Stationary automated device for lower limb rehabilitation
Two vertical front posts and two vertical rear posts are mounted on a flat platform of the automated device. The front posts mounted in the horizontal guide are symmetrically moved by the spacing adjustment mechanism within the range between the position of the joined front posts to a dimension between their inner surfaces equal to the width of the wheelchair, and the moved apart position to a dimension where the width dimension of the wheelchair is located between the mechanical legs suspended on the front posts. On the inner surfaces of the front posts, there are vertical guides with a screw drive mechanism for pelvic height adjustment. The mechanical legs girdle the patient's lower limbs from the outside by pelvic control units that induce a symmetrically alternating movement of the hip joint hinges in both mechanical legs with ellipsoid trajectories, and by adjustable thigh and shin connectors and foot connectors.
Self-powered, mechanically-isolated/decoupled vibration mechanism for bicycle pedals
A self-powered vibration mechanism is provided that can be mounted on an existing pedal shaft yet operates independent from the existing pedal. Mechanical isolation or mechanical decoupling permits transferring the vibrating energy to the foot rather than to the pedal shaft and the bicycle. In another embodiment, a full removable pedal with self-powered vibration mechanism can replace an existing pedal.
Method of treating pain
Aspects of the cutaneous stimulation devices include a cutaneous stimulation module and a cutaneous association element configured to stably associate the module with a skin location. The cutaneous stimulation module may be an active or passive module. Also provided are methods of using the devices, e.g., in rehabilitation and/or pain mitigation applications.
Orthotic appliance
Provided is an device for stabilizing the center of gravity and/or correcting distortion of the body simply through wearing of the appliance on a toe and conducting normal activities. The following invention is provided by the present invention. A cylindrical correction device that corrects distortion of the body, wherein: the correction device has inward-facing triangular-prism-shaped protrusions on the inner circumference; the triangles are inclined in one direction with respect to the circumference; and the correction device comprises a cylindrical elastic material having a diameter of 7-20 mm, a width of 5-10 mm, a thickness of 1-3 mm, and a hardness of 4-6.
ATHLETIC PLAYER SEATING SYSTEM
An athletic player seating system; the athletic player seating system may include a seating unit having a first-seat, a center console, and a second-seat hosted on a frame. The first-seat and the second-seat each include a backrest, a seat portion, and a footrest having padded sections hosting heating elements and massagers positioned on all user-contacting surface points. The first-seat and the second-seat each further include a cooling system and a series of air vents positioned to direct air moved by the cooling system towards the first-seat and the second-seat. The seating unit also includes a first-liquid-container and a second-liquid-container for water and sports beverages. Additionally, the seating unit includes means for oxygen delivery to a user.
Reclinable Therapeutic Massage Chair
A therapeutic massage chair is reclinable between a horizontal and inclined position. The chair includes an upper back support member and a lower support member that is axially movable along a support frame, and is also rotatable about an axis which is perpendicular to the plane of the upper back support member. Electric linear actuators are provided to recline the therapeutic massage chair, and both axially move and oscillate the lower body support member. The therapeutic massage chair may be fitted with a controller system which allows the chair to be operated wirelessly from a mobile device running a mobile application, which may communicate with a web-based portal and/or database.
Walking support system, walking support method, and walking support program
A walking support system includes: an information output device (260); a motion detector (220) which detects a motion of a user; a foot landing position detector (230) which detect a foot landing position of the user; a determiner (240) which determines a recommended foot landing position which is a landing position of the feet suitable for stabilizing motions of a gait of the user on the basis of motions of a gait of the user detected by the motion detector, the foot landing position detected by the foot landing position detector, and dynamics; and an output controller (250) which outputs information indicating the recommended foot landing position determined by the determiner to the information output device.
Modular exercise system
The present invention is a modular exercise system made up of two handles, a segmented track, and two or more sliding carriages. The invention allows a user to safely and incrementally practice front and side split exercises by providing specific and adjustable stability and support. The invention can be extended to accommodate taller users and can also be fully disassembled and packed into a compact travelling configuration.
Method and device for controlled delivery of medical devices
A device that uses an anatomic landmark or fiduciary point to establish a point of origin for device orientation in space is provided. The device controls the direction and depth of delivery of a needle, wire, trocar or cannula utilized for diagnostic or therapeutic intervention. The device guides the percutaneous delivery of a needle, wire, trocar or cannula to a target spatial location on or within tissue.
Method and Apparatus for Knee Joint Flexibility Rehabilitation
A knee joint flexibility rehabilitation apparatus may comprising a tubular strut having a first support foot and a bracket attached thereto, the tubular strut forming a first aperture; a height-adjustment bar translatably and rotatably disposed in the tubular strut, the height-adjustment bar forming a plurality of second apertures extending through the cross-section of the height-adjustment bar; a support bar fixed substantially perpendicularly to the height-adjustment bar, the padded support bar being configured to receive a knee joint posterior; a support strut pivotably connected to the bracket, the support strut having a second support foot attached thereto, the support strut pivotable away from parallel the tubular strut to form an acute angle thereto; and a pin removably disposed in one of the plurality of second apertures to fix the height-adjustment bar against translation in one direction.
