Mattress with patient restraint stored inside
09833370 · 2017-12-05 ·

A patient restraining device is secured to a patient supporting structure, such as an ambulance cot, to more safely support a person's body during transport from one place to another. The device includes at least one sheet of fabric and connectors secured to the fabric. With the device fastened to an ambulance cot, either directly or via the ambulance cot mattress, a person is positioned on the cot mattress, and then the fabric is wrapped about the person's body, and the connectors are secured about the person's body. Among other things, the device may be used to stabilize the abdominal mass of a bariatric patient, and thereby safely increase the effective “patient capacity” of an otherwise conventional ambulance cot. When not in use, the device is stored in one or more storage cavities defined by the ambulance cot mattress.

A medical automatic turnover bed includes: a fixed bed frame; a turnover bed frame suspended above the fixed bed frame; an electric driving device installed at the fixed bed frame for flipping the turnover bed frame sideways; a bed board installed with a space apart from the turnover bed frame and provided for a patient to lie on; and fasteners arranged on left and right sides of the bed board or the turnover bed frame and manually or automatically flappable to change the position to a proximate position or a far position relative to the sides of the patient's body. In this way, the medical automatic turnover bed can secure the patient's body safely and can be turned sideways automatically to change the pressed position of the patient's body, so as to achieve the effects of turning over the patient conveniently, preventing bedsores, and reducing the work of caregivers.

Adjustable Patient Support Apparatus For Assisted Egress And Ingress

An adjustable patient support apparatus comprises a base, a support frame, and a patient support deck. The patient support deck comprises articulating deck sections, such as a leg section, seat section, and a back section pivotally coupled together. One or more actuators may be configured to move the leg and/or back section between a lowered position and one or more raised positions. The seat section may include one or more articulating seats to assist with ingress and egress from the patient support apparatus. The one or more seats may be articulated manually or electrically via a lever or actuator.

Trunk control systems and wheelchairs comprising same

A trunk control system having a harness assembly and a flexion control assembly. The harness assembly has a backrest member and a harness secured to the backrest member. The backrest member is configured to be moveably coupled to a wheelchair. The backrest member is selectively moveable about and between a fully retracted position and a fully extended position. The harness cooperates with the backrest member to define a receiving space for receiving at least a portion of a torso of a wheelchair user. The flexion control assembly is coupled to the backrest member of the harness assembly. The flexion control assembly is configured to selectively permit or restrict movement of the backrest member about and between the fully retracted position and the fully extended position.

The invention provides an anti-slip and quick-detach fastener structure for using with an annular strap which comprises a fixed end, a first inner edge, a free end, and a second inner edge. The anti-slip and quick-detach fastener structure comprises a fixing ring and a dynamic friction member. The fixing ring comprises a first fixing section, a second fixing section opposite to the first fixing section, and an inserting space. The dynamic friction member comprises a first friction section surrounded by the free end to constrain the second inner edge, and an operating section connected with the first friction section. The first friction section and the second fixing section form a dynamic friction state to jointly clamp the free end, and the first friction section loses the dynamic friction state with the second fixing section and releases the free end when the first friction section is forced to rotate.

Emergency medical mat for safe movement in case of disaster

Disclosed is an emergency medical mat for safe movement in case of disaster, which has an improved structure that a side reinforcement belt and a floor reinforcement belt are arranged to be overlapped and fixed by backstitch parts so that a bottom surface of the mat is supported by the floor reinforcement belt when persons hold handle parts and lift up the medical mat to carry the mat and the structure prevents deformation of a middle area of the mat to which a deflection load is applied by a patient's weight, thereby preventing a secondary accident of a patient with a serious case during a disaster evacuation. The emergency medical mat for safe movement in case of disaster includes floor reinforcement belts, safe evacuation belts, and a side reinforcement belt.
