A medical dressing is provided. The dressing has a central portion and a border portion, and comprises a backing layer, an adhesive body contact layer and a pad arranged in the central portion between the backing layer and the adhesive body contact layer. The pad is symmetric about a longitudinal center line and the dressing comprises a lobed portion on each side of the center line. The medical dressing comprises a gripping tab which is coplanar with the border portion and which projects outwardly from the border portion. The medical dressing may be used for pressure ulcer prevention, such as at the sacrum region of a human body.

The present disclosure relates to a dressing (100) comprising a backing layer (101), an adhesive skin contact layer (102) and a first release liner (103), wherein the adhesive skin contact layer (102) comprises a central portion (102a) and an edge portion (102b) surrounding the central portion (102a). The first release liner (103) is configured to be releasably attached to at least the central portion (102a) of the adhesive skin contact layer (102). The dressing (100) comprises a second release liner (104) arranged between the first release liner (103) and at least part of the edge portion (102b) of the adhesive skin contact layer (102).

A medical dressing arrangement and to a computer implemented inspection method applied in conjunction with the medical dressing is also described.

A medical dressing having a geometrical plane of symmetry. A border portion extends along the contour of the pad. A central portion of the dressing has a smaller width perpendicular to the plane of symmetry than the widths of the adjoining portions. The medical dressing comprises a gripping tab which is coplanar with the border portion and which projects outwardly from the border portion. A wound closure device and a method of its use are disclosed. The wound closure device includes a wound closure strip, the wound closure strip including a wound-facing side and a top side, the wound-facing side comprises an adhesive applied over at least a portion of the wound facing side of the wound closure strip and a non-symmetric, two-part release liner assembly detachably adhered to the adhesive, the release liner assembly including a first section and a second section with the second section including a wound closure strip-free portion forming a tab. In an alternate embodiment, the device is multi-segmented and the wound closure strip may be coextensive with the release liner assembly.

Medical articles comprising a conformable wound dressing and delivery system. The wound dressing generally comprises a backing having a first major surface and a second major surface, an adhesive on the second major surface of the backing, and an absorbent pad proximate the second major surface of the backing. The backing extends beyond the perimeter of the absorbent pad, typically beyond the entire perimeter of the pad. The perimeter of the wound dressing has a concave feature that exhibits a local minimum. An axis extends from the local minimum to the perimeter of the wound dressing opposite the local minimum. The carrier overlies at least a portion of the backing on each side of the axis but does not overlie the backing along the axis. The wound dressing is especially designed for use on round or irregular shaped body parts, such as an elbow or heel.

The present invention relates to a medical dressing and a manufacturing method, and to a medical dressing and a manufacturing method therefor, the medical dressing comprising: a lower support film; a release film; and an adhesive sheet part (110) for application, which is placed on the release film (200) and is attached to the skin, wherein the release film (200) consists of a release film part (210) for fixing and a separable release film part (220) to be separated therefrom by a cutting line (211) formed on the release film part (210) for fixing, so that a predetermined region of the separable release film part is positioned to overlap with the bottom surface of the adhesive sheet part (110), thereby allowing, during separation of the separable release film part (220) from the release film part (210) for fixing, separation together with the adhesive sheet part (110) for application, and the area of the separable release film part (220), which overlaps with the bottom surface of the adhesive sheet part (110), is relatively smaller than the area of the separable release film part, which does not overlap with the adhesive sheet part (110).

A nasal cast bender may comprise a base; and a protrusion protruding upwards from the base portion, wherein the protrusion comprises a handle and a bending surface comprising a convex profile; wherein the bending surface is configured to shape an external nasal cast.

In an alternate embodiment, the device is multi-segmented and the wound closure strip may be coextensive with the release liner assembly.
