ORAL COMPOSITION FOR TOOTH WHITENING PRODUCT, AND KIT COMPRISING SAME
The present invention relates to a composition that acts prior to the action of a tooth whitening composition or tooth whitening patch, the composition containing an oral cavity stimulation alleviating component able to reduce stimulation by the tooth whitening composition or patch. The present invention also relates to a tooth whitening kit whereby oral cavity stimulation is alleviated. The composition that acts prior to the action of a tooth whitening composition or patch of the present invention provides an outstanding tooth whitening effect while alleviating pain by mitigating intra-oral stimulation brought about by the rapid action of a tooth whitening component due to a tooth whitening component active agent.
PTEROSTILBENE (PTER) FOR USE IN THE PREVENTION AND/OR TREATMENT OF SKIN DISEASES, DAMAGES OR INJURIES
The present invention refers to the use of PTER, or any acceptable salt thereof, optionally in combination with QUER, or any acceptable salt thereof, for the manufacture of pharmaceutical compositions for preventing and/or treating skin diseases, damages or injuries. Those methods of prevention and/or treatment comprise the administration of an effective amount of a composition comprising PTER as active compound, or any acceptable salt thereof, optionally in combination with QUER, or any acceptable salt thereof, to the subject. The present invention also refers to the compositions, per se, comprising PTER as active compound, or any acceptable salt thereof, optionally in combination with QUER, or any acceptable slat thereof, characterized by being formulated in the form of liposomes, and to the method for preparing said liposome formulations.
STEM CELL STIMULATING COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS
The inventive subject is directed towards ready-to-use topical cosmetic formulations that include at least one defensin present in sub-antimicrobially effective concentrations. Surprisingly, even at such low concentrations, defensins recruit LGR6+ stem cells from hair follicles to the interfollicular space. Including defensins in the inventive topical cosmetic formulations may reduce one or more of wrinkle depth, wrinkle length, wrinkle width, pore size, irregularity in texture of a skin surface, oiliness, brown spots, and red spots in non-injured skin, thus reducing apparent age.
Methods and compositions of bile acids and salts for reduction of fat
The present invention relates to compositions and methods for treating fat deposit accumulation in a subject. The invention provides a non-surgical method for reducing fat deposits comprising administering an effective amount of a fat-lysing concentration of one or more of cholate and chenodeoxycholate in a pharmaceutically acceptable formulation to the subject in need thereof.
Silk Protein Fragment Compositions and Articles Manufactured Therefrom
A composition is disclosed that includes pure silk fibroin-based protein fragments that are substantially devoid of sericin, wherein the composition has an average weight average molecular weight ranging from about 17 kDa to about 38 kDa, wherein the composition has a polydispersity of between about 1.5 and about 3.0, wherein the composition is substantially homogeneous, wherein the composition between 0 ppm to about 500 ppm of inorganic residuals, and wherein the composition includes between 0 ppm to about 500 ppm of organic residuals.
METHODS AND MATCHA GREEN TEA CONTAINING COMPOSITIONS FOR PREVENTING AND TREATING TOOTH EROSION
An oral composition in the form of a lozenge or lollipop is provided. The composition comprises crosslinked polyvinylpyrrolidine (PVP), xylitol and Matcha green tea. A multi-layer lozenge or lollipop for neutralizing saliva and re-hardening tooth enamel is also provided. The lozenge or lollipop comprises an alkalinizing agent; a re-mineralizing agent comprising Matcha green tea; a base; a plasticizer; and a sugar alcohol, wherein the lozenge or lollipop upon oral administration raises the saliva pH from about 7 to about 10 in about 1 minute. Methods of making and treatment are also provided.
Oral care compositions comprising hops beta acids and metal ions
Oral care compositions that have hops beta acid, such as from an extract from a species in the Humulus family, and a metal ion source, such as a tin ion source and/or a zinc ion source. Oral care compositions that have a tin ion source and/or a zinc ion source and one or more hops beta acids, such as from an extract from Humulus lupulus. Oral care compositions have a tin ion source and/or a zinc ion source and a beta acid derived from an extract of Humulus lupulus.
Medical device solutions for treating dental disease and methods for the treatment of dental disease
A medical device or solution for treating dental discomfort by at least partially occluding dental tubules is disclosed. The medical device or solution contains a polysaccharide or other biocompatible polymer with an antimicrobial metal, antimicrobial metal compound, or antimicrobial metal ion bound to a biopolymer. The medical device or solution further comprises at least one soluble antimicrobial. The soluble antimicrobial may be a water soluble metal iodide, water soluble metal fluoride, or a water soluble metal chloride encompassed with the nanogel. The medical device may be a solution of a chitosan with a nanoparticle of silver fluoride on the chitosan and at least one of a sodium fluoride or silver fluoride. The solution may be water based solution. Methods of applying the medical device or solution are also disclosed.
Deodorant compositions
A deodorant stick comprising: at least about 25% of a liquid triglyceride; at least one antimicrobial; a primary structurant with a melting point of at least about 50° C.; and less than 8% of secondary structurants having a melting point of at least about 60° C.; said stick being free of an aluminum salt; and said stick having a hardness from about 80 mm*10 to about 140 mm*10, as measured by penetration with ASTM D-1321 needle.
SEAWEED-DERIVED COSMETIC COMPOSITIONS
A cosmetic composition is disclosed for applying to skin. The composition includes a liquid and dispersed in the liquid: any amount or form of fucoidan, any amount or form of beta glucan; and any amount of a marine extract. When the cosmetic composition is applied to the skin, the appearance of the skin is improved.
