The smart chip may retain and store information regarding the assembly and preferably retains hours of use of the excimer bulb.

A method and a system for generating a fragrance (also referred to herein as perfume) are disclosed. A method may comprise providing a perfume blender machine (100) and cartridges (102) for storing liquid olfactory ingredients (112), the machine comprising dispensing means to dispense olfactory ingredients (112) from the cartridges (102) for generating a fragrance (114); controlling the dispensing means to generate a fragrance (114) based on instructions given by a user on the liquid olfactory ingredients (112) to be blended and the quantity of each; and generating a recipe with the information of the ingredients (112) and their respective quantities which have been used to generate the fragrance.

Thus the user smells scents emanated from the fragrance tablet and feels refreshing and soothing. The air inlet and the air outlet not only help emanation of scents from the fragrance tablet, but also guide the scents to spread along with air flows induced by movements of people who while walking or riding bicycles.

Controlling a diffusion rate of the liquid includes altering at least one of a voltage and a duty cycle applied to at least one component of the diffusion device.

In one aspect, a device includes a cartridge structured to include one or more chambers containing one or more scented substances contained in a corresponding chamber, a housing structured to include a compartment to hold the cartridge, an opening to allow the scented sub stances to dispense to an outer environment from the device, and one or more transporting channels formed between the compartment and the opening, in which each of the one or more transporting channels is configured to accelerate a scented substance from the corresponding chamber to the opening, and an actuator switch arranged in a corresponding transporting channel and operable to move between an open position and a closed position based on an applied signal to selectively allow passage of the scented substance from the corresponding transporting path.
