy. Further, the invention comprises for the treatment of Alzheimer's, and multiple sclerosis also. The composition consists of water-solubilized nano-sized formulation of non-aqueous solvent extract of phyto-pharmaceuticals in herbal, animal or synthetic biocompatible gel or on matrix coated or both. The composition is used as a topical device for the treatment of compromised tissues in its preferred embodiment.
MEDICATED PATCHING SYSTEM
A medicated patching system for positioning a plurality of medicated patches around an orthopaedic device extending through a patient's skin is provided. Each of the plurality of medicated patches includes an outer end and an opposite inner end. Each of the plurality of medicated patches also includes an upper layer and a bottom layer extending between the outer end and the inner end. A medication is positioned between the upper layer and the bottom layer. A recess extends from the inner end toward the outer end.
Taping kit and method for attaching tape to be affixed to body
A taping kit is capable of controlling a depth of a stimulation according to the purpose to structural parts from the epidermis to the dermis and fascia. The taping kit includes two or more tapes to be affixed to the body containing at least a stretchable substrate and an adhesive layer on one surface of the substrate. The taping kit includes a first tape which has a plurality of slits in a longitudinal direction, and a second tape which has a plurality of slits in a longitudinal direction and is overlapped and attached on at least a part of the first tape.
Method for producing an, in particular oral, active substance laminate, and active substance laminate, in particular oral active substance laminate
The invention relates to a method for producing an active substance laminate, especially an oral active substance laminate (100), having at least one active-substance-containing layer (31), which is arranged on a substrate (20), wherein the method comprises the following steps: a) providing a substrate (20) having an upper side (21) and an underside (22); b) applying an active-substance-containing mass (24) in a gap (25) formed by a first rotating roller (26) and a second rotating roller (27); c) transporting the substrate (20) to the second roller (27) by means of a third rotating roller (28) in such a way that the active-substance-containing mass (24) is applied to the upper side (21) of the substrate (20) by the second roller (27) in the form of an active-substance-containing layer (31); d) transporting an intermediate laminate (30), formed by the substrate (20) and the active-substance-containing layer (31), to a drying device (40); and e) drying the intermediate laminate (30), especially the active-substance-containing layer (31).
Transdermal Drug Delivery System for Delivering a Drug to a Patient
A system that transdermally delivers a drug to a patent can be used to reduce suffering from acute/chronical musculoskeletal pain. The system includes a backing layer, an adhesive layer, a topical applicator, a suitable quantity of drug, and a quantity of topical carrier. The topical applicator is connected across and against the backing layer by the adhesive layer. The suitable quantity of drug and the quantity of topical carrier are homogenously mixed together as a topical medication, which is retained and dispensed from the topical applicator. The topical applicator includes a flat applicator body, a plurality of blunted spikes, and a containment rim. The flat applicator body is the structural base of the topical applicator. The containment rim is used to perimetrically confine the topical medication. The blunted spikes are used to increase the surface area of the topical applicator in order to improve its retention of the topical medication.
Bib shaped bandage
A bandage intended for use on digits; i.e. fingers and toes, to cover injuries to the knuckle or pad area of the first joint on the hand or foot. The bandage is configured as a pad with an angled loop, the loop used as an anchor around the base of a digit in order to resist motions that might peel the bandage off the skin. The pad may contain medicines suitable for treating a wound or injury, may be radio opaque, may contain a reinforced surface to prevent compression or skin friction at the site, or other ancillary devices. The loop is deformable in length in order to fit different digits and wound locations.
Wound dressing, ingredient delivery device and IV hold-down, and method relating to same
An adhesive device used as a wound dressing, ingredient delivery device or IV hold-down in which inadvertent edge release of these devices along the periphery of the polymeric film layer is minimized when the handling layer, which is adhered to the polymeric film layer, is removed after application of the polymeric film layer to the patient.
