A waterproof chair for use when bathing is provided. The chair may include an on-board system for raising and lowering the chair between sitting and raised positions. The chair may be used by elderly persons to assist them in sitting and standing in a shower, for example. The chair may include a rechargeable battery for powering a linear actuator for moving the chair between sitting and raised positions. The chair may also be adapted to allow a seat on the chair to swivel relative to a base of the chair. The chair may include an automatic lock to restrict relative movement of the seat and the base when the seat is being raised, and then automatically unlock to again allow for swivel motion when the seat has been moved back into its sitting position. Hydraulic and pneumatic embodiments are also disclosed.

The present invention discloses a moving mechanism including a support; a driving device mounted on the support; a controller arranged on the support; two sets of moving assemblies respectively mounted at two ends of the support; wherein each of the moving assemblies includes a track and two synchronous wheels of different diameters arranged inside the track, such that the moving mechanism could be functioned and run freely over stairs, rugged road surface and all-terrain ground under the action of the driving device and the controller. The invention relates to a mobility scooter for individual mobility of a person, comprising a chassis, two front wheels aside the chassis and at least one rear wheel, a seat with a seat base and armrests for the person, a footrest on the chassis that extends between the seat and the front wheels, and an electronic controller assembly, wherein the mobility scooter has a driving mode and a boarding mode, wherein in the driving mode the seat base and the armrests are in the driving position, and wherein in the boarding mode the seat base or at least one of the armrests is in the boarding position, wherein the electronic controller is configured to steer the front wheels in the boarding mode into the sideward steering direction that is opposite to the side to which the seat base or the armrest is swung in the boarding position.

A conveyance for surmounting obstacles which includes a first ground engaging arrangement, and a second ground engaging arrangement, and the first and second ground engaging arrangements are operable to move in an alternating sequence of movements to enable the conveyance to surmount obstacles. The conveyance is statically balanced alternately by one then the other of the ground engaging arrangements throughout the sequence of movements. Each ground engaging arrangement includes a forwardly disposed portion and a rearwardly disposed portion which are spaced apart from one another. Each ground engaging arrangement further includes an obstacle accommodating region located between the forwardly disposed portion and the rearwardly disposed portion which can accommodate a portion of an obstacle being surmounted during use.

The yoke also has an attachment formation for releasable attachment of an arm-rest and a back-rest for the seat portion. The seat portion can be lifted off the yoke as a first component.
