BOARDING AND ALIGHTING SUPPORT METHOD

A boarding and alighting support method supports a person requiring support who requires support of another person to get on a vehicle or get off a vehicle. The boarding and alighting support method includes: a storing step of storing at least one of a first image that is an image of the person requiring support and a second image that is an image of a protector of the person requiring support; a first display step in which the vehicle that the person requiring support is planned to get on displays the at least one of the first image and the second image; and a second display step in which the vehicle displays the at least one of the first image and the second image when the person requiring support is planned to get off the vehicle.

Power lift
11529272 · 2022-12-20 ·

A deployable gurney lift assembly (12), which has a carriage assembly (14) plate (20) with two pivot arms (38) disposed opposite one another on each side of the carriage assembly (14), an antler holder (16) to accommodate a bar of the gurney, and at least one hydraulic, pneumatic, or electric jack (22) lift actuator for lifting and lowering the arms (38). Retractable deployment apparatus for slidably moving the retractable deployment apparatus along a length of base tracks (28). Base tracks (28) having rear ends terminating in stops (42), and carriage assembly (14) guides slidably engaged along deployment tracks (28).

ASSISTED ROTATION DEVICE

A portable rotation assist device is configured to reorient mobility impaired patients when they are moving from one location to another such as from a vehicle seat to a wheelchair. The rotation device is placed on the floor or ground between the two positions. The patient stands or can be assisted to stand on the platform on top of the device. The platform is then rotated to a second position to transfer the patient. Rotational movement and torque is provided by an onboard battery and compact motor acting through gears incorporated into the rotating platform. Choice of rotation direction and actuation of start and stop is provided by a wireless remote control. Remote control buttons are configured so they must be held down during rotation and rotation stops upon button release.

Mobility device restraining apparatus

A restraint apparatus for securing a mobility device in a vehicle includes a base configured to being mounted to a floor of the vehicle, a support coupled to the base and extending upward therefrom, and a backing plate adjustably coupled to the support. The backing plate defines a channel to provide vertical adjustment of the backing plate with respect to the support. An upper support is pivotally coupled to the backing plate, and a claw assembly is coupled to the upper support. The claw assembly includes a claw member and a latching member, where the latching member is pivotally coupled to the claw member to enable pivotal movement between an unlatched position and a latched position. A control system operably controls the pivotal movement of the latching member between its latched position to its unlatched positions. In the unlatched position, the claw assembly provides an opening for receiving the device.

ENTRY-AND-EXIT ASSISTANCE DEVICE FOR VEHICLE

A vehicle entry-and-exit assistance device easily moves a board between a housed position and a using position. Embodiments include a board at an outer side of a seat adjacent to a door opening, the board rotatable between a horizontal posture and an orthogonal posture; a board support portion rotatable between a seat side-position and a flipped-up position; and a linking mechanism. The board pivots around an axis orthogonal to the vehicle width direction, and the support portion pivots around an axis extending in the vehicle width direction. The linking mechanism rotates the board to a vehicle-width-direction inner side with respect to the support portion to take the orthogonal posture when the support portion is rotated to the flipped-up position, and rotates the board to a vehicle-width-direction outer side with respect to the support portion to take the horizontal posture when the support portion is rotated to the seat side-position.
