An apparatus to preserve a first fluid of a medicine vial is provided. The apparatus may include a vial coupling member comprising a housing and a flexible membrane. The housing and the flexible membrane form a vial coupling member cavity within the vial coupling member. The apparatus may also include a first fluid pathway forming a first lumen that is in fluid communication with the vial coupling member cavity. The apparatus may further include a second fluid pathway forming a second lumen that is in fluid communication with the vial coupling member cavity. When the flexible membrane engages the medicine vial, the flexible membrane forms a sealed environment over a medicine vial septum. When the flexible membrane engages the medicine vial, the flexible membrane permits the first lumen and the second lumen to establish fluid communication with an interior space of the medicine vial.

Blood collection tube

A blood collection tube for physically separating the plasma and red blood cell fractions of a centrifuged sample is described. The blood collection tube has an elastomeric sleeve with rigid tube segments at both ends. Following blood collection and centrifugation, the elastomeric sleeve may be twisted to constrict its inner diameter and physically separate the two fractions. The blood collection tube may be secured in this position with a pin and a clamp, and further with an adhesive tape with pH paper. This enables blood samples to be transferred over long distances to a central lab facility without spoiling.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING MIXTURES

A system is disclosed for producing a mixture to deliver to a treatment site. The system includes a mixing lumen attachable to a proximal end of a delivery system. A multi-lumen chamber can be removably connected to a proximal end of the mixing lumen and include a first lumen aligned with a second lumen. The first lumen can be configured to comprise a first constituent in a first state. The first lumen can include a first plunger to move the first constituent from the first lumen to the mixing lumen. The first lumen can terminate in a first port. The second lumen can be configured to include a second constituent. The second lumen can include a second plunger to distally move the second constituent and terminate in a second port. A vial adaptor can be included with a vial having a third constituent.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING MIXTURES

A system is disclosed for producing a mixture to deliver to a treatment site. The system can include a first chamber with an inner cavity including a first constituent and an outer cavity concentric with the first cavity and including a second constituent. A partition can be openable and separate the first and second cavities. A second chamber can include a third constituent and be concentric with the first chamber. Moving the first chamber and/or the second chamber relative to the other can cause the partition to open so that the first constituent and the second constituent mix with each other to form a first mixture. Applying a force to the system can cause the first mixture and the third constituent to egress through distal portions of the first and second chambers and mix together to form the mixture for delivery to the treatment site.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING MIXTURES

A system is disclosed for producing a mixture to deliver to a treatment site. The system can include a mixing lumen attachable to a proximal end of a delivery system. A multi-lumen chamber can be connected to a proximal end of the mixing lumen and include a first lumen aligned and adjacent a second lumen. The first lumen can receive a first constituent in a first state. The first lumen can include a first plunger to move the first constituent from the first lumen to the mixing lumen. The second lumen can include a second constituent and a second plunger to distally move the second constituent and the first constituent in a second state. Distally moving the second plunger causes the first constituent and the second constituent to be mixed together within the mixing lumen to form the mixture.

Peritoneal dialysis fluid

The present invention is a sterile peritoneal dialysis fluid, including an acidic first liquid containing 60.0 to 94.0 g/L of icodextrin and 0 to 2.34 g/L of sodium chloride, and an alkaline second liquid containing an alkaline pH regulator, in which the first liquid after sterilization has a pH of 5.0 to 5.5, the second liquid after sterilization has a pH of 6.5 to 7.5, and a mixture of the first liquid and the second liquid after sterilization has a pH of 6.0 to 7.5. The present invention can provide a peritoneal dialysis fluid containing icodextrin, in which the stability of icodextrin during the heat sterilization and the subsequent storage can be improved to the maximum, and the pH of the peritoneal dialysis fluid is close to the physiological range.

Drug vial safety device

A drug vial safety device, including a cover that is securable to a drug vial is disclosed. The cover at least partially encloses at least a neck and a lid of the drug vial. The cover includes a port having a shape that restricts syringe access to the vial through the port to a syringe shaped to be compatible with the port shape.

An apparatus to preserve liquid from a medicine vial may include a vial coupling member forming a vial coupling member cavity and a container forming a cavity. The apparatus may further include a first fluid pathway forming a first lumen that is in fluid communication with the vial coupling member cavity and the cavity and a second fluid pathway forming a second lumen that is in fluid communication with the vial coupling member cavity and the cavity. The vial coupling member cavity, the cavity, the first lumen, and the second lumen may form a sterile environment that is sealed from contaminants in an ambient environment. The apparatus may include a disengaging member configured to permit the container to disengage from the first fluid pathway and the second fluid pathway while permanently sealing at least one of the first lumen or the second lumen.

Unified Drug Mixer And Dispenser

A unified dispenser for holding, mixing, and dispensing a drug includes a housing holding a diluent reservoir, a drug reservoir, and a tubing set connecting and defining a fluid communication path therebetween. A first occlusion is at the diluent reservoir, and a second occlusion is at the drug reservoir. In a storage state of the dispenser, the first and second occlusions are entirely encased within the housing and occlude the fluid communication path. First and second pull assemblies extend outside the housing. The first and second pull assemblies are coupled to the first and second occlusions, respectively, so that removal of the first and second pull assemblies removes the first and second occlusions and joins the diluent reservoir to the drug reservoir in fluid communication through the tubing set, thereby arranging the dispenser from the storage state to a use state.
