The present disclosure is directed, in part, to an absorbent article comprising a liquid management system (LMS) and an absorbent core disposed at least partially intermediate a topsheet and a backsheet. The LMS defines one or more channels therein. The one or more channels of the LMS may at least partially overlap or not overlap with channels defined in the absorbent core.
DRESSING WITH SPACER FABRIC TO PROMOTE MEDIAL TENSION
A dressing may include a manifold and a spacer fabric. The manifold may have a first side configured to face the tissue site, a second side opposite the first side, a thickness between the first side and the second side, a first portion, and a second portion. The spacer fabric may extend between the first portion and the second portion and may comprise a first layer coupled to the first portion, a second layer coupled to the second portion, and a spacer layer extending between the first layer and the second layer. The first layer and the second layer may be perpendicular to the first side of the manifold. The dressing may be configured to contract more in a first direction than in a second direction, wherein the first direction is perpendicular to an extension direction of the spacer fabric. Other dressings, apparatus, systems, and methods are disclosed.

ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH MICROENCAPSULATED PHASE CHANGE MATERIAL
An absorbent article is provided with microencapsulated phase change material (microPCM) particles that are embedded in and/or coated onto a layer of the absorbent article that includes a resilient sheet of an open-cell foam. The foam layer is disposed such that it is in contact with or is in proximity to the user. The microPCM particles absorb heat generated during use of the absorbent article to reduce the contact temperature on the inside of the absorbent article and improve the comfort of the user. To maximize comfort, the phase change temperature of the microPCM particles may be an average normal body temperature.

DRESSING WITH VARIABLE CONTRACTION ZONES
A manifold for treating a tissue site may include a first side and a second side opposite the first side. The second side of the manifold may be configured to face the tissue site, and to contract a greater amount than the first side of the manifold when exposed to a compressive force. In some illustrative examples, the manifold may be configured to distribute reduced pressure to the tissue site, and to contract when exposed to the reduced pressure. The manifold may be suitable for use with dressing assemblies, treatment systems, and methods for treating a tissue site.
Extensible dressings
The present invention relates to dressings such as bandages improved extensibility. The present invention further relates to dressings comprising an absorbent body and backing layer having improved extensibility.
Absorbent articles with different types of channels
An absorbent article has a front side, a back side, a longitudinal axis and includes a liquid permeable topsheet on the wearer-facing side, a liquid impermeable backsheet on the garment-facing side, and an absorbent core between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent core includes a core wrap having a top side and a bottom side, an absorbent material having a deposition area between the top side and the bottom side of the core wrap, and at least two channels substantially free of absorbent material within the deposition area. In a first type of channels, the top side and the bottom side of the core wrap are bonded to each other. In a second type of channels, the top side and the bottom side of the core wrap are not bonded or are less bonded to each other than in the first type of channels.

An absorbent article has a front side, a back side, a longitudinal axis, a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet and an absorbent core between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent core includes a first type of channels, wherein the top side and the bottom side of the core wrap are bonded to another, and a second type of channels, wherein the top side and the bottom side of the core wrap are not bonded or are less bonded to one another in this second type of channels than in the first type of channels. The absorbent material may also include cellulose and superabsorbent particles.
