The present invention relates to an incubator comprising: a main body part which has a space formed therein for accommodating an infant; supports of which the lower portions are connected to one side of the main body part; a hood driving part provided with one or more multi joint link units and pivotably coupled to the supports; a hood which is disposed above the main body part, and opens and closes the main body part by means of the operation of the hood driving part; and a heater which is mounted to the hood driving part and changes position so that a heat radiating part faces away from the main body part when the main body part is closed, and faces the main body part when the main body part is open. Thus, the present invention can be easily converted for use as a warmer.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING A HEATING COMPONENT FOR AN INFANT CARE STATION
20220331182 · 2022-10-20 ·

An infant care station is described herein that can include a heating component of a microenvironment of the infant care station, at least one temperature measuring device, and a processor. The processor can calculate a baseline temperature of the heating component using the at least one temperature measuring device and monitor the heating component using the at least one temperature measuring device to determine one or more operating characteristics. The processor can also detect, based at least in part on the baseline temperature, that the one or more operating characteristics exceed a predetermined threshold and generate a response that results in a correction of the temperature maintained by the heating component.

Infant warming system and method

An infant warming system includes a body temperature probe, a peripheral temperature probe, and at least two identical input jacks, each input jack configured to receive either one of the first connector or the second connector. The body temperature probe has a body temperature sensor removably fixable to an infant's torso to measure a body temperature of the infant, and a first connector configured to connect to an input jack to transmit the body temperature measurement. The peripheral temperature probe includes a peripheral temperature sensor removably fixable to the infant's extremity to measure a peripheral temperature of the infant, and a second connector configured to connect to an input jack to transmit the peripheral temperature measurement. The system further includes a probe detection module to automatically detect whether each input jack is connected to the peripheral temperature probe or the body temperature probe.

Patient care device with retractable heater element

An infant care device and, more particularly, an apparatus for providing the combined functions of an infant incubator and a radiant infant warmer and which includes a radiant heater assembly contained within a housing and mechanisms and methods to quickly reduce the heating from the radiant heater assembly when the infant care device is quickly converted from an open infant radiant warming device to an enclosed incubator.

SYSTEM FOR LATCHING AN INFANT CARE STATION

An infant care station is described herein that can include a wall of the infant care station, wherein the wall comprises a primary latch and at least one secondary latch comprising a hinge with at least one bottom pin and at least one top pin, wherein the infant care station is an incubator, a warmer, or a combination thereof. In some examples, one or more pin acceptors are proximate the hinge, wherein the one or more pin acceptors hold the at least one bottom pin and the at least one top pin of the hinge in a closed position of the wall, and wherein the at least one top pin of the wall is released from the one or more pin acceptors in response to a force applied to the wall.
