PROCESSES FOR PRODUCING PARTICLES OF AT LEAST ONE POLYHYDROXYALKANOATE (PHA)
A process for producing particles of at least one polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA), the particles having an average diameter (d50) greater than or equal to 0.1 μm and less than or equal to 100 μm, may include: providing an aqueous suspension of the at least one PHA; and subjecting the aqueous suspension of the at least one PHA to a process of atomization by spray drying. A process for producing particles of at least one PHA, the particles having an average diameter (d50) greater than or equal to 0.1 μm and less than or equal to 100 μm, may include: atomizing an aqueous suspension of the at least one PHA by spray drying the aqueous suspension.

COSMETIC COMPOSITION
Anhydrous cosmetic compositions that provide improved dispersion of pigments and fillers, and solids spreading, as well as providing a matte color or mattifying effect. The anhydrous cosmetic compositions comprise a polyhydroxyalkanoate; a polysiloxane elastomer; and a filler, a pigment, or both.

AQUEOUS MIXTURES COMPRISING CELLULOSE NANOCRYSTALS AND SULFONATED POLYESTER
Aqueous mixtures can include cellulose nanocrystals and sulfonated polyester, where a glass transition temperature (T.sub.g) of the sulfonated polyester is greater than 25° C. In some instances, exemplary aqueous mixtures also include one or more additives, such as pigment. Exemplary aqueous mixtures can be applied as a film that is typically hydrophobic and resilient against water at room temperature. Upon application of warm water, such as at temperatures of from about 30° C. to about 60° C., the film can be removed with no or limited abrasion and/or with no or little removal oils.

Porous resin microparticles and manufacturing method for same
A manufacturing method for porous resin microparticles comprising steps of: heating a polyester thermoplastic resin having biodegradability to a temperature of 80° C. or higher and 200° C. or lower in a glycol ether solvent to obtain a solution, and cooling the solution to precipitate the polyester thermoplastic resin as porous resin microparticles.
Sprayable sunscreen composition
The present invention provides an anhydrous, sprayable sunscreen composition comprising one or more oil soluble UV filters and a combination of film formers comprising at least one copolymer of trimethylolpropane, adipic acid, neopentyl glycol and hexanediol and at least one acrylates/octylacrylamide copolymer having a molecular weight of at least 50 kDA measured using Dynamic Light Scattering.

APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR MODIFYING KERATINOUS SURFACES
An apparatus and method for depositing a particulate containing composition onto mammalian skin such that when the particles contact the mammalian skin they have a momentum defined by ρvr, which is within the range of about 0.1 kg/ms≦ρvr≦about 12.0 kg/ms. The particles can be in the range of from about 10 nanometers to about 10 micrometers, in size. And the particles may be selected from the group consisting of titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, iron oxide, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyethylene terephthalate, polycarbonate, polyvinyl chloride, glass, silica and mixtures thereof. The particles are imbedded below the first layer of dead skin cells in the stratum corneum but they do not pass all the way through the stratum corneum into the living cells of the epidermis or dermis layers of the skin.
