A method for dyeing hair is disclosed. The method comprises (1) treating hair with an oxidative colorant agent (A); (2) subsequent to (1), treating the hair with a CH-acidic hair dyeing agent (B); and (3) subsequent to (2), treating the hair with a cosmetic decolorizing agent (Ox). The method comprises a time interval between (1) and (2) of from about 1 minute to about 1.5 months, and a time interval between (2) and (3) of from about 1 minute to about 1.5 months. A process for multitonal dyeing of hair is also disclosed. The process comprises preparing an oxidative colorant agent (A); treating hair with the agent (A) to give a colored hair; preparing a CH-acidic hair dyeing agent (B); treating the colored hair with the agent (B) to give a dyed hair; and treating the dyed hair with a cosmetic decolorizing agent (Ox) to give a multitonal dyed hair.

Cosmetic preparation containing a) hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose and b) xanthan gum, the preparation being free from polyacrylates, carbomers and polyvinylpyrrolidones.

An external skin preparation is described, and contains an oil-soluble ultraviolet absorber, 0.5% by mass or more and 20% by mass or less of an oil gelling agent, and 50% by mass or more of a non-aqueous volatile component. The external skin preparation is unlikely to drip upon application, provides an impression from use of less oiliness and less tightness, is likely to have a uniform distribution of the oil-soluble ultraviolet absorber on the skin surface after application to the skin, and has an excellent ultraviolet protection effect.

The disclosure provides hyaluronic acid (HA) gel formulations and methods for treating the appearance of the skin. The formulations contain hyaluronic acid and at least one additional ingredient. An aerosol cosmetic is filled up as a bulk solution together with a propellant in a pressure-resistant container and includes ethyl alcohol that is a main dispersion medium, an organic ultraviolet absorber, and an ester oil. The organic ultraviolet absorber includes an organic ultraviolet absorber that is solid at room temperature. The solid organic ultraviolet absorber is dissolved in the ester oil.

A one step hair color and relaxer system comprising: an alkalizing agent in the range between about 0.1% to about 8%, based upon the total concentration of the hair color and relaxer system; a hair dye; and an oxidizing agent in the range between about 0.1% to about 6%, based upon the total concentration of the hair color and relaxer system; wherein the pH of the hair color and relaxer system is in the range between about 9 to about 14.

Novel systems and methods for performing treatment (e.g., coloration) of keratinous fibers are disclosed. The methods and systems utilize one or more of a dispensing device which is configured to provide customized composition for treating keratinous fibers (e.g., a coloring composition), optionally formed from tablets; an optical reader, for obtaining sufficient characteristics of the keratinous fibers to make a realistic prediction of the outcome of a treatment (e.g., coloring treatment); a computational units for predicting an outcome of a treatment, optionally being interfaced with the dispensing device and for selecting a customized treatment; and tablet formulations which are useful in preparing customized composition for treating keratinous fibers. Further disclosed are rapidly disintegrating tablets for use in the preparation of compositions for treating keratinous fibers.

The invention also relates to a process for dyeing keratin fibres such as the hair using the composition of the invention, and to a multi-compartment device for using the composition of the invention.

The present invention relates to a process for dyeing keratin fibres, in particular human keratin fibres such as the hair, in one or more steps, comprising the application to said keratin fibres of a composition comprising one or more compounds of formula (I) and/or (II), and also to the use thereof for dyeing keratin fibres, and to a device: in which formula (I) or (II) R.sub.1, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5, R.sub.6, and n are as defined in the description. The compounds of formula (I) according to the invention can give powerful, chromatic and sparingly selective colourings with good colour build-up, which are resistant to the various attacking factors to which keratin fibres may be subjected, such as inclement weather, light, washing and perspiration. ##STR00001##
