A liquid absorbent structure further has an end flap positioned between a front-end edge of the liquid absorbent structure and a front-end edge of an absorbent core. A front waist region has a stretchable sheet extending inward in a vertical direction Y from a waist opening edge and overlapping with the end flap, a plurality of waist elastic members extending in a lateral direction X and overlapping with at least the end flap, a first region positioned between the waist opening edge and the front-end edge of the liquid absorbent structure, and a second region including the stretchable sheet and the waist elastic members, at an inner side in the vertical direction Y of the front-end edge of the liquid absorbent structure.

Disposable articles, and, more particularly, a disposable undergarment including a product chassis configured to serve as a basis of a variety of disposable articles, including disposable underwear without an absorbent core, disposable underwear with an absorbent core designed for menstrual use, and disposable underwear or training pant with an absorbent core designed for incontinence use (adult and child). The product chassis is comprised of multiple sections including an elastomeric composite, containing stretch film, coupled to one another, each section is designed to provide stretch in a desired direction, thereby resulting in improved securement of the undergarment to a wearer for optimizing fit and comfort for the wearer, while reducing the risk of leakage as well as reducing the amount overall material required for producing the undergarment. Furthermore, the inclusion of an elastomeric composite can provide a smooth contoured fit to a wearer, thereby improving appearance and self-confidence for the wearer.

The welded portions are disposed on both sides of the elastic member in an intersecting direction intersecting with the continuous direction. Welded portion pairs are disposed in which the elastic member is sandwiched and restrict a position of the elastic member in the intersecting direction with respect to the first sheet and the second sheet. The elastic member has a damaged portion where a part of a surface of the elastic member is damaged. The welded portion pairs include a first welded portion pair and a second welded portion pair.

A disposable absorbent pant having an enhanced belted or balloon-type structure is disclosed. The belt structure may be formed of stretch laminate material, including laterally pre-strained elastomeric material sandwiched between inner and outer layers of nonwoven web material. The belt structure may include one or more unelasticized zones, in which the elastomeric material is omitted, removed or deactivated. As a result, lateral gathers or ruffles of the inner and outer layers, otherwise resulting from elastic contraction of the pre-strained elastomeric material, are substantially reduced in size and/or frequency, or eliminated, within the unelasticized zones. The laminate in the unelasticized zone(s) will thus have relatively lower z-direction thickness and will lie more closely against the wearer's skin. When unelasticized zone(s) are located proximate the sides/hip areas of the product, for example, this effect may provide the product with a more tailored profile and enhance its discreetness when worn beneath outer clothing.
