Free radically curable dental compositions
The present invention relates to novel free-radically curable dental compositions, comprising chain-like and/or cyclic and/or cage-type polysiloxanes substituted by free-radically polymerizable groups and having at least 3 silicon atoms and/or mixed forms thereof, disiloxanes substituted by free-radically polymerizable groups, optionally one, two, three or more free-radically curable dental monomers having no silicon atom, fillers, initiators and/or catalysts for free-radical polymerization, and also further customary additives, to the cured dental products formed from the dental compositions of the invention, and to the respective use thereof as dental material, especially as flowable filling composites (called “flow materials”), core buildup materials and luting cements. The invention further relates to a method for producing the dental compositions and to a process for producing a respective dental product. Additionally claimed are inventive kits containing the novel free-radically curable dental compositions.
Kit and method for indirect chairside production of composite inlays
The present invention relates to a kit for indirect production of composite inlays, comprising a polymerizable material for production of a dental model, a polymerizable material for production of an inlay, a polymerizable material for luting of a crosslinked and non-sand-blasted, non-silanized, non-etched, non-primed and non-roughened composite inlay, the surfaces of which have been fully polymerized, in the cavity. Also disclosed is a polymerizable material for increasing the bond strength between the polymerizable material for luting of a crosslinked non-sand-blasted, non-silanized, non-etched, non-primed and non-roughened composite inlay, the surfaces of which have been fully polymerized, in the cavity, and the hard substance of the tooth, and an acid solution for surface etching of the hard substance of the tooth. The invention further relates to methods for producing a composite inlay.

Self-healing dental restorative formulations and related methods
Dental restorative formulations comprising an additive material and a capsule incorporated into the continuous phase of a dental material. The additive material includes one or more alkoxy groups and one or more vinyl groups. The capsule includes a catalyst and a molecule with one or more silanol groups. The dental restorative formulation is applied and polymerized to form a composite. When a disturbance occurs in the dental composite, the capsule ruptures so that the catalyst initiates a condensation reaction between the molecule with one or more silanol groups and the one or more alkoxy groups thereby healing the dental composite.
Curable silicone composition having optical transparency and method of fabricating molded material of photocurable resin using the same
Provided herein is a curable silicone composition that has high optical transparency after being cured and that is in a putty form to be hand-mixable. A curable silicone composition contains: a specific organopolysiloxane as a component (1); a specific organohydrogenpolysiloxane as a component (2); a filler as a component (3); and a catalyst as a component (4). The difference between the refractive index of one of the components (1) to (3) that has the highest refractive index and the refractive index of one of the components (1) to (3) that has the lowest refractive index is 0.1000 or less. The complex viscosity of any of constituent compositions of the curable silicon composition before the curable silicone composition is cured is 10 Pa.Math.s to 100000 Pa.Math.s, as measured under predetermined measurement condition.
Orthodontic material, device and methods of producing the same
An aspect of the present disclosure includes a composition configured for use in the buccal cavity of a mammal and configured to adhere to the surface of a tooth or teeth and/or one or more orthodontic devices engaged to a tooth. The composition typically includes an admixed composite having an uncured (uncrosslinked) high consistency rubber base material, more typically an uncured (uncrosslinked) silicone high consistency rubber base material; a moisture activated adhesive, typically one or more polyvinylpyrrolidone; and a plasticizer, typically glycerin.
TWO-PACKAGE DENTAL ADHESIVE COMPOSITION
A two-package dental adhesive composition is provided that has an excellent adhesive property for each of various dental materials and also has excellent storage stability. The two-package dental adhesive composition includes a first agent and a second agent which are divided from each other. The two-package dental adhesive composition includes at least five components including: (A) an acidic group-containing polymerizable monomer; (B) a sulfur atom-containing polymerizable monomer; (C) a silane coupling agent; (D) a borate compound; and (E) water. The first agent contains only (A) the acidic group-containing polymerizable monomer and (B) the sulfur atom-containing polymerizable monomer out of the five components. The second agent contains only (C) the silane coupling agent, (D) the borate compound, and (E) the water out of the five components.
