POST-OPERATIVE FOAM AND SUPER-ABSORBENT DRESSING
20220008254 · 2022-01-13 ·

A dressing includes a hydrophilic foam layer having a longitudinal central axis configured to overlay the incision, a drape coupled to an outwardly-facing side of the hydrophilic foam layer, a first row of superabsorbent material positioned on the outwardly-facing side of the hydrophilic foam layer, and a second row of superabsorbent material positioned on the outwardly-facing side of the hydrophilic foam layer. The first row and the second row are spaced laterally apart from, and on opposite sides of, the longitudinal central axis. The drape includes a first window aligned with the first row and a second window aligned with the second row. The first window and the second window include a film, different from the drape, configured to facilitate evaporation therethrough.

HYDROGEL SURGICAL DRESSING PRODUCT HAVING A MULTI-DIMENSIONAL FLEXIBLE HYDROPHILIC STRUCTURE-LINKAGE COMPOSITE
20200046876 · 2020-02-13 ·

This invention provides a hydrogel surgical dressing product having a designed multi-dimensional flexible hydrophilic structure-linkage composite, comprising: a hydrogel cushion layer, and a multiple of hydrophilic microsphere, wherein said multi-dimensional flexible hydrophilic structure-linkage composite comprising a hydrophilic multi-dimensional flexible structure-linkage membrane, and a multiple of structure-linkage holes positioned into said hydrophilic multi-dimensional flexible structure-linkage membrane, and the sizes of structure-linkage holes changed with the degree of compelling force, resulting in a multi-dimensional flexible structure-linkage relationship and a consolidating structure.

WATERPROOF AND TRANSPARENT WOUND BARRIER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME

A wound barrier provides an adhesive sealed barrier surrounding a wound site that is oxygen permeable but which is substantially moisture vapor impermeable. The barrier includes a compound material that is a thin and compliant oxygen permeable backing material with pressure sensitive adhesive deposited on one surface. An adhesive deadening layer is island deposited onto the adhesive to form a non-adhesive zone and an adhesive zone at the periphery of the wound barrier. A liner layer is then placed over the adhesive side of the wound barrier to cover the adhesive until the barrier is to be applied to cover and seal off a wound site. The compound material can include a casting sheet to provide support while the barrier is applied and then removed to improve the compliant nature of the barrier.

The present invention relates to a multilayered wound dressing particularly for wound treatment in the granulation and epithelization phase. The wound dressing comprises a) a first layer as a wound contact layer having a first side and a second side, and b) at least one second layer as an absorbent layer having a first side and a second side and comprising a hydrophilic polyurethane foam, wherein the polyurethane foam comprises a water fraction of at least 10% by weight of water.

TRANSPARENT BREATHABLE POLYURETHANE FILM FOR TATTOO AFTERCARE
20180042776 · 2018-02-15 ·

A tattoo aftercare assembly comprises an air-permeable transparent film such that the tattoo is visible through the film when applied thereto. The assembly further includes a carrier layer configured to be removable from the film. An adhesive is applied between the film and the carrier layer. A backing cover is positioned on an opposite side of the film than the carrier layer. The film and carrier layers are slightly narrower and shorter than the backing cover such that the backing cover is easily removable from the film. The film is configured for application over a newly-created tattoo for at least 12 hours, preferably up to 3 days.
