SANITIZING FENDER FOR A WHEELCHAIR
A fender for sanitizing wheels of a wheelchair including a support frame and a fender housing. The support frame includes a mounting bracket for mounting the support frame on a vertical frame on the rear portion of the wheelchair. The fender housing is removably mounted on the support frame. The fender housing includes a plurality of Ultraviolet-C (UVC) light sources powered by a re-chargeable battery and a driver circuit. The plurality of UVC light sources are configured to sanitize a surface of a wheel of the wheelchair by virtue of illumination of surface of the wheel during rotation of the wheel.
Wheelchair traction devices and systems
Various implementations include a wheelchair traction attachment device. The device includes a frame having an arcuately-shaped longitudinal axis, an inner surface, an outer surface opposite and spaced apart from the inner surface. The frame has a first edge extending between the inner and outer surfaces, and a second edge spaced apart from the first edge. At least a portion of the inner surface defines a channel. The device includes at least one first wheel-clip extending radially inwardly from the first edge of the frame relative to the arcuately-shaped longitudinal axis. The device includes at least one second wheel-clip extending radially inwardly from the second edge of the frame relative to the arcuately-shaped longitudinal axis. The device includes a traction portion disposed along at least a portion of the outer surface, the traction portion extending radially outwardly from the outer surface relative to the arcuately-shaped longitudinal axis.
WARMING DEVICE FOR WHEELCHAIR HANDRIM
A warming device for the handrim of a wheelchair is disclosed herein to relieve discomfort caused by manually wheeling a wheelchair in cold and/or wet weather conditions. The warming device includes a hand interface, a mount, and a heating element. The warming device is configured to mount the tube of a handrim. The heating element of the warming device is coupled to an electronics system including a printed circuit board and a battery. The electronics system may be internal to the warming device, or may be housed in an external electronics box mounted similarly to the handrim or the rear wheel of the wheelchair.
HAND RIM
Provided is a hand rim which is not slippery even when the surface is wet. A hand rim 7 includes a base material 70 and an anti-slippage layer 71 formed on the surface of the base material 70. The anti-slippage layer 71 includes an adhesive layer 71a formed on the surface of the base material 70 and particles 71b which are fixed through the adhesive layer 71a. The particles 71b are fixed so as to protrude from the adhesive layer 71a.
Wheelchair
A wheelchair comprises a frame and two main wheels each coupled to a hand rim for actuating the wheels in both directions of rotation and for braking.
Driving force applied position estimation system and driving force applied position estimation method
The disclosure provides a driving force applied position estimation system that can accurately estimate an applied position of a driving force from an occupant. A measurement system includes a six-axis force sensor provided in a wheelchair, a rotation angle recognition part which recognizes a rotation angle of the six-axis force sensor, and a COP estimation part which estimates a COP that is the applied position of the driving force from the occupant to the wheelchair. The COP estimation part estimates the COP based on a translational force and a moment detected by the six-axis force sensor and based on the rotation angle recognized by the rotation angle recognition part to improve estimation accuracy of the COP estimation part and measurement accuracy of the measurement system.
Single-handedly operable wheelchair
Provided is a lightweight and inexpensive wheelchair that can be easily operated with either a right or left hand. The wheelchair according to the present invention is provided with; a pair of handrims having a first portion connected to each handrim spoke and a second portion connected to a base of each wheel; a drive mechanism for transmitting a first rotational force generated by the first portion on one side and/or another side to the wheel on the one side and the wheel on the other side, wherein the drive mechanism includes an axle on the one side, an axle on the other side connected to the axle on the one side via a rotary shaft, a first two-way clutch located on the axle on the one side, and a second two-way clutch located on the axle on the other side.
WHEELCHAIR
A wheelchair comprises a frame and two main wheels each coupled to a hand rim for actuating the wheels in both directions of rotation and for braking.
