DECORATIVE RESPIRATOR AND COMMUNICATION MASK
A face mask is provided. A face mask comprising a decorative skin, having a strap attached to an outer perimeter of the decorative skin, a respirator attached to a connection piece and utilizes a filter, the connection piece being attached to the decorative skin, a speaker and a microphone mounted to an interior of the face mask, an electronic transceiver module attached to the face mask and a power source attached to the face mask. The strap secures the face mask to a head of the user, the filter is connected to the respirator such that an air-tight seal is formed. The power source powers the speaker, the microphone, and the electronic transceiver module. The electronic transceiver module comprises a processor coupled to a computer memory and non-transitory computer readable media, the processor configured to transmit and receive signals from the electronic transceiver module and the speaker or microphone.
SLEEP-AIDING EYEWEAR WITH IMPROVED VISIBILITY
Sleep-aiding eyewear that prevents light which inhibits melatonin production from reaching the eye is described. The eyewear that is the object of the present disclosure has improved visibility over other methods of cutting off melatonin-inhibiting wavelengths of light, which enables the user to perform tasks, such as reading and typing, uninhibited. This is achieved in some embodiments using a Bragg grating comprising multiple layers of alternating reflective index material as a surface coating on the lens. This may be combined with lens-tinting, or antireflective coatings, in the eyewear. Furthermore, transition lenses which block melatonin-shifting light when there is a suitable external stimulus, such as blue light from a light emitting diode, are described. The presently described filters are also useful for electronic displays and functional light-transmitting materials.
Apparatus for protecting eyes from radiation
The invention relates to an apparatus for protecting eyes from radiation, in particular for protecting the lenses of the eyes of medical personnel from x-ray radiation or other ionizing radiation during medical examinations. The apparatus is easy to handle and ensures shielding of the eyes from x-ray radiation, but nonetheless offers the best working and viewing conditions for the wearer. This is achieved by a housing made of a shell-type frame, which encloses the eye area and laterally the temples of the wearer, and a support device for placement on the head and with a nose rest for positioning on the bridge of the nose. The frame includes a frontal opening, in which a shield opaque to x-ray radiation is fitted, and at least one video playback device is arranged on the rear side of the shield, facing toward the eyes, inside the frame, and being coupled to an optical recording device or a camera, which is arranged on the side of the shield that faces away from the wearer.
TINTING SYSTEM FOR GOGGLES
A tinting system for goggles for use when riding a dirt bike incorporating a combination of clear transparent layers of material and tinted layers of material upon the front surface of the goggles that are adapted to be torn off one at a time in a fast and efficient way to rid the goggles of dirt and grime and to adjust the amount of tint the goggles provide for any given lighting condition.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF A DEFINED CONDITION, AND METHODS FOR OPERATING SUCH SYSTEMS
Disclosed herein, inter alia, are a method, system and a kit for improving a defined condition in a subject, the method comprising selecting a set of one or more correction zones, being surface zones on the surface of the subject's skin or defined angular zones in the subject's field of view, the one or more correction zones being associated with the condition; and placing the one or more correcting elements in said one or more correction zones to thereby cause improvement in said condition. Also provided herein are methods and systems for providing such correction zones related to a defined condition in a subject or to a defined cause in a subject being associated with a defined condition.
Goggle lens suitable for golfers to wear all-weather and method of manufacturing the same
A goggle lens suitable for golfers to wear all-weather and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. The goggle lens comprises: a substrate, by weight, comprising: 1000 parts of resin, 0.038998 parts of yellow pigment, 0.041715 parts of green pigment, 0.014272 parts of blue pigment, 0.024569 parts of purple pigment, 0.0021 parts of orange pigment, and 0.010859 parts each of 580 nm light absorber and 490 nm light absorber; a high-reflection layer arranged on one surface of the substrate that is adapted to be away from eyes of the golfer; an anti-reflection layer arranged on another surface of the substrate that is adapted to be adjacent to the eyes of the golfer; two hardened layers arranged between the high-reflection layer and the substrate, and between the anti-reflection layer and the substrate; and one photocatalytic antibacterial layer; wherein a light transmittance of the goggle lens is between 27% and 29%.
Laser protection eyewear lenses
A laser protection eyewear lens includes a lens substrate comprising an embedded wavelength filter having a first filter function, and a multi-layer dielectric filter applied to at least one of an inside and an outside surface of the lens substrate that comprises a second filter function having at least one center wavelength and bandwidth. The first filter function of the embedded wavelength filter and the second filter function of the multilayer dielectric filter produce a combined filter function that attenuates light reflecting off the multi-layer dielectric filter.
VISION-PROTECTING FILTER LENS
A vision-protecting filter lens, including a multilayer optical film and a neutral-density optical filter.
Vision strengthening methods and systems
Active dichoptic perceptual-learning tasks or dichoptic game play have been shown to significantly improve visual acuity of amblyopic children and adults. However, these dichoptic perceptual learning tasks are intensive and repetitive such that non-compliance is high. In contrast, the invention provides dichoptic perceptual learning in a manner that the user maintains its use and compliance is increased. Further, compliance becomes automatic if the user performs tasks in a normal manner and “forgets” that they are actually under-going treatment as it is integrated with minimal disruption to their life and activities. Accordingly, a methodology exploiting complementary dichoptic stimulation is presented.
Advanced LEP display mode, architectures and methodologies for display compensation
A display having a variably controlled backlight and/or driver is disclosed. The backlight includes a first light source that emits light within a first spectral power distribution and has a first radiant power output. A second light source emits light within a second spectral power distribution matched to an optical filter for producing a perceived chromaticity and luminosity matching the perceived display appearance without the optical filter.
