Rotational support apparatus
Moving an individual with limited mobility from one seated position to another requires a significant effort from the caregiver and can expose the individual and the caregiver to several injuries. The rotational support apparatus is useful in safely assisting individuals with limited mobility to move from one seated position to another with minimal effort. The apparatus is lightweight and portable. The base of the apparatus rotates so the caregiver can easily move the position of the individual. The base can be coupled with a stabilizing device that the individual with limited mobility can hold on to while the caregiver rotates them to another position.
Apparatus and Method for an effortless transition to a prone position for patients suffering from SARS-COV-2
The invention relates to a prone position device that is modular and has universal integration capability, for an effortless transition to a prone position in patients suffering from SARS-CoV-2 or any acute respiratory distress syndrome through the use of a mechanical means that may be fitted into a full spectrum of beds to support a multitude of resting positions for the patient.
Multi-function adaptable lift system
A lift system has a back panel and a seat panel to provide a seat. The back panel is slidably mounted on a support column via slider so that the back panel can be moved up and down to adjust the seat height. The seat panel can be flipped back when the back panel is in an upright position. The back panel, together with the support column, can be oriented in a horizontal position and the seat panel can be adjusted similarly. With the support column, the lift system can be attached to a wheeled frame for mobility, but it can also be attached to a pole, a rotatable arm, a wall or a ceiling.

System and method for moving, turning, and positioning a patient
A method for turning and positioning a patient includes placing a sheet under the patient, the sheet including a top surface, a bottom surface, a first lateral side, a second lateral side, a first strap coupled proximate to the first lateral side, and a second strap coupled proximate to the second lateral side, and providing a pulling force to the first strap and the second strap, wherein the pulling force to the first strap and the pulling force to the second strap are in opposing directions across the patient. The pulling force to the first strap is greater than the pulling force to the second strap whereby the pulling force to the first handle causes movement of the patient in the direction of the pulling force to move the patient from a first position to a second position, and the pulling force to the second handle is a resistance force.
Patient Turner-Puller
Methods using a motor, and a rolling tube or rod of sufficient strength to apply a pull force on one side of a sheet on the bed with the patient lying on the sheet to help pull up the patient on his bed or turn patients on his side with little manual effort. Patients having mobility issues under care in homes, nursing-homes or hospitals have to be regularly pulled up and turned on their sides to make them comfortable and to avoid formation of bed sores among other reasons. Currently this is done manually by nurses or caregivers. These simple but strenuous operation has been the cause of back problems for many caregivers. The current method is a way to reduce or eliminate this cause of injury to caregivers by providing a mechanized help for the operations.
Patient raiser
The application relates to a device for, and method of transferring a patient on a bed between a lying position along a bed to a seated position facing the side of a bed. The device comprises an arm hold to allow the patient to clinch the arm hold to his or her chest, thereby enabling the device to transfer the patient between a lying position and a seated position. Preferably, the device further comprises a leg support to assist in transferring the lower portion of the patients body between a lying position and a seated position.

DEVICE FOR INSERTING SUPPORT BETWEEN SURFACES
A device for inserting a support beneath an object is provided that includes an eversible tubular membrane with a closed end and an open end with the open end sealably connected to a container enclosing a pressurized fluid, wherein the closed end is connected such that it can be retracted under tension through the inside of the tube formed by the radially outward facing aspect of the membrane, and wherein with pressure and/or tension changes the membrane can be eversibly extended and retracted between two surfaces. In addition, the membrane may be co-everted with a sling or draw sheet such that the sling or draw sheet can be inserted between two surfaces along with the membrane. Further, multiple eversible membranes may be inserted between two surfaces or beneath an object or a patient in accordance with the disclosed invention.
Lifting device and associated methods
A lifting device may include a main body member and a top member that is detachably connectable to portions of the main body member. The top member may include a top and a hoist assembly that is connected to and extends outwardly from the top. The lifting device may be used to assist in lifting a patient from a seated or a prone position. The main body member is moveable between a collapsed position that is defined as side support member of the main body member being positioned adjacent to a support connecting member of the main body member, and the opened position is defined as a side support members of the main body member being positioned substantially perpendicular to the support connecting member.
