Noninvasive, Regional Brain Thermal Stimulation for Inducing Relaxation
Methods, systems and devices for reducing anxiety, including increasing relaxation and/or calm. In some variations these methods may include reducing anxiety, increase relaxation and/or calm by non-invasive temperature regulation of the frontal cortex prior to and/or during sleep. The subject may have an anxiety disorder, or may not have a diagnosed anxiety disorder.
Systems and methods for multi-modal and non-invasive stimulation of the nervous system
Systems and methods are provided to combine multiple stimulation modalities to significantly increase the effectiveness of non-invasive stimulation. Multiple sensor and stimulation devices and modalities can be combined into a single, compact unit that minimizes the need for additional sensors or stimulation devices. The system features several subunits, referred to as sensory and stimulation devices (SSD), that are integrated into a headphone setup. The system is controlled by a centralized controller that communicates with all of the SSDs and with an external computer system that delivers learning material synchronized with the delivery of stimulations and the collection of user responses based on physiological signals.
TRAVEL PILLOW
In one or more embodiments, the present invention provide a versatile travel pillow that provides support to the user's head, neck, and shoulders, prevents the user from sliding sideways with respect to the seat, can be quickly and easily secured to the headrest or armrest of a seat or chair, and can be quickly and easily moved from one vehicle seat to another.
Cervical-curvature autocorrect apparatus and methods incorporating the apparatus
An apparatus for manipulating (in one alternative correcting) the cervical curvature of a user, the apparatus having a top, a bottom, a first end, a second end, a first side and a second side, wherein: proximate the top, a thoracic section for receiving the upper back region of a user, preferably for receiving the thoracic region of the user; proximate the top, a cervical section for receiving the cervical curve region of the user; the cervical section is movable with a traction path in at least one of the following planes vertical, horizontal and combinations thereof; in one alternative, the cervical section is movable in an arc-like motion along the vertical plane.
Massage machine
A massage machine includes a seat unit on which a treatment subject person is configured to sit, a backrest unit configured to support a back of the person sitting on the seat unit, a base that is disposed in front of the backrest unit; and a treatment mechanism that is attached to the base configured to perform a massage on a shoulder of the person in a state where the person sits on the seat unit. The treatment mechanism includes a drive unit which includes an output shaft attached to the base and rotated by supplied power, and a treatment device configured to press the shoulder from above. In accordance with rotation of the output shaft, the treatment device oscillates in an upward/downward direction so as to perform the treatment on the shoulder.
VIBROTACTILE STIMULATION DEVICE
A vibrotactile stimulation device intended to be applied against a body medium (MC) to be stimulated, produced in the form of a functional unit, comprising a vibrating effector suitable for applying, to said medium, pulses of mechanical vibrational energy, and a controller for controlling the effector according to stimulation rules. The functional unit further houses a first electrode suitable for cooperating with at least one second electrode separated from the first electrode in order to supply signals representative of a cardiac activity and a muscular activity on the medium to be stimulated, said controller being sensitive to cardiac activity and muscular activity signals in order to influence the stimulation. The stimulation device may be used for body stimulation in combating sleep apnea, with improved detection.
INFANT TRAINING DEVICES AND METHODS FOR THE USE THEREOF
Infant training devices and methods for the use thereof are disclosed herein. A benefit to the devices and methods herein can be the effective training of an infant to develop the suck-swallow-breathe pattern of nutritive and non-nutritive sucking required for feeding from an infant bottle, or for self-soothing with a pacifier. A further benefit to the devices and methods herein can be providing versatile devices for the use of vibration therapy as an infant training aid for feeding from an infant feeding bottle, or as an infant soothing pacifier.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IMPROVING BINOCULAR VISION
The present disclosure describes systems and methods for improving binocular vision, which generate a virtual image moving between two different depths to stimulate and then strengthen the weaker/abnormal eye of the viewer to eventually improve or even restore his/her binocular vision based on the viewer's eye information. The system comprises an eye tracking module and a virtual image module. The eye tracking module is configured to provide eye information of the viewer. The virtual image module configured to display a first virtual object by projecting multiple normal light signals to a viewer's first eye to form a normal image and corresponding multiple adjusted light signals to a viewers second eye to form an adjusted image.
CAMBERED MASSAGER FITTED TO OUTLINE OF HEAD
The present disclosure is applicable to the technical field of massage apparatuses, and provides a cambered massager fitted to the outline of a head. The cambered massager includes a first elastic cambered carrier, a first protective wrap layer, a battery unit, a control unit and a button; the first elastic cambered carrier is fitted and assembled to first protective wrap layer to form an overall shell approximate to a cambered head clasp; first protective wrap layer carries several protruding point-like massage units; first massage vibration sources are mounted inside massage units; battery unit is connected to the control unit; the control unit is connected to the first massage vibration sources; the button is connected to control unit; and first massage vibration sources vibrate under control of control unit. The control unit can turn on and turn off first massage vibration sources to vibrate and control vibration strength.
POWERED CHAIRS FOR PUBLIC VENUES, ASSEMBLIES FOR USE IN POWERED CHAIRS, AND COMPONENTS FOR USE IN ASSEMBLIES FOR USE IN POWERED CHAIRS
A remotely controlled powered chair may include a support frame, a seat pivotally mounted on the support frame, an rotary actuator mounted between the support frame and the seat to drive the seat to move relative to the support frame, a backrest pivotally mounted on the seat, and a linear actuator mounted between the seat and the backrest to drive the backrest to move relative to the seat. Thus, the rotary actuator may be controlled by an electrically control device to drive the seat to pivot relative to the support frame reciprocally in a pendulum manner so that the seat is pivoted relative to the support frame automatically. In addition, the linear actuator may be controlled by the electrically control device to adjust the inclined angle of the backrest so as to provide a comfortable sensation to the user. A remotely controlled powered chair may include a base assembly. A chair frame is supported on the base assembly. An actuator mechanism may communicate with the base assembly and the chair frame, and is operable to actuate the chair frame between first and second positions.
