The drive mechanism includes a first sensor configured to sense an operating condition of the drive mechanism. The patient support mechanism couples to the trolley and includes a tether and a second sensor. The tether can be operatively coupled to a patient such that the patient support mechanism supports the patient. The second sensor is configured to sense an operating condition of the patient support mechanism. The electronic system is included in the trolley and has at least a processor and a memory. The processor is configured to define a gait characteristic of the patient based at least in part on a signal received from the first sensor and a signal received from the second sensor.
Bed system and separation method
According to one embodiment, a bed system that is mechanically and electrically connectable to a main body of a medical image diagnosis apparatus includes a traveling unit and an interface. The traveling unit provided between the bed system and a floor surface. The interface configured to receive an operation of locking or unlocking driving of the traveling unit. The operation on the interface of locking or unlocking driving of the traveling unit is interlocked with electrical connection between the bed system and the main body.
Wheelchair systems and methods enabling fine manual motion control
Systems and methods of wheelchair systems enabling fine manual motion control are disclosed. In one embodiment, a wheelchair system includes a wheelchair. The wheelchair includes one or more wheels, at least one actuator coupled to the one or more wheels, a processing device, and a non-transitory, processor-readable storage medium in communication with the processing device. The non-transitory, processor-readable storage medium includes one or more programming instructions that, when executed, cause the processing device to determine a wheel torque on the one or more wheels, determine a compensation value, and actuate the at least one actuator applying the compensation value to the one or more wheels to remove at least a portion of the wheel torque such that less external force is required to physically move the powered wheelchair than when the compensation value is not applied.
AUTONOMOUS MOBILITY SYSTEM
An integrated and autonomous mobility system for disabled persons including an automated wheelchair (AV) and an Adapted Automated Vehicle (AAV) configured to work together as an integrated unit to transport a user to a pre-selected destination with little to no input from the user during the trip. The AV is also configured to operate independently of the AAV to transport the user on shorter trips, or to continue a journey after the AAV has transported the AW to an intermediate destination. Multiple safety systems are included. The system has an override function according to which a user can interrupt the automated transport operation and cause the AV and/or AAV to stop, slow down, speed up, or change direction.
Powered cots
According to one embodiment, a roll-in cot may include a support frame, a pair of front legs, a pair of back legs, and a cot actuation system. The pair of front legs may be slidingly coupled to the support frame. Each front leg includes at least one front wheel. The pair of back legs may be slidingly coupled to the support frame. Each back leg includes at least one back wheel. The cot actuation system includes a front actuator that moves the front legs and a back actuator that moves the back legs. The front actuator and the back actuator raises or lowers the support frame in tandem. The front actuator raises or lowers the front end of the support frame independently of the back actuator. The back actuator raises or lowers the back end of the support frame independently of the front actuator.
BED DEVICE
A bed device includes: an operation section that receives an operation input; a controller that controls a movement of the bed in accordance with the operation input; a detector that detects a position of a patient on the bed; and, a limitation table that stores a limitation area set on the bed in association with a limitation content, wherein when the position of the patient detected by the detector is included in the limitation area, the limitation content is read out from the limitation table so as to control the controller in accordance with the limitation content. With this configuration, it is possible to provide a higher safety bed device which can not only notify the danger based on the bed movement but also limit the movement of the bed in accordance with the status of the patient or the bed device.
Methods and apparatus for body weight support system
An apparatus includes a drive mechanism, a patient support mechanism, and an electronic system. The drive mechanism is included in a trolley and is configured to suspend the trolley from a support track.
ADJUSTABLE HEIGHT MEDICAL PROCEDURE TABLE
The present invention is directed to an adjustable height medical procedure table that can be moved between a first low position and second high position by a scissors lift. The table includes various features to prevent collisions when the table moved to the first low position.
Powered ambulance COT with an automated COT control system
A powered ambulance cot and methods of raising and lowering the cot as well as loading and unloading the cot are disclosed. The cot includes a support frame and legs, each leg having a wheel. An actuator of an actuation system interconnects the frame and legs, and is configured to effect changes in elevation of the frame relative to the wheel of each of the legs. A control system controls activation of the actuation system, and detects both the actuator at a first location relative to the frame, where the first location is remote from a second location and which situates an end of the actuator that is remote from each wheel closer to the frame, and a presence of a signal requesting a change in elevation of said support frame to thereby cause the legs to move relative to the support frame.
PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUSES WITH DRIVE SYSTEMS
A patient support apparatus includes a frame, wheels, a patient support surface, a motor, a power assist control, a sensor, and a controller. The power assist control detects a force applied to it. The sensor detects an angular orientation of the patient support apparatus with respect to a generally horizontal plane. The controller drives the motor at different levels for a particular force applied to the power assist control depending upon the angular orientation sensed by the sensor. The controller may control the motors such that the patient support apparatus accelerates at substantially the same rate, regardless of the angle of the patient support apparatus. The controller may also limit the driving of the motor to less than a maximum value based upon the angular orientation of the patient support apparatus.
