Protective release sheet for microneedle patch
Provided is a microneedle patch which is easily to be applied on a skin surface. One or more holes are provided inside a protective sheet of the microneedle patch, and one or more cutting lines running from an outer edge of the protective sheet toward the holes are also provided. The cutting lines may be symmetrically arranged on both sides of the hole. Providing an incision on the outer edge of the cutting lines of the protective release sheet facilitates cutting along the cutting lines. In the use of the microneedle patch, both sides of the cutting line of the protective release sheet are held and torn so as to bring out a microneedle array adhesive sheet and apply it on a skin. Then the microneedle array surface is slightly compressed, thereby the microneedle is inserted into the stratum corneum.
Systems and methods for using negative pressure wound therapy to manage open abdominal wounds
Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to the treatment of wounds using negative pressure. Some embodiments disclosed herein provide for a foam pad, which may be suitable for use in abdominal wound sites, and which may be sized in a dimensionally-independent manner. Additional embodiments provide for a wound contact layer, as well as a system for the treatment of abdominal wounds.
COMPOSITE DRESSINGS WITH EVEN EXPANSION PROFILES FOR TREATMENT OF WOUNDS USING NEGATIVE-PRESSURE TREATMENT
Dressings for tissue treatment, which may comprise a first layer and a second layer. The first layer may comprise or consist essentially of a first plurality of perforations formed through the first layer and arranged in a first pattern of rows. Each of the first plurality of perforations may be parallel to a first direction. The first layer may comprise or consist essentially of a second plurality of perforations formed through the second layer and arranged in a second pattern of rows. Each of the second plurality of perforations may be parallel to a second direction. The first plurality of perforations and the second plurality of perforations may be configured to open in response to a pressure gradient across the first layer. A second layer may comprise or consist essentially of a manifold, and coupled to the first layer.
Multifunctional release liner for dressings
A dressing is described having a backing layer, an (absorbent) pad, an adhesive coating and a release liner. The release liner is releasably attached to the adhesive coating. The release liner is configured to stiffen up and protect protrusions and/or border portions of the dressing that may otherwise be wrinkled, folded, kinked or otherwise damaged or impaired prior to (transportation or storage) or during application at the point-of-use. The dressing can be used for wound treatment. The dressing can prevent shearing and/or friction from causing (deep tissue) skin damage.
POROUS WOUND DRESSING FOR USE IN NEGATIVE-PRESSURE THERAPY
A porous wound dressing for use in negative-pressure therapy is proposed. The wound dressing has an outer edge which defines a substantially oval or rectangular outer shape of the wound dressing with a major axis and a minor axis. The wound dressing has one or more incisions or perforations which together form one or more arc-shaped lines and serve for cutting the wound dressing to size in order to adapt the wound dressing to the shape and/or size of a wound. The one or more arc-shaped lines each extend asymmetrically with respect to the major axis and/or to the minor axis and each enclose, together with a portion of the outer edge, a segment of the wound dressing that is designed for separation from the wound dressing.
Protective release sheet for microneedle patch

Then the microneedle array surface is slightly compressed, thereby the microneedle is inserted into the stratum corneum.
Improved patches and methods for delivering an active substance to the skin using the same
The invention relates to a patch for administering an active substance to the skin of a subject. The present patches simplify manufacture and improve reproducibility of results, facilitate, and enhance the consistency of application of the patches to a subject, and demonstrate improved initial and long-term adhesion with reduced risk of premature detachment.
