Processes and a multi-component packaging unit (kit-of-parts) are provided for decolorizing keratinous material which has been colored by the application of at least one pigment. A process includes applying to the keratinous material a decolorizing agent comprising at least one anionic surfactant, and having a pH value of 1.0 to 3.5, and rinsing the decolorization agent from the keratinous material after a contact time.

The present invention relates to a composition for dyeing human keratin fibers, comprising at least one natural dye, at least one triarylmethane synthetic direct dye and at least one compound of formula (I), in which Y represents a C.sub.1-C.sub.4 hydroxyalkyl group or a C.sub.1-C.sub.4 hydroxyalkyloxy radical, n denotes an integer ranging from 0 to 5, and X, which may be identical or different, represents a C.sub.1-C.sub.4 alkyl radical or a halogen. The invention also relates to a process for dyeing human keratin fibers using this composition.

One of the objects of the present invention is to provide a cosmetic composition that comprises water-soluble silicone-modified polysaccharides and water, is capable of being blended in an aqueous phase of an emulsion, and improves the feeling during use, such as oiliness and stickiness. Furthermore, another object of the present invention is to provide a cosmetic composition that has water resistance and oil resistance, has excellent makeup durability, and does not come off with water but can be removed with warm water. The present invention provides a cosmetic composition comprising the following components (A) and (B): (A) a silicone-modified polysaccharide comprising one or more silicone residues bonded to a hydroxyl group in a monosaccharide unit of the polysaccharide, the silicone residues being represented by the general formula (1) and having an average number of the silicone residues bonded to one mol of the monosaccharide unit of 0.001 mol or more and 0.1 mol or less, in an amount of 0.05% to 20% by mass, based on a total mass of the cosmetic composition, and (B) water in an amount of 5% to 99% by mass, based on the total mass of the cosmetic composition.

Provided are methods for straightening hair, which comprise contacting the hair with a hair straightening agent and one or more aminosilicones, and, optionally, one or more epoxysilicones. Also provided are compositions, which include a carrier, a hair straightening agent, and an effective amount of one or more aminosilicones, and, optionally, one or more epoxysilicones. Additionally provided are products, which include one or more hair straightening agents, an effective amount of one or more aminosilicones, and instructions for applying the hair straightening agent(s) and aminosilicone(s) to the hair. The products of the invention may optionally include an effective amount of one or more epoxysilicones and instructions for applying the epoxysilicone(s) to the hair.

The present invention is in the field of rinse-off conditioner compositions; in particular, relates to rinse-off conditioner compositions with improved conditioning benefits. Silicones are a commonly used conditioning agent and thus improved deposition of silicones is always desired. It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide improved silicone deposition and also improved sensory of hair. It has been found that the above objects can be achieved by a conditioner composition comprising a specific combination of silicones.

The present invention is in the field of rinse-off conditioner compositions; in particular, relates to rinse-off conditioner compositions with improved conditioning benefits. Silicones are a commonly used conditioning agent and thus improved deposition of silicones is always desired. It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide improved silicone deposition and also improved sensory of hair. It has been found that the above objects can be achieved by a conditioner composition comprising a specific combination of silicones.

To provide an acrylic silicone graft copolymer capable of effectively exerting a function in a composition for external application containing various oily components such as a natural oil, a hydrocarbon oil, ester oil and a silicone oil, and a composition for external application containing the acrylic silicone graft copolymer. A composition for external application including an acrylic silicone graft copolymer, which contains 2 to 25 mass % of a constitutional unit represented by formula (I), 55 to 85 mass % of a constitutional unit represented by formula (II) and 2 to 20 mass % of a constitutional unit represented by formula (III). wherein R1 is an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; R2 is an alkylene group having 2 to 10 carbon atoms; and n is an integer of 1 to 100.
