CORROSION-RESISTANT AND LEAK-PROOF STOMA PASTE WITH SELF-REGULATION OF STRENGTH AND PREPARATION METHOD
A corrosion-resistant and leak-proof stoma paste with self-regulation of strength is provided in this disclosure, with a formula comprising 4-40 parts of liquid rubber with a molecular weight ranging from 2000 to 5000, 8-18 parts of mineral oil, 14-34 parts of iota-carrageenan, 10-20 parts of plant polysaccharide and 15-20 parts of sericite, by weight. A product of the present disclosure can self-regulate hardness of the paste according to amount of stoma excreta through cooperation of the iota-carrageenan and the sericite to improve corrosion resistance of the paste; and synergistic effect provided by the iota-carrageenan and the sericite powder can improve strength and corrosion resistance of the paste.

An object of the present invention is to provide a feces treatment agent for colostomy, which on the assumption that characteristics required as a lubricant are shown, can maintain or improve the feces discharge properties from a colostomy pouch, inhibit the development of feces odor, and improve operativity and portability. A feces treatment agent for colostomy, in which an agent A including (1) a granular water-soluble lubricant, (2) a granular water-absorbing gelling agent, (3) sodium bicarbonate, and (4) a component including at least one selected from the group consisting of zinc oxide, limonite and zinc sulfide is contained in a water-soluble base material.

Disclosed is a layered barrier film having a first product component and a second detachable carrier component. The first product component includes a layer of material selected from a group including polyethylenes, polyethylene copolymers, polypropylene copolymers, thermoplastic polyurethanes, thermoplastic polyester elastomers, thermoplastic polyamide elastomers, thermoplastic elastomer compounds, and/or blends thereof, and a second layer made from at least partially inorganic material. The first product component has high barrier properties and is very soft. The second detachable carrier component is a layer of material selected from a group including polyethylenes, polypropylenes, polyesters, polyamides, and/or blends thereof.
STOMA SKIN SAVER COMPOSITION
A method includes identifying a stoma at an initial position. The method also includes identifying one or more portions of a leak originating from the stoma at an initial position. The method further includes applying a composition to the one or more portions of the leak. The composition includes bentonite clay and guaran. The bentonite clay and guaran enable the composition to soak the one or more portions of the leak, and prevent the one or more portions from continuing to flow. The method also includes determining whether additional portions of the leak have originated from the stoma after the composition has been applied.

OSTOMY APPLIANCE
An ostomy appliance comprising a barrier and a pouch which is adhered to the barrier. The barrier is made of a material comprising a top layer, a reinforcing layer, and an adherent layer. The top layer comprises a base material and upper and lower piles extending from opposite surfaces of said base material. The reinforcing layer being secured to said top layer by a first binder which will bond to said reinforcing layer. The adherent layer comprising a silicone gel which is bonded to said reinforcing layer by a second binder.
