ELASTIC NAPPY ELEMENT
An elastic nappy element that includes an elastic layer (1) and outer layers (2, 3) made of a non-woven fabric. The nappy element has connecting regions (4, 8) for connecting the outer layers (2, 3) to the elastic layer (1). These connecting regions (4, 8) include zones (7, 9) in which a form-fitting bond of non-woven material and solidified material of the elastic layer (1) is formed.
COMPOSITE HAVING IMPROVED IN-PLANE PERMEABILITY AND ABSORBENT ARTICLE HAVING IMPROVED FLUID MANAGEMENT
The present disclosure features a composite fabric, including a nonwoven layer including polymeric fibers and/or filaments; a crosslinked cellulose layer including crosslinked cellulose fibers; wherein the crosslinked cellulose layer is positioned opposed to the nonwoven layer (e.g., without an intervening layer different from the crosslinked cellulose layer and the nonwoven layer; in some embodiments, the crosslinked cellulose layer is immediately adjacent to the nonwoven layer); and an interfacial region between the nonwoven layer and the crosslinked cellulose layer, the interfacial region including physically entangled polymeric fibers and/or filaments from the nonwoven layer and crosslinked cellulose fibers from the crosslinked cellulose layer. The nonwoven layer and the crosslinked cellulose layer of the composite fabric are mechanically inseparable in a dry state.
WATER-DISPERSIBLE FLUID ABSORBER
A water-dispersible fluid absorber such as a sanitary pad includes a water-dispersible top layer; a water-dispersible absorbent layer; a leakproof layer of a polyvinyl alcohol; and a water-dispersible bottom layer. The leakproof layer is bonded to the top layer and the bottom layer by ultrasonic welding. A method of manufacturing a water-dispersible fluid absorber such as a sanitary pad includes assembling a water-dispersible top layer, a water-dispersible absorbent layer, a leakproof layer of a polyvinyl alcohol and a water-dispersible bottom layer; and bonding the leakproof layer to the top layer and the bottom layer by ultrasonic welding. A further water-dispersible fluid absorber includes a cellulose-based super absorbent material, an alginate-based super absorbent material, a chitosan-based super absorbent material, and/or a polyethylene glycol-based super absorbent material. A further water-dispersible fluid absorber comprises a thick portion formed to create a raised area under the perineum. A further water-dispersible fluid absorber includes a pressure sensitive adhesive arranged in a plurality of portions.
INTIMATE SKIN CONDITIONER VEIL COMPRISING A NONWOVEN MATERIAL
An intimate skin conditioner veil, configured to be positioned in an undergarment so that it covers the mons pubis in front of the anterior labia commissure of a female user, without covering any part of the vulval vestibule area of the user. The main portion may be reflection symmetric about a longitudinal central line, and the veil may include a garment facing layer arranged on a garment facing side of the veil, and a space creating layer arranged on a skin contacting side of the veil. The space creating layer comprises a nonwoven material arranged at least one the skin contacting side of the veil. The nonwoven material includes non-absorbent fibres. The fibres and/or the nonwoven material is/are coated with a lubricating coating composition configured for use in hygiene products at least on the skin contacting side of the veil to be in contact with skin of the user.
Medical nonwoven fabric, and preparation method thereof
The present invention relates to a medical nonwoven fabric comprising gelable cellulose derivative short-cut fibers as prepared by the paper making process, a preparation method thereof, and an adhesion prevention barrier using the same. The present invention provides a single phase of medical nonwoven fabric comprising gelable cellulose derivative short-cut fibers, to induce capillary action of micropores formed between the fibers and thereby control the gelation time, and provides a composite nonwoven fabric formed by laminating a nonwoven fabric layer comprising a different kind of biodegradable polymer material not susceptible to gelation on the single-phase of medical nonwoven fabric comprising gelable cellulose derivative short-cut fibers, thereby improving dimensional stability and convenience of surgical procedure. The present invention further provides a dyed medical nonwoven fabric to improve visibility, allowing easiness of recognizing the placement or location of the medical nonwoven fabric.
