The pad assembly includes a foam pad comprising an outward portion that covers an outward face of one rail and a top portion that covers a top end of the one rail. The pad assembly also includes an inner casing that encases and is attached to the foam pad and an outer cover that covers the inner casing. The outer cover has a fastener for securing the pad assembly to the one rail.

Armrest assembly

An armrest assembly is disclosed herein. The armrest assembly includes a main body with a proximal adjustment assembly disposed at a first end and a distal adjustment assembly disposed at a second end. The proximal adjustment assembly provides for adjustment of the main body about a first axis. The distal adjustment assembly provides for adjustment of an arm pad about a second axis as well as a third axis. To prevent damage, a breakaway assembly is provided by the distal adjustment assembly to unlock the arm pad from a raised position and lower it into a lower position in the event a weight applied to the arm pad is beyond a particular weight threshold.

The base assembly includes an outer base and an inner base portion. The inner base portion is adjustable from the outer base portion such that a user may configure the height of the bedside support structure. The base assembly further includes an elongated arm that is pivotably mounted to one end of the outer base. The other end of the elongated arm is pivotably mounted to the opposite end of the support structure. The pivot configuration allows a user to adjust the height of the support structure as needed to fit the height of the bed of an individual. The bedside support structure provides a structural support for users of limited mobility to aid the users in sitting beside a bed.

A protective bumper pad for placing over a bed railed presented. The protective bumper pad includes an outer frame, a body pad and an inner pad. The outer frame is rigid or semi-rigid so that when the apparatus is completed it is secure and strong so that a patient will not easily break it. The body pad and inner pad are a soft, flexible but sturdy material that can protect a patient when they contact it without causing any injury to the patient. The elastic material allows for a tight fit with the bed rails and connecting ports allow a more secure installation.

The valve is configured to secure the filler into the airtight chamber. The apparatus further includes at least one strapping element configured to securely mount the inflatable unit to the furniture. The apparatus also includes at least one fastener configured to attach to the at least one strapping element while mounting the inflatable unit to the furniture.
