NONWOVEN FABRIC AND PROCESS FOR FORMING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a nonwoven fabric comprising a plurality of polypropylene-containing fibers that form a nonwoven web, which fibers in addition contain a slip agent, the web has a side which is provided with an alternating pattern which consists of individualized bonded areas which bonded areas are in the form of rods which are arranged in the cross direction of the web, the alternating pattern of individualized bonded areas defines a non-bonded area, the web has a basis weight on the range of from 5-25 g/m.sup.2, the surface of the bonded areas is in the range of 5-20% of the total surface of the side, and the surface of the non-bonded area is in the range of 80-95% of the total surface of the side. The present invention further relates to a process for forming the nonwoven fabric.
Method for manufacturing composite sheet
A method for manufacturing a composite sheet includes a first step of, in a state that a curved part of a first sheet whose one surface rises and whose another surface is recessed and that a second sheet is overlaid on the first sheet, revolving a first roller to convey the first sheet and the second sheet; a second step of passing the sheets between the first roller and a second roller revolving so that a pressing part protruding outward in the radial direction from the outer peripheral surface of the second roller is inserted into the recess of the first roller; forming, in a region within the second sheet opposing the curved part, a protruding part which is surrounded by a flat part; and a third step of joining a boundary part of the first sheet to the second sheet.
Composite sheet
Provided are a composite sheet whose recess-protrusion shape can easily be made crush-resistant in a state that the soft feel against the skin is maintained, and a device and method for manufacturing said composite sheet. A first sheet has a curved part in which one surface thereof rises and the other surface thereof is recessed, and a boundary part adjacent to the curved part. A second sheet is joined to the boundary part of the first sheet so as to cover the other surface of the curved part. A region of the second sheet facing the curved part has a protruding part in which an inside surface on the first sheet side rises so as to approach the curved part and an outside surface on the reverse side thereof is recessed, and a flat part surrounding the periphery of the protruding part.
ABSORBENT ARTICLES HAVING APERTURED, THREE-DIMENSIONAL MATERIALS AND METHODS FOR MAKING SAME
A forming apparatus for forming a plurality of apertures in a nonwoven substrate is provided. The apparatus includes intermeshing members having a first and second member. The first member includes a body portion and a plurality of conical-shaped pins. The plurality of conical-shaped pins each have a first section having a first wall extending from a base portion to a distal portion, at least a portion of the first wall disposed at a first angle greater than 17.5 degrees relative to a central axis. The plurality of conical-shaped pins each have a second section having a second wall extending from a base portion, the base portion extending from the first member body portion, at least a portion of the second wall disposed at a second angle relative to the central axis of each conical-shaped pin, the second angle being different than the first angle and less than 20 degrees.
Sanitary napkin for clean body benefit
A sanitary napkin has a facing layer joined to a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the facing layer and backsheet. The facing layer has a first region comprising a plurality of apertures, and a second region comprising a plurality of out-of-plane deformations. The absorbent article provides a visual perception of comfort. In one embodiment, the sanitary napkin also comprises a deep-embossed channel.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An absorbent article having a topsheet, a backsheet arranged on the garment-facing side, an absorbent core enclosed between the topsheet and the backsheet and a pair of standing gathers. The topsheet and the standing gathers comprise sheet materials with specified stiffness, softness and smoothness properties. The absorbent article may be a diaper or incontinence guard.
Diaper structure with enhanced tactile softness attributes
A diaper structure with enhanced softness attributes is disclosed. The diaper structure may include an innermost layer formed of a first nonwoven web, and an outermost layer formed of a second nonwoven web. The first and second nonwoven webs may have a combined basis weight of at least about 30 gsm. The ratio of the first web basis weight to the second web basis weight may range from 30/70 to 70/30.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An absorbent article according to the present invention having a liquid-permeable top sheet, a liquid-impermeable back sheet, and an absorber disposed between the top sheet and the back sheet includes a first recessed portion configured in a top surface of the absorber facing the top sheet and extending along a first direction and a second recessed portion configured in the top surface of the absorber facing the top sheet so as to intersect the first recessed portion, the second recessed portion extending along a second direction different from the first direction. The first recessed portion and the second recessed portion each have a first area having a shallow depth from the top surface of the absorber to a bottom surface of the first area and a second area having a deeper depth than the first area.
CONTOURED FILM WITH MICRO-PROTRUSIONS
A polymeric film is provided, the film comprising one or more land portions that are substantially coplanar in a base plane and a plurality of distended portions separated from one another by the one or more land portions. The distended portions bow distally outward from the base plane. The polymeric film further comprises a plurality of annular micro-protrusions extending outward from the distal film surface, each protrusion having an apex. A portion of the plurality of annular micro-protrusions extends from each of the one or more land portions of the polymeric film and from each of the distended portions of the polymeric film.

Problem
To suppress skin touch feeling from being deteriorated and further provide excellent wearing feeling, while ensuring sufficient adhesive strength in an adhesion part of a side sheet.
Solution
In the present invention, a pair of left and right side sheets 7 are provided over the entire length of both side parts on a skin-contact surface. A sanitary napkin 1 includes overlapped regions T where a front-surface sheet 3 and the side sheets 7 are overlapped with each other, on the both side parts of the sanitary napkin 1 along the longitudinal direction. In each of the overlapped regions T, a side-sheet embossed part 10 is formed on the side sheet 7, and an inter-sheet embossed part 9 is formed to make the side sheet 7 and the front-surface sheet 3 adhere to each other. The total area of the side sheet embossed part 10 is formed smaller than the total area of the inter-sheet embossed part 9.
