Mineralization agent and mouth wash comprising the same
A mineralization agent, including, by weight: 5-50% of a film-forming protein, 5-40% of an amelogenin peptide, 5-30% of a water-soluble phosphate, 4-20% of a tris(2-carboxyethyl) phosphine hydrochloride, and 1-10% of a pH regulator. The film-forming protein is selected from the group consisting of lysozyme, bovine serum protein, insulin, α-lactalbumin, or a mixture thereof.
Processes and methods
The disclosure is directed to processes and methods of reducing bloating and breakage of containers and packaging that house oral care compositions. Also contemplated are products and formulations that are produced or obtained from the processes and methods described herein.
Skin Whitening Composition Containing Dihydro-5-Methylfuran-2(3h)-One Derivative
The present invention relates to a composition for skin whitening comprising a dihydro-5-methylfuran-2(3H)-one derivative, an isomer thereof, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof having melanogenesis inhibitory activity and melanosome degradation activity. Specifically, the composition of the present invention inhibits melanogenesis and promotes melanosome degradation by means of the action of a dihydro-5-methylfuran-2(3H)-one derivative in a signaling pathway of melanin biosynthesis induced by α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH).
Oral Care Compositions and Methods of Use
This invention relates to oral care compositions comprising arginine or lysine, zinc citrate and zinc oxide, and a fluoride source, as well as to methods of using and of making these compositions.
METHOD FOR PROVIDING A BEVERAGE ADDITIVE
Methods are described that provide controlled release of beneficial bacteria to the oral cavity. Such bacteria can subsequently colonize the oral cavity and displace or suppress the growth of pathogenic microorganisms. Described devices include a stabilized preparation of such beneficial bacteria and provide a consumable liquid, wet foam, or gel that includes such bacteria when used.
Combination products and cosmetic compositions for controlling skin disorders and skin aging that affect keratinocytes and/or fibroblasts and the dermis
This invention relates to a cosmetic combination product comprising a first cosmetic composition comprising glucosamine or one of the salts thereof, a second cosmetic composition comprising hyaluronic acid, and possibly a third cosmetic composition comprising collagen, a cosmetic composition comprising glucosamine or one of the salts thereof, hyaluronic acid, and possibly collagen, the uses thereof, in particular for inducing the synthesis of hyaluronic acid and as such combat aging of the skin affecting the keratinocytes and/or the fibroblasts and the dermis, as well as a cosmetic method that implements these combination products and compositions.
TOOTH WHITENING AND TOOTH SENSITIVITY STRIP OR FILM
A tooth whitening and/or tooth sensitivity strip or film comprising: about 1-20 wt. % hydroxyapatite (HAP). A process for the manufacture of a tooth whitening strip or film, the process comprising at least the steps of: —mixing at least one or a combination of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) polymers wherein the amount of the polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) polymers is greater than 75 wt. % of the film or strip; and —an amount at least about 1-20 wt. % hydroxyapatite (HAP); and —at least one or a combination of polycarbophils; —with water to provide an aqueous tooth whitening liquid; —applying the aqueous tooth whitening liquid to a substrate to provide a substrate carrying the aqueous tooth whitening liquid; —drying the aqueous tooth whitening liquid to provide a tooth whitening film on the substrate, said film having a thickness from about 50 pm to about 500 pm.
METHODS AND MATCHA GREEN TEA CONTAINING COMPOSITIONS FOR PREVENTING AND TREATING TOOTH EROSION
An oral composition in the form of a lozenge or lollipop is provided. The composition comprises crosslinked polyvinylpyrrolidine (PVP), xylitol and Matcha green tea. A multi-layer lozenge or lollipop for neutralizing saliva and re-hardening tooth enamel is also provided. The lozenge or lollipop comprises an alkalinizing agent; a re-mineralizing agent comprising Matcha green tea; a base; a plasticizer; and a sugar alcohol, wherein the lozenge or lollipop upon oral administration raises the saliva pH from about 7 to about 10 in about 1 minute. Methods of making and treatment are also provided.
Oral Care Compositions and Methods of Use
This disclosure relates to translucent oral care compositions comprising one or more source(s) of zinc source and/or a stannous source. The translucent oral care composition can comprise one or more zinc and/or stannous ion source(s) in amounts effective to provide at least 28% soluble zinc and/or stannous as a fraction of the total zinc and/or stannous ion concentration in the composition; an abrasive (e.g., silica), wherein the abrasive has a refractive index of approximately 1.45 as measured in a 4% silica, 90% sorbitol/water solution; and an orally acceptable vehicle. Methods of using and of making these compositions is also disclosed herein.
Oral care implement having a release component
Described herein is an oral care implement comprising: a handle; and a head coupled to the handle, the head comprising a main body and a release component coupled to the main body, the release component comprising: a water-dissolvable matrix comprising a first polymer having a processing temperature greater than or equal to 130° C.; and a release agent comprising at least one of zinc oxide, potassium nitrate, and tetrapotassium pyrophosphate; wherein the release agent is dispersed throughout the water-dissolvable matrix.
