FOREARM SUPPORT PILLOW FOR USE WITH SHOULDER SLING
A forearm support which includes at least a first cutout on an end of the support that can adequately maintain a beverage container in an upright position such that liquid present in the beverage container does not spill or empty out of the container through a top opening during use of the forearm support by a wearer.
Upper extremity braces
A brace for restricting the movement of a shoulder joint, the brace including a trunk module attachable to a human body, wherein the trunk module includes a strap for attaching the brace to the body; and at least one first part of a locking mechanism; a forearm module pivotable relative to the trunk module, the forearm module further including a second part of a locking mechanism capable of engaging and disengaging with said first part of the locking mechanism; and a posterior upper arm support attached to the trunk module in a fixed position; wherein in a first orientation the at least one first part of the locking mechanism is engaged with the second part of the locking mechanism; and wherein in a second orientation the at least one first part of the locking mechanism is disengaged from the second part of the locking mechanism.
NON-FIXED SHOULDER BRACE
A non-fixed shoulder brace is provided comprising: an affected shoulder support which is supported on an affected shoulder of a wearer; a waist support coupled to the wearer's waist; an affected arm mounting part in which the wearer's affected arm is inserted and which is supported by means of an affected shoulder strap member from the affected shoulder support; and an affected upper limb exercise assistance apparatus coupled to both ends of the waist support and disposed between the wearer's waist and the affected arm mounting part.
SHOULDER BRACE AND METHOD
A shoulder brace includes a base layer having a first side and a second side, a side support coupled to the first side, and a sling attached to the side support and having a sling strap. A counterforce strap has a first end coupled to the second side of the base layer, and a second end attached to a portion of the sling strap. So configured, the counterforce strap applies a force to the sling strap in a direction toward the second side of the base layer to relieve pressure on a user's neck during use. In addition, a cold therapy device assembly is coupled to the shoulder brace and includes a cold therapy device having first and second portions and at least one connecting member attached to one of the first and second portions and configured to be attached to a portion of the shoulder brace.
MULTIPOINT ANGLED FIXATION IMPLANTS FOR MULTIPLE SCREWS AND RELATED METHODS
Bone anchor assemblies and related methods are disclosed herein that can provide for improved fixation of a primary bone anchor. A bone anchor assembly can include a wing with a distal portion that can define a plurality of auxiliary bone anchor openings. Each auxiliary bone anchor opening can receive an auxiliary bone anchor that can augment fixation of a primary bone anchor of the bone anchor assembly. The plurality of auxiliary bone anchor openings can be oriented such that, when the wing is coupled to a primary bone anchor assembly of a vertebral level in a first configuration, at least one auxiliary bone anchor can be driven to extend across a facet plane of the vertebral level and, when coupled in a second configuration, each auxiliary bone anchor received within the wing can be driven to conform to the vertebral level.
Surgical restraint with arm positioning sling
A surgical restraint is disclosed including a body strap, a sling, and a connecting strap. The body strap is arranged and disposed to wrap over patient's torso and around a support disposed below the patient, restraining the patient against the support. The sling is arranged and disposed to cradle an upper arm, an elbow and a forearm of a patient's arm. The connecting strap includes a first attachment site associated with a brace and a second attachment site associated with the sling. The connecting strap is arranged and disposed to cross over the patient's shoulder between the first attachment site and the second attachment site. The surgical restraint is arranged and disposed to restrain the patient's arm against the patient's torso and removed from a surgical site.
Systems and Methods Related to Compliance Monitoring
Systems and methods for recording data representative of, and reviewing and analyzing such data for, compliance by patients with prescribed use regimens of rehabilitation devices, such as a sling, are disclosed. Such devices comprise one or more sensors, a power source, and a communication system. The sensors track data indicative of the actual wear or use time of the rehabilitation device, which may be used to monitor compliance with physician recommended wear times. Adjustments may then be made to the prescribed use regimen, or physical adjustments may be made directly to the rehabilitation device.
Cooling garments, warming garments, and related methods
The present disclosure generally relates to intelligent garments that provide thermal regulation in a variety of environments. The garments may include different layers such as a hydrophobic layer in direct contact with a wearer's skin surface and saturated with an aqueous mixture, a spacer layer, a reflective layer, and an outer hydrophobic layer. The layers of the garment may work together to reduce the metabolic expenditure of the wearer in extreme environmental conditions or during demanding physical activity. A variety of sensors may be displaced throughout the garments so as to enable the collection of data associated with wearers as well as environmental conditions. Wearers may control the thermal balance and other properties of the garments as desired.
Rescue strap for carrying a patient
A rescue strap is provided with a plurality of strap loops that wraps around the torso of a patient and is fed through one of the strap loops to make a girth hitch around the patient's torso. The rescue strap then wraps around the patient's upper legs and through another strap loop making another girth hitch to lift from the hips.
COMFORT HARNESS FOR ORTHOTIC BRACE
A comfort harness for an orthotic brace being fully adjustable and having a crescent-shaped pad located about the front shoulder of a user for dispersing a load and for added comfort for the user. Multiple straps are provided for upper back, under arm, and cross-body support for the user. The comfort harness configured to connect with a variety of orthotics for an arm, a shoulder, and the like. In some cases, the comfort harness is capable of being donned and adjusted by the user when in a supine position.
