Method of, and system for smoothing teeth
20170296312 · 2017-10-19 ·

A method of smoothing teeth by, for instance, filling in cracks, chips and eroded areas by applying calcium and/or casein and/or phosphate and a source of OH.sup.− ions thereto. The method optionally provides that very thin layer(s) of dental cement be interlaced with other applied materials, and that the results be maintained in contact with the teeth involved by application of a composition of matter that adheres to said teeth and holds the results in place, while allowing at least some permeation of saliva therethrough. The method can optionally involve application of a backing strip or tray or the like to secure the other materials in place, but this is not a requirement where the composition of matter is sufficiently securing.

A kit of parts for dental restoration

The present invention relates to a kit for dental restoration, comprising an aqueous activation agent solution comprising polyacrylic acid having a molecular weight of 100000-1000000 g/mol, wherein the concentration of the polyacrylic acid in the solution is 1-30 mg/l; and a lining material comprising 20-80 wt-% of a dental resin and 20-wt-% of an ion releasing material, which ion releasing material comprises at least one of calcium, phosphate and zinc, based on the total weight of the lining material.

CALCIUM SILICATE-BASED HYDRAULIC CEMENT TO FORM A COMPOSITE MATERIAL HAVING REINFORCING PROPERTIES

Hydraulic cements and hardened materials obtained after hydration of the hydraulic cements, especially cements useful in the medical field such as dental cements. In particular, a hydraulic cement including calcium silicate particles and calcium carbonate particles having specific particles sizes. The hydration of the hydraulic cement enables to provide a hardened composite material with reinforcing properties, having calcium silicate particles dispersed in a solid dispersant phase including calcium silicate hydrates (CSH) and porous intergranular areas including insoluble calcium carbonate particles having a d.sub.50 granulometry ranging from 1 nm to 1500 nm.

Composition for preventing or treating dentin-associated symptoms or diseases, and method using the same

Provided is a formulation for oral teeth, which includes a plurality of calcium ion carriers and a plurality of calcium-containing particulates. The particulates are carried by the calcium ion carriers, such that the formulation can prevent or rapidly treat dentin-associated symptoms or diseases, while providing a prolonged prophylactic or therapeutic effect.
