Semisolid oral dispersions comprising active agents
The semisolid oral dispersions include hydrophilic active agent particles in hydrophobic phase. The hydrophilic active agent particles can include bleaching agents, antimicrobial agents, anticalculus agents, and/or combinations thereof. The hydrophilic active agent particle can have a solubility in water of at least about 20 parts, by weight of the particles, in about 100 parts, by weight, of water.
SKINCARE COMPOSITIONS
According to the present invention there is provided a multi-phase fluid skincare composition comprising (a) at least one cream phase; and (b) at least one gel phase; wherein the cream phase and the gel phase are visually distinct phases that are packaged in physical contact: wherein the viscosity ratio of the cream phase to the gel plastic is 1.25 or greater: 1 or 1:1.25 or greater, preferably 1.25 or greater 1; wherein the viscosity of the cream phase is at least 15 Pa-s; wherein the viscosity of the gel phase is at least 10 Pa-s; wherein the cream plastic and the gel phase are present in the composition at a level such that the weight ratio of cream phase to the gel phase is within the range of from 65:35 to 35:65; and wherein the viscosity is measured at 23° C. The present invention also provides a collapsible tube having an outlet bore and containing the composition as defined above, wherein the tube is filled such that, when the composition is extended from the outlet bore, the extruded composition comprises the cream plastic and the gel plastic that are visually distinct from one another and within a weight ratio of the cream phase to the gel phase of between 65:35 and 35:65 across the cross-section of the extrusion. The present invention also provides a use of the composition defined above for the purpose of one or more of moisturising the skin, including hydrating the skin, improving the radiance of the skin, improving skin suppleness, reducing skin tightness, nourishing skin and/or reducing dryness. The present invention also provides a use of the composition defined above for the purpose of topical application to any one or more of the face, the neck skin and/or the decollete, preferably the face.
Multi-phase oral care compositions
Semisolid oral dispersions for whitening teeth including hydrogen peroxide adducts in petrolatum. The hydrogen peroxide adduct can have a solubility in water of at least about 20 parts, by weight of the particles, in about 100 parts, by weight, of water. The semisolid oral dispersion and/or the petrolatum can have a cone penetration consistency value of from about 25 to about 300.
MULTI-PHASE SHAMPOO COMPOSITION WITH AN AESTHETIC DESIGN
A container configured to hold a multiphase shampoo composition. The multiphase shampoo composition has a cleansing phase containing a detersive surfactant and a benefit phase containing a gel network. The cleansing phase and benefit phase are visually discrete phases, in physical contact, and form an aesthetic design suspended across at least a portion of the container.
MULTI-LAYER DEODORANT APPLICATOR STICKS HAVING MULTIPLE SENSORY CHARACTERISTICS
Multi-layer deodorant applicator sticks are disclosed to be applied to the body of a user to prevent or mask body odor. Each deodorant applicator stick includes a first deodorant composition layer having a first sensory characteristic, such as a particular fragrance, and at least one second deodorant composition layer having a different sensory characteristic. The first and second deodorant composition layers are joined to one another (e.g., within a container) so that the respective first and second sensory characteristics thereof are available to the user either simultaneously or one at a time as the multi-layer deodorant applicator stick wears down over time. That is to say, a customized mixture of the first and second deodorant composition layers having the first and second sensory characteristics can be applied to the body of the user from a single deodorant applicator stick so as to avoid the necessity that the user have access to a second deodorant applicator stick.
Multi-composition cosmetic products and method for manufacturing same
The invention relates to novel multicolour, multitexture and multimaterial cosmetic products as well as to a method for hot casting cosmetic compositions containing fats, in particular an oil. Said method advantageously renders a mold superfluous and allows the creation of products that include a plurality of compositions such as to produce highly original appearances. Said method also allows the production of products with a very irregular raised designs.
Series of capsules and method of manufacture, cosmetic composition and cosmetic treatment
A method of manufacturing a series of capsules (1A) comprising a core (3), and a gelled envelope (5) completely encapsulating the core and comprising at least two external phases (5A, 5B), wherein the gelled envelope has a external surface comprising at least two distinct portions (7A, 7B) formed respectively by the two external phases, and comprising the following steps: conveying a first flow (F1) that is intended to form the core, and a second flow (F2) of at least the two external phases that are intended to form the gelled envelope, wherein each external phase contains a liquid polyelectrolyte that is able to gel, at least one of the two external phases comprising a coloring agent, while the second flow surrounds the first flux about an axis (D2); successive formation of a plurality of liquid bodies (57) comprising a drop (107), and a film coating (109) coating the drop and having the two external phases, wherein the film has on its external surface at least two portions (109A, 109B) formed by the two external phases; and immersing each liquid body in a gelling solution (100) adapted to react with the polyelectrolyte of each of the two external phases, and recovering of the plurality of capsules. Series of capsules, cosmetic composition containing the capsules and cosmetic treatment using the composition.
SOLID HAIR CONDITIONING AGENT CONSISTING OF AT LEAST TWO COMPONENTS
A solid cosmetic composition comprises two separate Components I. and II., wherein the at least one Component I. comprises at least one of: starch fractions from corn, potatoes, rice, wheat and/or tapioca, cereal flour, and/or sugar selected from the group including glucose, sucrose, fructose, maltose, and the at least one Component II. comprises: from about 0.1 to 15.0% by weight of at least one cationic surfactant, from about 10.0 to 45.0% by weight of at least one polyhydric C.sub.2-C.sub.6 alcohol, from about 1.0 to 15.0% by weight of at least one saturated or unsaturated, branched or unbranched C.sub.8-C.sub.30 alcohol and/or a saturated or unsaturated, branched or unbranched C.sub.8-C.sub.30 carboxylic acid and/or a salt of a saturated or unsaturated, branched or unbranched C.sub.8-C.sub.30 carboxylic acid, and from about 1.0 to 20.0% by weight of at least one starch fraction, a modified starch and/or a starch derivative.
